i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartAlright, here we go.
Lore
- Place: Farnborough, England, United Kingdom
- Time: Nighttime, June 13th, 1896
"We have reason to believe there are some Clansmen within this group," he starts off, stroking his mustache as he paces back and forth in front of the travelers, "and I know they won't reveal themselves so readily, so the city council and I have decided in a solution."
Naturally, someone asked what that solution was.
"It's rather simple," he muttered. "Each day, we will have an execution, with the one being executed decided by a democratic vote. We will continue this until we feel the threat of the Clan is no longer...out there."
Naturally, someone wondered why the hell the mayor didn't say that first.
Also, naturally, someone said, "Execution?! That's barbaric!"
"It may seem that way," the mayor lamented, "but I don't want any of my townsfolk being killed, no matter if they're monether, Were, or what have you."
The travelers let out a great sigh, and they were soon sectioned off and made to rest in a well-known inn, which was promptly evacuated of any other travelers and vagabonds beforehand. However, to say the inn was kept monitored in the slightest would have been a bold lie to tell...
Roles
- One-Soul - Essentially the scrubs of the ethereal world. They don't get any special powers or neat tricks, but what they lack in cool abilities, they compensate with their large numbers. And let us not underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers. Every day, they can vote on someone to lynch. At night, they...they can write a letter? I don't know, get creative. Think of something. This role wins when all Clansmen are killed.
- Were - Weres are exactly what they sound like. Thanks (or no thanks) to their ethereal genealogy, when they get elated, they can either transform partially or fully into another species. Two Weres have currently been identified within the group:
- Partial Were - A chameleon Were that is a bit shy about their condition. They can use their color changing to avoid detection, protecting them from being detected and acted on by other roles, though not saving them from a kill. This role wins when all Klansmen are killed.
- Full Were - Harassment born from their abilities has made them more than a little misanthropic, and while they tend to keep calm during the day, almost eerily so, by night, they let out their frustrations, turning into a bloodthirsty dire wolf with no qualms on killing. Every other night, starting with the second night, they can camp out by someone's home, killing that person and anyone who comes by. This role wins when there are only two other people left alive.
- Psychic - Gifted with superhuman intellect from their primarily human ethereal genealogy, psychics are capable of extraordinary things, from influencing one's hormones to more extreme cases like blocking the photons from entering people eyes. This one's mostly inexperienced, so they aren't capable of that, but each night, they can give a single person a shock of melatonin to make them very sleepy, preventing them from executing a night action. If the Clan Leader is hit with this, no nightkills are performed. This roles wins when all Clansmen are killed.
- Fyskal Spirit - Since calling them Physicals would be a bit confusing. Having died and been returned to life by a Reaper, they have domain over the laws of physics and space-time, specifically the flow of time. Every night, they can choose one person to arrest in time, preventing them from using a night action and voting during the day. If the Klan Leader is hit with this, no nightkills are performed. This role wins when all Clansmen are killed.
- Reaper - Governing the flow of souls...well, maybe one or two, they have the power to influence ethereal energy and use it however they see fit. But they're content with just soul reading, which they find very interesting. After all, it is technically true that Ms. Willis is a huge b**ch...or was. Each night, they can choose one person to read their souls. One-Souls, and Klansmen will show only a couple or a few souls, Fyskals, Weres,, Informants, and Psychics will show up with their respective soullines, and the Soulless will, obviously enough, be soulless. Oddly, the Clan Leader will have...quite the unusual lineage themselves. This role wins when all Clansmen are killed.
- Clansmen - Not to be confused with a Klansman, they are members of the Clan for Protection of Monethers. Or rather, a fringe sect who wishes to exterminate all non-monethers. Mitchell Clementine is not very happy about these guys. Anyway, each night, they can communicate and vote on who to kill, with the Clan Leader getting the final say. The Clan wins when their numbers equal the town's numbers.
- Clan Leader - Again, not a wizzard, or a wizard for that matter, despite the pointy hat. They're the head honcho in charge of this section of the Clan, and when they're targeted for the first time by another role, they can skirt it off like nobody's business. Also, when they die, the Clan gets two kills that night. The Clan wins when their numbers equal the town's numbers.
- Informant - What a schnook. Oh, sure, they're a budding psychic who wants to not die at the hands of the Clan, but instead of, well, fighting back, they decide to sell everyone else out. Talk about a coward. Anyway, the Informant functions much like a Reaper, being able to discern between different roles, only they act during the day, and they pass this information along to the Clan through a private message from myself. However, the Informant does not know the identity of the Clansmen and vice versa. If the Clansmen vote to kill them, there is not turning back. Oh, and they win with the Clan.
- Soulless - Born with no soul...what a pity. Every day, their very existence hurts...no, it...burns. They can feel that vacant hole in their heart, and with each step, each breath, each passing moment, it throbs with pain. No one knows this pain...no friend, no family, doctor, teacher...they've been prescribed pills and whatever, under the pretense of "cardiovascular disorder", but it stems deeper than that. Oh, how they wish everyone would understand. Oh, how they wish everyone would suffer as they did all these years. The Soulless function much like any other Clansman, but when they're the only one left, that's when the real fun begins. Then, they will have the opportunity to kill two people each night, though the second kill fails 50% of the time, and the first action taken against them will fail. Besides winning with the Clan, they will also win if there are only two other people left. This supersedes the Full Were's win condition if both happen to be alive at that time.
Rules
- There are two phases in each day.
- Day Phase - Voting, general conversing, and the Informant's action takes place here. This phase lasts 48 hours, or when a majoritynote is reached.
- Night Phase - All other power roles act here, with each action being sent to me via PM. If no PM is received, you do not act. This phase lasts 24 hours, no exceptions.
- No PMs about the game between each other unless you're a Clansman.
- Don't be a dick. There will be accusations thrown left and right, as to be expected, but don't take this personally. This is only a game.
- If you feel the need to quit, shoot me a PM and you will be removed from the game without any interference. Phases will continue as normal, so removing a player does not count as a lynch if it happens during the day.
- Try not to roleclaim. I will explicitly not allow any roleclaiming on the first day, but after that, I will still advise you not claim unless you feel it to be absolutely necessary.

Just as a crash-course refresher, I remember most mafia rounds having direct quotes from the PM be a no-no... so what constitutes roleclaiming beyond that? I'm trying to think of how to not overstep that boundary while still maintaining a hold on the art of honesty or deceit.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaEssentially, don't come out and say your role in one of your posts, unless you think you absolutely have to (which, I can say you most likely won't need to consider). You will get no brownie points or premier spot in the pride parade for it. I can take some minor implications, but there is a threshold between "minor" and "major" that I will decide, and there won't be any arguing about it.
Oh! And sorry, I didn't mention this earlier, but please confirm once you've received your role, thank you!
