Wow. I've never been a PC gamer much, but I've heard good things about Baldur's Gate, and I can definitely understand how a revival after this long is so exciting.
I strongly dislike Dragon Age, so I'm not confident in their ability to make a faithful sequel after all these years. But we'll see.
I liked Dragon Age so, bring it on!!
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/And yet, all I can think is "I hope they keep Imoen out".
But I don't think that this will happen. Bioware abandoned licensed games and DA is pretty much a spiritual sequel anyway. So, why should they do that now?
Hell, I'd be more excited about an announcement of a Shattered Steel sequel (despite having only really played a demo and barely played the full version).
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I thought Bio Ware still owned the BG license. Well, that changes things then. Although talk of requiring an "iMac" is very discouraging.

No, Baldur's Gate, like all D&D properties, belong to Wizards of the Coast.
Jonah FalconPlease god no. The BG saga is the one of the best games series for the fact it has a great ending and nowhere to go.
Besides no other dev could do it justice.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong. Not getting my hopes up. I hate slow, clunky, covered-in-blood-means-mature Dragon Age. Besides, this will probably the resurrection of the awful action RPG BG.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984i just go ahead and say it will be online game.
or FB game
Huh. Interesting. I really liked the setting, so I wouldn't mind going back to the Sword Coast for a new and different adventure.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I'm sure there are enough people who do that more or less often, even without a computer.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.hmm...well we ARE lacking a 4th ed based computer rpg...
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider! And I dont mind another game with the Dragon Age UI, also, Baldur Gate is a city in the Forgotten Realms, it doesnt need to be another game of the Bhaalspawn, just make one with the Amn Conflict and Im happy

Anyone else find this in the source?

You're not alone
You can find this line at the bottom of the source page: <!— As the silver moon waxes and wanes, so too does life. —>

Now with Guild Wars gameplay.
Well all I hope is that they simply put a remake which features the option to bring about some characters suddenly went missing since BG 1 (Kivan, Yeslick, Shar-Teel, Kagain, Eldoth, Skie, Alora, Xan, etc...) except those who died for plot reasons (Dynaheir and Khalid). As well as options to save those who were supposed to be killed midway of the game with no way to save (Ajantis, Tiax, Montaron, Xzar, etc...).
I really would vouch for a BG 1 remake though, if only to give more life to the BG 1 characters that didn't enjoy such massive characterizations like most of the characters in 2.
@Talby, Kain: I smell an ARG.
Nah, I want a new saga, why remake?
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/Because there are some unfleshed new characters in 1 that could use some characterization that makes them lovable rather than throwaway characters?
So, lets make a remake just for the characters???
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2 were fantastic.
- So was Icewind Dale.
SOMETHING is going on with the official, previously comatose, site.
