Whether balloons are realistic. Planes are not. They'd need a scaled down air force to keep them in the air 24/7, with refueling planes and everything. Or use solar drones, which don't stay up forever and do need maintenance.

So wait, is this thing about Pirate Bay trying to buy Sealand true? I find that somewhat sillier than launching servers with balloons. Mostly because I'm sure they'd find that they're subject to English laws rather quickly.

They wanted to. Sealand didn't let them, kept them out of the bidding or something.

so what about my idea about putting the site itself in a torrent that would be automatically downloaded and updated when you would install some custom made pirate bay torrent client? Silly or not?

I pictured more like in Star Wars, but they're probably not the droids I'm looking for.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

Who said anything about planes? The quote in the OP says float. Most planes don't do that, balloons do though. And though "drone" might make you think of a bomber drone, drone means "unmanned viechle" which unmanned balloons are.

Laws are made to be broken. You're next, thermodynamics.

We were talking about plane type drones a bit.

[up][up] Not to mention unmanned balloons can fly so high that it becomes difficult for the airspace laws to apply. It is probably what they meant by "drones".
