Honestly, it's freaking me out since I recognize people by their avatars so I keep seeing Asunyan and go "Oh, crap. Someone ninja'd me. What'd they- Oh wait, that's me."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It looks good on you.
I figured out why Kyouji named his avatar "Spiegal." Spiegal means "mirror," and he intended to mirror Sinon. It's the same reason that Death Gun uses the Black Star pistol; in Kyouji's mind, Shino is the most awesome girl in the country, if not the world. Therefore, he wants to reflect her awesomeness, both to honor her and win her affection, as well as to make himself awesome like her.
Of course, this also illustrates that Spiegal was not the product of a healthy mind, even before he thought of Death Gun. Kyouji was trying to become someone else every bit as much as Shino was. The difference between Kyouji and Shino is that Kyouji embraced the insanity, whereas Shino was simply trying to heal her PTSD, even if she had to become somebody else to do it.
Wait i thought Kyouji played before Shino and told her she should try it. I also think i remember him saying that it´s sad for him that Shino is better than him although he was playing longer. His build also is rather diffrent from hers, while she has strength as a main focus he used agility (which is why he became worse after the last patch).
And on a sidenote ist Spiegel not Spiegal^^(oh god now i remember how i laughed at deathguns avatar Sterben the german translation wasn´t much better and named him Mortis, which to be fair at least isn´t german)
How did they handle the protagonists' misunderstanding of the name? You know, how they thought Sterben was a typo-ed Steven.
Had to watch the episode because i normaly only watch subbed (dubbed only with a friend who can´t read subtitels but he became bored after the first 3 episodes of season 2^^). They donßt think it´s a typo instead they explain that mortis is latin (so the same with Sterben) and then say there is the term "rigor mortis" wich means "leichenstarre". (Is rigor mortis the standard term for the stiffness of a dead body in english? The other wiki doesn´t give another name)
Yeah, rigor mortis is the term used in English.
It doesn't matter that Kyouji started playing GGO before Shino. He's thought of Shino as the pinnacle of awesomeness ever since she killed that robber.
I wouldn´t go that far. I interpreted his view more along the lines that he thought she did the right thing and wanted her to see it the same way. I still believe that in-universe his Spiegel name wasn´t because of your reasons, maybe he just liked the sound of the word or he wanted to play some kind of counter playstyle(which i find fitting for the name). But out-universe after i thought a bit about your reasoning it could be that you´re correct, or it was only supposed to foreshadow his involvement with Deathgun because both have german names
I don't think he admires her for any good and healthy reason. She is his ideal: someone who has killed in real life. She can be strong and composed in the game despite having issues in real life. Her existence enables his idea of discarding reality for the game, and that's why he latches on to her.
Author of The Second Coming (NGE) and The Coin (Haruhi). Also, analyzing the ending of Phantom Bullet, I concluded that Kyouji was never in Shino's apartment during the tournament. There are no signs of forced entry or trespass, because Kyouji never broke in. He had a Xanatos Gambit planned in order to sell out the Death Gun conspiracy. If Shino loses the tournament or gets shot by Death Gun, Kyouji was planning to let her wake up, knock on her door, and spirit her away to America, possibly after faking their deaths. If she won the tournament and accepted his proposal, he would claim to have fought off the Death Gun conspirator and made him drop the syringe. He would then give the police a description of Johnny Black and say that he was wearing latex gloves, hence the lack of fingerprints. He had a perfect reason to suspect that Shino was a target, since she was one of the best players in Gun Gale Online, and she lives alone, like the other victims. Even if he was arrested, there's no way he could've been convicted considering: Johnny Black is at large, so there's no scientific evidence to refute Kyouji's story (i.e. Johnny Black's fingerprints or DNA being found at the scene of one of the other Death Gun murders), Shoichi is not a credible witness given that he is a serial killer and has reason to be envious of Kyouji for supplanting him, and Kirito hasn't witnessed anything that incriminates Kyouji, and what testimony he can give would be torn to shreds by any competent defense attorney, who would make the case about a non-existent Love Triangle.
Yeah, it has always been implied that there was no one else in Shino's house during the tournament.
You know from my perspective Shinkawa's character would have been better off as one of the good guys.
I mean think about it, He's friends and has a crush with the heroine of the season, not to mention Kirito and Sinon's relationship isn't even romantic and has issues with his game character's build a build that is somewhat similar to Kirito's.
As I would write it. Phantom Bullet should have been used to develop Sinon and Kyouji as the heroes of GGO. While Kirito shares his experience with them as a survivor of SAO. They could have used some of those episodes having Kirito teach Spiegel like an Obi-wan Kenobi to Luke Skywalker how to properly use his agility in combat and show the world that the an AGI build isn't really that bad and maybe help him out in winning the heart of his crush
And maybe they should have BOB be a team based tournament where they introduce some new interesting characters.
And just as all was going well for Kyouji, BAM he finds out his brother is Death Gun which should bring some conflict to his character
And I think Kyouji should have saved Sinon in the end to show how his character has taken levels in badass
You know, with how crazy the Alicization Arc has been getting, he still might. Yes, he's done enough to be imprisoned for life (besides the two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Attempted Rape, there's the four counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and numerous lesser offenses), but he arguably hasn't crossed the Moral Event Horizon because he never succeeded at personally raping or killing anyone, and he was pretty messed up to begin with. Kyouji making a Heel–Face Turn as a Boxed Crook during the Alicization Arc would make sense both as a way to redeem him and as something the government might be desperate enough to try, given that the arc villains are worse than he is, and some VR-obsessed people may have just started World War III over the Alicization Project. I mean, the idea of the US government attacking a Japanese weapons project is in itself an act of war; such a thing occurring a year and a half after a Japanese scientist tried to sell illegal weaponized VR technology to the US and six months after a breakdown in diplomacy prevented the Japanese government from getting American cooperation in a serial killer case connected to the US only serves to heighten already strained tensions. That it occurs in the run-up to the 4th of July comes off as something out of the backstory of Ghost In The Shell.
Under those circumstances, I'd expect hardliners in the Japanese government to push for rapid deployment of a nuclear deterrent. Pulling out all the stops in cyber warfare is simply a no-brainer at this point, and that specifically includes providing Rath any resources that would be useful for the Alicization Project.
Hello guys?...."i'm nervious".
I just end to read the First Vol. of the Light Novel. Was a good read, i enjoyed it...who was weird....
All my friends hate SAO. "A weaboo Wish-Fulfillment sillness". I...kinda feel bad by like it.
Eh, i heard many people who complain who Kirito is a "crazy torturer" for his brutal attack to Sugou in the end to the Fairy Dance Arc (i like that name). What are your views about that?.
PD: The complain for that become really laughable when the same guys who say who Kirito is a monster who deserve be incarcelated say who Kenshiro is the best hero ever. Kenshiro just flat out torture people like his standart method.
Well...this not is the first time when i like a series who everyone hate.

Watch me destroying my countryI forgot I had this thread on my watchlist. Don't remember why I did but oh well.
If you want to understand why most people have a negative opinion on Sword Art Online, I think this review by Digibro is the best one for examining it.
It's pretty long though, so get comfortable before watching it.
Oh, i understand why people hate it. I talk because i like it even with their flaws. And that make me feel alone and sad (hey, just like a series who everyone your friends dislike).
Watch me destroying my countryit's whatever dude, i like some stuff i wouldn't consider very good from a critical standpoint and i think a lot of reasonable people do too. nobody can help what they like or don't like.
i don't like SAO very much but i don't really care or necessarily think less of people who enjoy it, especially if they are critical of the show's shortcomings themselves.
There are some things I like about Sword Art Online even if I don't think it's very good as well. Most of my entertainment is a little ironic.
Personally, I rather enjoyed the Aincrad Arc, liked parts of the Fairy Dance Arc, and don't care for anything past that.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Not that I'm condoning such behaviour or anything, but people seem to forget that Kirito was just returning Sugou the favour.
I really, really don't have a problem with Oberon getting his just desserts.
BEHOLD! Canon Asunyan!◊
