Same here.
I really dread seeing Digibro's smug face once again ripping the shows a new one and everyone else following him like blind sheep and trashing those who like the series due to Digibro's rants. Doesn't help that he seems to be oddly proud about the fact that he ruined the franchise's reputation.
Except he totally didn't. None of the numbers we can gather regarding the show's popularity suggests anything of the sort. Hell, there was an entire video done on the subject that I'm pretty sure was linked here at some point.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! You just can't stop doing this can you? No matter what thread you're in, no matter what the subject is, you just need to remind us about someone's review making you feel bad for whatever reason. Why?

More on subject...SAO Alternative? What's that about?
deviantArt | TwitterBasically, its meant to be SAO, but written better (Which is Reki Kawahara's goal for it) and a bit of a What If? universe.
Watch SymphogearHmm I already more or less like the anime's portrayal of GGO as is, lulzy as it can be at times. So I'm all aboard for a better written version of it.
Unless better written means "moar Kirito, less everyone else"

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyNo, its not a What if?, it's a spin-off created by fellow Light novelist Sigsawa Keiichi, who worked as the gun consultant on the GGO portion of SAO II. The SAO Alternative series GGO and Clover's Regret are spin-offs taking place in the world of the series with their own cast of characters.

Blog - TumblrSo, who's most likely to get the live action show if it is made? Something about this screams CW/Freeform to me.
Premise, after Kirito and Sinon dominated the Bullet of Bullets Tournament against a field of opponents who have clearly never read The Hunger Games, the G Ms of Gun Gale Online decide to host a team-survival tournament called Squad Jam.
Is Progressive still a thing or did that get dropped?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Also worth noting the author of GGO Alternative is also the author of Kinos Journey.
And speaking of Gun Gale Online, so glad to see that not only is one of the games coming to PC, but it's the one based on GGO. Looks kinda janky in the preview videos (but eh, it's a licensed game), but might be fun to dabble around with on sale.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"Today is Kirito` Birthday.
Happy Birthday Kirito.

Watch me destroying my country...I didn't expect Yuuki's ghost showing up next to Asuna when she used Zekken's skill. That, that actually caught me off-guard.
ORDINAL SCALE IS AN IRL VRMMO RIGHT? NONE OF THIS SHOULD BE HAPPENING.
I suspect they're back in VR-land at this point in the movie.
AND WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING IN WITH EIJI IN THIS SCENE, JUMPING OFF WALLS N' SH'T.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yeah, that second fight is happening in VR-land because the headsets work as full-dive VR headsets instead of just AR. Because sure, why not, I guess the tech got super-miniaturized since the original gear was released.
And does Eiji's fighting make any sense in an AR game? Nope. The final fight is also pretty absurd, especially the bit where every semi-relevant character from every game just happened to be online at that exact moment and could somehow be pulled into this exact boss fight. But it's pretty and the fanservice is strong enough to warp the laws of the plot.
deviantArt | TwitterSo then
Are they all resting on a park bench somewhere? Or are they standing in place while all of this is going on in Full Dive/mode/VR-land?
And one of the comments mentioned that Eiji is wearing an exosuit IRL (and Kirito pulls something off his back, so that sounds legit). I mean, I guess that makes sense, but that is SOME HARDCORE, CRAZY-ASS BS for a gaming enthusiast.
In a world where a man traps thousands of people inside of an online VR game I shouldn't be questioning this.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Oh, have you not seen the movie? A lot of this is actually explained (albeit badly) in the movie.
The final fight: everyone who was there first is sitting in stadium seats (the stadium because it's for a concert that's part of a trap set by the guy who made the AR game for all the SAO survivors) and the ghost of that guy's daughter is trying to block an AR monster from killing the players who went into VR to fight SAO's final boss. The people Yui brings are all playing VR games in their homes, presumably?
Eiji: it's not really an exosuit, more like a weird neural chip thing that hooks into his spine and lets him predict people's movements. The ping-ponging does not make sense in universe either, the chip only let him predict things and improve his reactions and not superparkour at will
There's a lot of questions about how any of what happens in this movie actually happens, especially when they're worried about an AR threat killing players who are currently in VR (and therefore not hooked into the AR simulation that the monster is inside of) somehow. You just kinda have to go with it.
deviantArt | TwitterTo some extent you just have to shrug and go with it.
Yuri fanfiction writer! http://www.fanfiction.net/~shanejayellWilling Suspension of Disbelief after all. Which some haters of this franchise say is jut excusing bad storytelling.
I won’t name names.

Because it is bad storytelling.
Kirito is supposed to be this anti-social loner but Reki Kawahara had women falling in love with Kirito left and right and while that the in-universe logic is usually fine, the women aren't put off by Kirito's self-isolation tendencies and Kirito isn't getting flustered by the attention that he's getting from the opposite sex that he never got IRL.
And then there's the fact that anyone who isn't Kirito, Kirito's allies, or the villains are stupid, weak or both.
And the games that Reki Kawahara writes about are jumbled messes that prove that he has barely played any games at all.
You gotta start somewhere.Honestly, SAO the game isn't that bad. The execution is absolute garbage but the core concept is sound and has been used in many other games that are well loved.
Of course, the same can be said about the entire work so hey.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Could someone go into detail about this point?
As much shade as I'd like to throw at this franchise, the whole "this game makes no sense/is poorly-designed" criticism never really grabbed me.
SAO is an online virtual reality game invented by a psychotic, amoral game designer. Any flaws in it's design can be attributed as such, but honestly, I don't recall any glaring issues with SAO's game design or anything that would have pissed me off as a gamer (besides the whole you die in the game you die for real bit).
So that leaves ALO - another game designed by a psychotic, amoral game designer. Second verse, same as the first. What was actually wrong with ALO's design minus the crazy inventor?
GGO is the only fair game but... wasn't it part of the wave of indie VRMMO's that came about after ALO?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It is funny how people act like kirito has a harem when he really does not outside of the video games that makes it appear that way. In the anime of characters alive and dead there are only four characters who actually count as being infatuated with him.
Thosnecharacters being Asuna, Leafa, Lizbeth and Saichi.
Silica was twelve at the time she has an crush at most and considering he happened to be at the right place at the right time to prevent her death and helped revive her pet not surprising. He mostly helps because somehow she reminds him of his sister.
Pretty sure the two faction leaders in ALO flirted with him to get something out of him considering it was right after he defeated one of the best players in ALO.
Sinom hasn't really done anything minus the Excalibur situation which I believed was her paying back for pulling her tail earlier in the caliber arc.
He never really interacts with Yuuki minus their Twp duels which lost both of.
Saichi who dies because of trap room is hard to say, but at least from kirito he cared enough that her death did effect him . He hunted for a revival item to revive her, her death is the reason he nearly gets himself killed helping Lizbeth. Which his words were he did so Lizbeth would not die alone. The last moment is when kirito pretty falls apart right before skull reaper boss.
With Asuna the progressive manga will have it make more sense in development since the work together more in it. They work together they have each others back. They pretty much adopted a child with with the AI yui. Then there the world tree arc which is him making sure she wakes up. It is the main reason he goes into ALO to begin with.
Lizbeth is one of the few people he trusted enough to know his duel wielding before it was revealed against the boss. She also did attempt to confess her feelings.
Also in a game of death are people really going to be concerned with personality. Truth be told it should be easy to interact in a game rather than in the real world. Kirito tends to only play with people he know in terms of quests that are not raids. In terms of getting items or information he seems to only go to one shop and one information broker in Sao. In terms of weapons he really only goes to one person with the exception being during the world tree arc which I assume was because he was in a rush.
