Some gag manga characters are, it all depends on how slapstick the series is and such.
Dr. Slump exists firmly out of realms of realism. Things don't have to make much sense, just be funny.
I loved this episode, so many classic gags, they even referenced that time Goku visited Penguin Village, way back in the original Dragon Ball.

I loved this episode, even though my knowledge of Dr. Slump consists of watching the Red Ribbon saga and buying volume 2 of the manga.

I mean, the fact that he knocked her down and put her down where Vegeta failed to even slow her down, and Goku was barely breaking even says something.
Then again, her gag nature might have been the reason for him getting the convenient stomach ache right when he was going to finish it. It's a good way to let them both walk away still looking good.

I've read almost all of Dr. Slump, so this episode felt like a love letter to my childhood.
Were Dr. Slump and Arale played by the original voice actors or the ones from the remake?
I wonder if this episode is going to get dubbed. I really hope so, though iirc Dr. Slump never got dubbed. I really want to hear Chris Sabat do Vegeta's fourth wall break.

The Dr. Slump crossover in the original Dragon Ball got dubbed so I don't really see any reason why this one won't.

To my knowledge, they did a test pilot of an English dub for Dr. Slump, but that's it. Even then, it was one of those dubs that changes all the characters' names (for example, they change Norimaki to actually being named Dr. Slump).
