Becaue the title sequence is already short enough as is.

Also, I believe it was edited out of the CN version as well.

Thunder Cats were fine. I saw every episode expect the last two. I will know and so will the other thread. Outlaw will most know the best.

Supposedly since this was the pilot it was a bit longer than a regular episode, so we shouldn't have to worry about other episodes/shows being pared down.

I can live with that one scene being cut. It's just the characters wandering into a parking lot without their disguises and freaking out some people. Since it happens immediately after the scene where they talk about how they should try to blend in, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense since you'd think their first thought would be to disguise themselves.

[up][up]You mean me?

If you're asking why the Thundercats opening is so short, CN basically made them make it that short, probably so they could cram in more commercial time. The main reason is legal issues. Apparently they needed to pay Rankin Bass for use of the classic opening tune, so the shorter they could afford to make it the better, and there's no way the show runners would let the new series not open with that theme music. Plus, they decided they would use that extra bit of time in case an episode needed some pacing adjustment. I think the maximum amount of time they were ever allowed to play the theme music was 15 seconds, which they saved for the best piece of animation in the series.

By the way, here's a heads up for those who haven't seen T Cats yet. Now this is just my opinion, but I think that episodes 10-15 is the weakest stretch of the season. A couple I count as bad episodes, and the rest I think are very average, though they all still have great animation. I have seen differing opinions on this though. Some fans really dislike eps 3-9 and think the series gets a lot better at episode 10. Personally, I think the show's best stretch of episodes is 16-21. You should probably see for yourself though. I still like 10-15, even if I think most of the other episodes are better. But the ones I do dislike are definitely 3 and 10, with 14 and 15 being kind of poor as well.

There is someone with that name on tv.com, but as far as I can tell they have no posts. Do you have link to any of this person's posts?

Thundercats wasn't canceled, they just don't know if they're making a second season or not yet.

And the Sym-Bionic Titan thing is out of Toonami's hands, Demarco said that was just the master they got.

sometimes I feel like I know you from somewhere any information please call 555....

Oh! Okay.

I didn't have the full story on Thundercats. "Don't know if we're making another season" is a lot better than "the show was cancelled, and the last episode is just a random rank-and-file episode".

Yeah, officially it is on hiatus which means Cartoon Network is thinking about what to do with it.

If the second season is on Toonami, how dark do you think the show is going to get? On screen death? or something else.

The second season, more likely than not, will be aired on Cartoon Network first and only come to Toonami in reruns. I doubt CN is gonna spring for a show to put on at 2:30 and get .75mil viewers, especially when they're not willing to pump money into Toonami itself.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

Well, then I guess I'm gonna have to watch the Toonami reruns. If it gets good ratings, that should help the decision.

[up][up]It's either gonna get canned outright or given another season during daylight hours. Having a show produced for a ratings lightweight that's only around because of niche demand and being Adored by the Network isn't gonna happen.

Thunder Cats is that at the moment, but I'm not sure if they are Adored by the Network. I'm just think if it got canned for daytime hours.
