Would you like a hug, as in an "I know that feel bro" hug, not like in a gay way or anything Y/N

You seem ambitious about this. Good luck.

Well, you see, those are the kind of connotations I sometimes miss as a non-native speaker xD This was one of the hardest phrases to translate - in the original Dutch, I went with held ('hero'), which is an informal, half-serious way of saying, 'awesome person who really helps you out'.

Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Dammit, I'm interested but an ocean away.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Welp, a friend of mine who plays bass said he's interested. It's a start!

Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...I should put up an ad like this. I have all of two friends who are really good musicians (though one is always saying "We should do something!" and never follows through, and the other already has a band that keeps him pretty busy since he's the sole guitarist, lead singer, and songwriter for it—essentially he is the band). Plus, it's probably going to be nigh impossible to find drummers any other way.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Yeah, I really like the idea of ads like this. Rather than endlessly arguing with people who happen to be my classmates about what kind of music to play and how seriously to take the band (as was always the case with the bands I've played in before), I decided to just cast as wide a net as possible and actively search for people who want the same things out of it in the first place.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Awwww yeah, I've got a reply from a guitarist who's interested in joining me! This is going swimmingly
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Awesome! You've got a folk duo now, so now you just need a drummer and you've git a power trio!

Few of you probably care about this, but I'm too excited about it not to post it here.
I just put up a few of these ads, in Dutch and English (damn international students...) on notice boards around campus. I really hope I'll get a reply! I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, both about the text of the ad and about the band concept.
Do you play the guitar, the bass or the drums? And do you like the blues as well as (hard) rock from the '60s and '70s? Then read on!
My name is Camiel. I'm a sophomore ( = second-year student) * of Electrical Engineering here at Delft University of Technology, and I would like to start a band. I'm a singer and a keyboardist myself (I've mostly played blues and boogie-woogie). I also like writing songs a lot – both music and lyrics. I've played in quite a few bands before, but I'm currently "bandless", which is starting to get boring. So I'm looking for enthusiastic fellow musicians who would like to write, jam and perhaps even perform together!
So what kind of music are we going to play? Of course, that depends on you as well, if you're that awesome guy/girl who wants to join me in this quest. But the sound I'm envisioning is a raw, passionate kind of blues-rock with lots of room for experiment and improvisation. From fast and furious rock & roll to moving blues and epic melodies. Of course, there will be plenty of room for wild organ, (slide) guitar, drum and bass solos! Think of Creedence Clearwater Revival, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, the Yardbirds, Little Feat and the Allman Brothers Band.
