Zeno is the scariest character in the show. Not really visibly threatening like Imperfect Cell, but still pretty spooky.
On an unrelated note, Goku is in his 50s now, right? Isn't Yamcha older than him? I know Goku has Saiyan genes that make him look like a young anime protagonist forever, but what's Yamcha's excuse?
Goku's actually in his early-to-mid 40s. But yeah, Yamcha should be pushing 50.
Yeah, and counting out the 8 years total he was dead, Goku is in his thirties physically.
Bulma at least probably got her youth genes from her mother.
Why is Yamcha a baseball player at the age of 50+?
It's been 3000 years…Because he's superhuman.
@Hobgoblin: Reminds me of this.
In any case, I think it's easy to forget, even for the people who make the show, just how old the characters are.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Actually Shlugo, Goku's been spending a lot of time in the HTC, I think he's made up 5 of those 8 years he's spent dead. Vegeta's like 6 years older physically than he is chronologically.
Martial Arts make you youngerr longer.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."You know it occurs to me. How many people did Cell eat? Anyone ever try to guesstimate the number on that?
If an average farmer is 12, and Cell ate enough people to skyrocket over 17 and Piccolo, I mean... a few cities, but how many? And did the gang ever erase everyone's memories of this? I mean, one moment you're just eating lunch with your family, and then the next your kids are watching your face get sucked down the end of a pointy green straw being held by a giant bug monster.
At least one of these things is going to require years of therapy.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Average farmer has a Power Level of 5. Assuming that's the average for an adult human and that Cell's Power Level went from 300,000,000 to 600,000,000, Cell would have to drink about 60,000,000 people. Of course, that's running on the utterly unfounded assumption that Cell absorbing his victim's Power Levels into his own is linear addition, which seems unlikely.
Yeah, but just because someone can kill you doesn't mean you need to be spectacularly terrified of them all the time. It makes Beerus look (even more) like a bully to be so scared of someone the moment they're stronger than him and presumed unwilling to put up with his crap. He only picks on people weaker than him.
A large part of it is how Zeno will erase anyone or anything on the spot regardless of how he previously felt about them.
I mean...he kinda is...in his willingness to aboose his powers the moment something doesn't go his way or another.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. There was an episode of The Twilight Zone where everyone was terrified of this child because he had the power to basically destroy them all. That's pretty much Zeno's entire bit, that he's a shitty little temperamental child with literal infinite power.
My various fanfics.I don't think anybody denies that Beerus is a cowardly bully. He's not a hero, he's not a good guy. He's unapologetically selfish, lazy, a textbook Smug Super, and at best can only be considered morally neutral.
On the other hand, his power is such that even Goku doesn't have a chance at taking him out, so there's not a whole lot anybody can do about it (for the moment) except appease him.

Cowardly?
Beerus is just a guy who's got a job to do. He destroys things so that creation may occur. He eats food. Occasionally he fights people.
Also, he's not really cowardly. There's absolutely no point in antagonising Zeno, who could evaporate your entire universe on a whim.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Beerus is actually pretty bad at his job and more interested in the perks than the implications or purpose of his role.
That is true. I'm kind of hoping after this arc we get to see one of the universe with the really high mortal levels just to see how another Go D handles their job in comparison.
Yeah he's a shit Destroyer.
He sleeps too much of the time, treats his Kai like shit, & lets his preoccupation with food completely cloud his judgment.
He destroys planets based solely on their cuisine. As seen with the actually good Destroyers that is the totally wrong quota to hold planets too.
Indeed that be cool.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I called him cowardly because any time he meets someone more powerful than himself (save Whis), his response is abject terror.
Though thinking back, the only beings who fall into that category are Zen'O and the Grand Priest, so maybe that's not really indicative of cowardliness.
My main point that he is a selfish bully remains, however.
We have the other Gods of Destruction's official bios on Toei's site, and they're pretty revealing about what makes a good Hakaishin over a bad one. Here's specifically what we know of the 4 best Gods of Destuction:
Hakaishin of Universe 8, the 4th best Universe, Liquir. He lives to eliminate defects in his Kaioshin's plans and strictly destroys anyone that lowers his universe's mortal level.
Hakaishin of Universe 5, the 3th best Universe, Arak. He thoroughly investigates what he should target for destruction, and he tries to expand his universe's potential with the minimal amount of destruction.
Hakaishin of Universe 12, the 2th best Universe, Gene. He performs his job mercilessly and without discrimination, however he has become bored because there is nothing left that needs to be destroyed.
Hakaishin of Universe 1, the best Universe, Iwen (it should be mentioned that U1 is being deliberately kept as the most mysterious universe, as all the information about characters from this Universe is extremely vague and raises more questions than it answers). He has strong passion, enthusiasm, or explosive feelings in contrast to his calm appearance. He also, apparently, looks like fucking Shiva from Hinduism underneath that fur.

Well Beerus is more or less the same way except with the heroes (and that's only now, as Bulma is getting away with a lot of shit that would have never tracked before).
But yeah, the thing about Zen-O is that you can be his best friend one minute, and then simply erased the next. Remember that in both the manga and the anime, universe 7 was going to be erased without even a warning, despite him genuinely liking Goku.
I mean, it's entirely possible that even doing something wrong isn't necessary for him to get rid of you. At least with Beerus, you might do better if you appease him.
One Strip! One Strip! That's blatantly burying the lead. There's a difference between "Someone stronger than me" and "someone with the ability to erase me from existence." And in this case it's literally a fear that every important character who isn't the Angels or Goku shares.
I don't blame Beerus. After all, there used to be six more GoDs around.
