Those are examples of both, then. Tropes can overlap, so long as they aren't identical.
What's precedent ever done for us?I think the judgment "attracts creepiness" is more about whether you think the topic is creepy in general, no? Assuming nobody's treating scenes with children as fanservice, which is not a common trope in media and IS creepy.
A brighter future for a darker age."This trope is sexualized in media"
Some media examples treats it as sexualized.
Other media examples aren't so clearly sexual.
There needs to be some sort of distinction made.
Either way, the name is horrible because it has nothing at all to do with "The Cutie".

I concur. The title should be something like Transgressive Spanking or whatever.
Not making any comment about what material to include or not include in article descriptions. Just think the division between comedic and not is more clear (though not perfectly clear!). And there are two tropes already, no splitting needed. If all the fanservicey examples are comedic, that makes even better sense.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Absolutely perfect as is. When did TV Tropes get invaded by prudes?
'Absolutely perfect'? Including, and I quote, 'The act also becomes or followed by a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming'?
Seriously, dude?
What's precedent ever done for us?Should be renamed. Seems to be a snowclone of [verb] the Cutie titles.
somethingMost of the comments in this thread are saying we don't have enough tropes about spanking - I don't know where you're getting "prudes" from.

Yes, seriously. Of course, given the shitstorm that's been happening lately, I expect it to be cut or heavily edited. And for much the same reasons... "Ew, this is creepy! I don't like it, get rid of it, it offends my narrow sensitivities!"
Split and rename. Current name is just a bad snowclone.
^^ The reason is lost ad revenue, not offending narrow sensitivity.
^ If "split" means "keep comedic examples here (including comedic and sexualized), move serious examples to Corporal Punishment", and not "create a new article", agree.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. So, do we agree to split, and do we agree what to split it to?
The way I see it, it can be divided into three tropes at most.
- Fanservice
- Comedy
- Punishment (Edit: Which already exists as Corporal Punishment.)

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. That is BS as the only way it could result in lost ad revenue is from thinskinned whiners who need to get over themselves. And of course Google will happily give you all the porn you can stand, as long as you don't discuss its tropes and conventions.
While it shouldn't be split at all, that is the less drastic option.
But it still should be renamed since snowclones make everything confusing.
Yes; whatever we do with this, the name needs to go.
Absolutely not, quite the opposite, by creating a mental association with an established trope it makes it that much clearer. Complaining about "snowclones" is just vapid nonsense that caught on.
How does the name make things clearer?
The name suggests a trope about spanking cute people. We have no such trope.
Everythings Worse With Snowclones.
As for the issue at hand, does anyone have any suggestions for new titles?
First, we need to decide what the trope is. Comedic spankings? Erotic spankings? Uhh... heartwarming spankings? We already have Corporal Punishment...
What's precedent ever done for us?... Then we should split the trope into the Fanservice and Played for Laughs variants. If an example is intended as neither, but as actual punishment, then like you said, that should go to Corporal Punishment.
Also, I have no idea how this would be played for a Heartwarming Moment.

I'm sure it's possible. Just let me know if you ever figure out how, though. It was one of those things I wanted to strike, anyway.
Looking at the examples, it's a mix of fanservice and funny, but not always clear which is which, or both.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Try asking psycher. He seems quite insistent about it. Of course, your sensibilities may simply be too narrow.
What's precedent ever done for us?The heartwarming versions I've seen tend to involve some serious Values Dissonance; the put-upon husband reasserts his masculine dominance by spanking the wayward wife, thereby causing her to realize her place, restoring the natural order and leading to happy domestic contentment.
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered.

What about sexualized comedic spankings?
