I love this show. I mean sure it's slow paced but fuck it, I'm fine with it
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.I'm a bit back. At episode 28 to be exact. The first episode featuring the third opening. And well, considering what I'd seen I thought of the series to be well researched. But...
Who's the genius that came up with the idea that its actually a TRUNK thats hiding below the fuel tank of a Corvette Stingray?!?
hahahaha
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.Episode 69: A hit in the feels, both expected and unexpected.
- Let's get this out of the way... they show us an actual snippet of the in-universe Mr. Hibbit anime, and it really sucks. XD
- Expected feels: Deneil Young's last flight. Sad to say goodbye to the cool old guy.
- For the unexpected: Murasaki has finally stepped on-stage! He is the third Japanese man to have stepped on the moon. Bravo.
- Mutta and the gang are officially astronauts! And now Mutta's (hilariously dorky) picture is now up on the wall beside his brother's. Apparently Mutta is on the fast track— he's gotten the chance to become part of a backup crew! But things might not be so dandy...
Nice to see a traumatic incident being dealt with realistically, rather than having the person be perfectly fine afterwards. Also the problem with the buggy's brakes could be easily solved with a limited RCS system, nothing big you don't need a hover-buggy after all just enough to make an emergency stop.
Haven't been following UK recently, haven't got the time to catch up.
Guys, you are not getting Orion. Lori Garver is leaving. Orion have too much fatal problems to be fixed. It is not happening.
Same position, here. Too much backlog.
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.Episode 75: The first real ROTFL this show has given me in a while: Nanba actually DRAWING A HEART MARK IN THE SKY FOR SERIKA... but it's JASON BUTLER WHO ACTUALLY SEES IT. My. Word. XD XD XD

Their conversation afterwards makes it infinitely better.

Dat awkwardness
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.I'm really liking Olga. For some reason she feels fresh, a character you wouldn't normally see in anime. She has a surprising amount of personality for a side character.
Winter break. Time to catch up with about 30 episodes of UK.
The number of time fighting NASA bureacracy with the mission of NASA and wins in real life: zero. Wonder how that happened.
Episode 93: Eddie Jay is a cool dude.
The last episode was recorded and finalized earlier this week.
Last episode? :( The show's ending?
I stopped at that episode which hinted that Mutta's old lady mentor may not make it. (Apparently, I've got issues with Mentor Occupational Hazard. Same thing happened with Jojo.) I should get to recontinuing both.

Space Brothers is #1, and that list made me feel old. 5 of the top 10 is on my must rec list.
/puts Library War on watch list.

Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Don't put Library Wars anywhere close to that list. It's a horrible show that pretends to have maturity like a horribly bluffing five year old. Otherwise that top 10 is pretty good.
Shame, though, if Uchuu Kyoudai is coming to a close. It's been a reliable bit of quality entertainment every week for a good long while now and still has room for places to go. But since the manga is ongoing, hopefully we'll get continuation later.
Oooh, good picks in that poll, 'cept for the odd few like Library War. Missing stuff like Real Drive too.

Well, if it had to go that was as good a sendoff as could be hoped for.
A wonderful finale. I was really, really hoping to Feel So Moon again.
The prequel movie is coming out later this year, and more importantly, the series will be coming back after a hiatus! (so there's more material to adapt) https://twitter.com/animeuchukyodai/status/445767679542972416

That was a decent sendoff, I agree.
Is the prequel movie about Hibito or Mutta? Or heck, Brian Jay? XD
Apparently it's about Brian Jay, or at least how he affected Hibito. The theme is apparently mourning and dealing with loss, which means this movie will me.
I love this series way too much. I just visited Japan and picked up all the volumes (23, all used), plus an anime fan guide, a character guide, and a children's book based the anime. Space Brothers has reminded me to push towards my goals, and it should continue to help me in manga form as one of my big goals is to learn Japanese. I'm actually surprised about how much of the manga I can read after 6 months of study.
I have yet to watch the live action movie but I'll probably buy it as a self birthday present in the fall.
Finally have time to finish the series.
Cries load of tears at the launch of Ares I because that's never, never going to happen in real life. I
Just saw the live action movie and it was fairly good. Special mention has to go to the "actor" they got for Young-ji's role; he seems familiar from somewhere.
First Mutta acting as an engineer, now Serika as a doctor? Awesomesauce.
