I only have a Greatest Hits Album. The tracks that everyone knows are of course good pop songs, but I also came away liking a bunch of the tracks that were apparently singles but don't get the oldies station play of "Daydream Believer" or "Last Train To Clarksville" - "Porpoise Song" was a pretty good stab at psychedelia for instance.
I've also seen them live at a free outdoor event maybe five, six years ago - although of course it was really just Davy Jones, Peter Tork, and a backing band. It was a pretty fun show. A few of my friends had grown up on their music - I remember they were there with handmade signs (one was for Davy, one was for Peter, and I think one was an obscure song request)

I also only have listened to a greatest hits album of theirs, but I still think their music's brilliant and highly underrated. Never watched the show, but I always have meant to. I also intended to go to a concert that they were playing a a local theater (their recent reunion concert—or maybe I'm thinking of the one that hasn't happened yet...), but I was too busy with school (it was on a Thursday).
It's a real shame this happened. Davy Jones was a great guy.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I used to like them, when I was a lot younger. I've still got a couple of their songs on my computer, but it's their most popular ones. I actually preferred Mickey's vocals to Davy's, but Davy was cool.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. So, OP, I got you a little somthing, since you're in a very Brady mood:
Thanks, my mom was totally watching that the other day.

RIP Davy Jones. I almost kinda wanna watch The Brady Bunch, even though that show is pretty terrible, with him on there. I do have the episode of Boy Meets World he was on on DVD.
Anyway, did anyone else ever listen to The Monkee's? I don't know too much of their music, but I like the song Daydream Believer.
