This thread deals with all issues concerning the icons used for namespaces and their buttons, including proposals for icons for new namespaces and bugs with existing icons.
When submitting an icon, the icon images should be exactly 16x16 png with a transparent background. A gif can also be used, but png is usually better. Also, the naming convention is important. It should be the namespace in lowercase.
I am compiling a list of namespaces that need icons, and icons for those name spaces. This would be preferred to be done quickly because I've convinced Eddie to hook them up when I get them complied. I will be editing the OP as we go.
NOTE: Use the link to the sandbox in the thread title to see what still needs to be decided on.
Subpages that still need icons:
- Animation/
- FanWorks/
- Manhua/
- Sandbox/
- Timeline/
Subpages that already have icons hooked up (please note, this list has been collapsed into a note, so that the floating header post isn't huge)
Links to installation-ready icons here and forward.
pages that have icons

For "ARG/", I think we should use a controller icon with one of those little pencils.
EDIT: Oh, and should I un-bold "Toys/". I think we have a consensus there.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.Shall we crowner TropeCo/ in 538?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI guess we should.
Pinball cleanup threadI just reformatted the sandbox page so that the icons are shown on the page, rather than being embedded. This makes them much easier to see.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Unfortunately, this means all of the namespaces are now in bold. Kind of hard to differentiate like we had been. (Unless italics work...?)
Moon◊Oh, that was my mistake. I'll fix that right now.
Okay, it's all fixed. Plus, I uploaded the suggestions that weren't on the site so they can be displayed.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Much better. I approve of this change.
Moon◊I went ahead and uploaded some more suggestions.
(By the way, Pinball/ now has 91 pages.)

Pinball cleanup threadGoing through the still pending request in Sandbox.Namespace Icons:
- I like the flaming note◊ for AwesomeMusic/ in part because it's more than just a note that could also be confused with Music/.
- As for Blog/, I approve of the favicon. I do not approve of the computer screen as that is more general, and should thus go to WebOriginal/.
- For FanFic/, I like the favicon.
- JustForFun/ can get the laughing icon.
The only one of those I take issue with is the AwesomeMusic/ one. It just looks terrible.
Pinball cleanup threadI prefer that one.
Much better.
Pinball cleanup threadI'm good with that for AwsomeMusic/. I'll add that to the list, but I won't mark it as decided, yet.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Anyone else for the proposed AwesomeMusic/ icon?
Pinball cleanup threadSure, that works.
The most recent one? Yeah, that works.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI showed AwsomeMusic/ as decided upon.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I'm a little unclear on what Symbol Swearing has to do with Let's Play. I mean, I guess maybe they swear in the videos? But that's not really an iconic trait as far as I can tell.
Rhymes with "Protracted."It's the logo of the Let's Play Archive. If it were meant to be Symbol Swearing, it would probably look less like a NES controller.

LP is fine. For pinball, I support the second one since it's less pixelated.
Anyone else for the second pinball? I am.
Pinball cleanup threadPinball #2 is OK for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDo you think I can put pinball #2 as the official picture? Nobody has said anything in favor of #1.
While we're here, I'd like to state my opinions on all of the namespaces without an image chosen. (WARNING: Wall of Text!)
ARG: Hmm... that's a tough one. Maybe a rendition of the logo for ARG.net?
Blog: Fine with the LiveJournal favicon, since it conveys "Writing". The computer isn't really fit for any namespace, in my opinion anyway.
Creator: Fine with reusing the quill/inkpot from SoYouWantTo/ for the reasons stated on the main page.
FanFic: I keep waffling on this one. Right now, I'm leaning towards the favicon.
Franchise: I'd suggest a globe, since it conveys "worldwide" or "this is a big thing".
JustForFun: I like the :P smiley. The laughing one looks kind of weird.
Magazine: The proposed image is OK, but it'd be even better if someone made a more graphically appealing version.
Manwha: I eventually came up with the idea to use a blue "a" in Korean to go with the red Hiragana "a" for Manga/.
Manhua: Like the above, I think a green "a" in Chinese would work. (Maybe Simplified Chinese?)
Podcast: Going with the standalone headphones here - the others aren't too good.
SelfDemonstrating: Ooh, this is a tricky one. Maybe a lampshade or re-using the TV Tropes favicon?
TropeCo: Briefcase 3 is the best to me. (I'm OK with 4, too, but 3 is much better.)
WebOriginal: I'd use a cursor.
Website: I like the WWW pyramid. The globe is a bit too broad for the subject (hence why I put it under Franchise/ instead).
Wiki: I prefer the Wikipedia globe - it conveys "wiki" a bit better than just the W.
Also, if ReferencedBy/ is an "official" namespace, should it have an icon? If it does, I'd suggest the megaphone for ShoutOut/, only reversed.

Pinball cleanup thread
I'd say stick with what we have and don't add any more unless they're obviously "greater" namespaces that we somehow missed.
