This thread deals with all issues concerning the icons used for namespaces and their buttons, including proposals for icons for new namespaces and bugs with existing icons.
When submitting an icon, the icon images should be exactly 16x16 png with a transparent background. A gif can also be used, but png is usually better. Also, the naming convention is important. It should be the namespace in lowercase.
I am compiling a list of namespaces that need icons, and icons for those name spaces. This would be preferred to be done quickly because I've convinced Eddie to hook them up when I get them complied. I will be editing the OP as we go.
NOTE: Use the link to the sandbox in the thread title to see what still needs to be decided on.
Subpages that still need icons:
- Animation/
- FanWorks/
- Manhua/
- Sandbox/
- Timeline/
Subpages that already have icons hooked up (please note, this list has been collapsed into a note, so that the floating header post isn't huge)
Links to installation-ready icons here and forward.
pages that have icons

We need to actually **make** the icons? We can't just use an emoji.
I think the only thing that's ready is to move the current icon in News/ (see News.Wiki Sandbox) to Newsletter/

I'd like to apologize for all this.Well, that's interesting.
Though, I did hear again, that we have a troper who can draw icons here. So that's nice.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectAnd where they are then?
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanupmoefoxes mentioned here that they're "still willing to draw icons for namespaces that need them!"
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectWhat happened to the icon for Advertising/? For me, it appears for a split second before disappearing. Is this an issue on my end?
back lolWorks for me fine, and I have an ad-blocker on.
I'd like to apologize for all this.I know other people brought it up as a glitch before. I do think certain adblockers may hide it.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSame, it also works for me.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIs the suggestion Useful Notes/ in the sandbox good enough?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation project
That's good.

- Art/ 🎨 (just needs a redraw)
- Derivative Works/ (just needs a redraw and then it can be implemented)
- ImageLinks/ (just needs implementation)
- Timeline/ (just needs implementation
- Useful Notes/ (just needs implementation)
- WesternAnimation/ Felix but transparent◊ (just needs implementation)
I'm not sure if we ask kory or someone else idk

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectProbably.
Actually, would like ~kory to clarify this post, which size icon suggestions should be after all?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAlright, we might have to hold on implementing that Manhua icon because we're discussing if we need the Manhua/ and Manhwa/ namespaces at all here
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectA lot of tropers like the Ear Horn suggestion for Referenced by.../
But does it look fine when I resize it to 16px?
Check the Namespace Icons sandbox for that
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIt looks fine to me, at least on desktop.
It's a bit wider than it is tall, maybe try tilting it?
I'd like to apologize for all this.Alright, I've titled the ear trumpet
Is this good?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectNow that I've seen it at icon size, yes.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Seems people like this so I've shrunk it to 16px
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectGiven how Visual Novels are mostly about clicking
Could this work for Visual Novel/?
👆
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectThey're not? Most visual novels I know don't require a mouse. Point-and-Click Game would be.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupOut of all of the VisualNovel/ suggestions so far, I still like this best:
back lol
I'm coming around to that, but could a slightly brighter border be put around the stuff above the blue box? As is, the background of that part is very difficult to make out in night vision.
I like the art simbol, but the visual novel looks unclear to me
