But what if the enemy does end up killed while doing the map attack even if they are at full health?

If they're weak enough to die 4 at a time to your Multi Attack, then you can probably tank 2 hits from them with no problem.

Also - before each character's move, Quicksave. That way you can do a soft reset (L+R+Start) if the enemies die in a single Multi or if one of your units get KO'd.

Truth be told, I only used multi-attacks like crazy in that stage where you have to get past Riemsanne, 2 Astaroths, and Jedah to reach Aura.

Well, I didn't know about that one, but now I'll be ready for it.

And thanks again for the advice. I'll be ready. I was thinking that I needed to be more frugal with my XP points anyway.

And I got some advice for you on that level as well: only one group needs to take down a boss to ensure the needed unit reaches Aura. The rest of your forces can rack up XP for the rescue squad to prevail. After that, time to party. And by party, I mean defeat all the remaining baddies.

Mwa ha ha. I'll remember that.

I never had to do a Quicksave for that, mainly because I was always able to Rescue whatever units got KO'd. XD

I try never to have to rescue a unit if possible. Waste of XP and possibly healing items. I prefer to use my XP to attack enemies from beyond their range, negate their counterattacks, or lay on some extra damage.

I find myself trying very hard to have my lagging units level up to catch up to the others, hence I have loads of XP handy for rescuing with all the others.

So that just leaves Saya and Juri to join the party, and then that's everyone.

Man, I barely made it with this one. I was just one turn away from losing. And I didn't get to open all the boxes to see if they had anything either. It sucked.

But there's no way I'm doing that one again. Way too hard.

I'm with you there. I remember my first run through that stage, I was going for the gold mimics when Saya and her crew dropped in to say hi. Lost almost half my teams when she did that.

Oh and a very important tip when you're desperate for XP - when countering, spam the best XP gain move for all your counter attacks especially if your counters only cost 10 XP. Here's a quick checklist:

• 20 XP to counter: Only if you have enough attacks with your best gainer to break even. Otherwise, do nothing (if under 100 XP) or defend.
• 10 XP to counter: Yes. Always.
• +1 attack during counter: if you can break even with your moves, go ahead. Otherwise, take the hit or defend.

Also, note that you can summon your Solo during a counter, and that the "double XP gains during cross hits" rule still applies. For example,

Haken's Right+A : Damage B, XP gain 7%. Spam it 3x when countering and you just dealt free damage. With a Solo, you actually have a significant XP gain. A Solo Attack can usually last for 3 attacks from your pair, if you have a 4th counterattack available, use the most damaging move, or if you're capable of it, the move that's easiest to score a critical hit on. In Haken's case, I find his Left+A and his Down+A easiest to land a critical.

I see. I've mostly just used the first attack in the list when I counter attack. I usually run through every attack one by one until the end.

Also, some characters have gained a fifth attack now (I think Haken and Kaguya and Zephyr and Leanne), so I definitely feel I can start wrapping up points.

I was lucky during this last stage, because I kept two people near the statue, so while moving some guys toward the entrance, so when Saya popped up, I had some guys I could send to fight her and her goons, while sending others ahead to clear the path.

Still barely made it however.

Alright. Just did the latest level. Now I know the name of the Bad Guy: Leden....That is his name right? I'd hate for it to turn out otherwise.

Anyway, I followed the advice about not spamming the Map attacks at every opportunity....

I managed to build up a lot more items too. Hopefully I can keep working like that.

Alsol got to slap around Juri, Saya, Selvaria, and Due.....especially that last one. I want to wipe that smug smile off her face    OUT OF FUCKING EXISTENCE!!!!!!   

Now we are splitting up in the endless frontier, and to find Aura's last piece. Some characters have five attacks now (Hight fives Zephyr and Leanne), and we are just getting stronger.

Glad to see things are looking up for you. Yes, Zephyr and Leanne get their 5th attack first in all my playthroughs, followed my Chun-Li/Morrigan and Haken/Kaguya.

Currently playing with a divided crew again after getting rid of a couple of recurring villains. Just picked up my 3rd Faerie Ring after kicking Jedah's posterior again.

Alright. Juri joined us, so I now have a solo unit for every main unit.

Also did the Geo fort chapter. Fininsh off Vile's rider armour with a special from X and Zero. Tried to do the same to Vile, but he was pretty low on health, and I botched the timing.

Tried to do the same with the Phantom, with Haken and Kaguya.... and botched the timing in a different way: I missed some hits, so it didn't die when I did the Special finish.

Fuck the universe. That being said, I have Haken and Kaguya's map attack now, and I have more items than usual due to some many enemies being around.

Hopefully, I can get even more.

The good news is that all those items I gathered in the last level are coming in handy. I don't have large numbers on them on an individual basis, but I have a lot of them, so I'm not totally boned.

The problem is that I'm afraid of send Kite and Black Rose too far ahead out of fear that they'll get trapped among enemies and get stomped, and there are so many that it takes forever for to get to my turn, which means that I have to wait for others to catch up and clear the way and take some of the heat off them.

More to the point, I keep botching my timing so that enemies I should kill off in one turn manage to survive, which means I have to deal with them again on the next turn. Either that, or even when I hit them with Multi-Map attacks, they still survive.

I have six turns to save the virtual little Girl. Am I a bad enough dude to rescue Aura?

And not only that, Thanks to Leanne and Zephyr, I got a 162 hit combo special finish.

Phew. Done the chapter with 4 murals, Vajra (that's what they're called right) and Selvaria.

But now I'm back at the mansion. Because she ate the Flan, Due goes last. I want to build up to slapping her silly.

There were so many enemies though, that I had to Quicksave and turn it off, but I beat Saya's old friends, and all the enemies on the lawn, so all that's left is to get the remaining Ourous Phlox members.

Finished off the latest chapter. Used up a bit more of my items, but I can easily gain them back, and I still have plenty of everything.

But now the part is split up again.

Also, I keep botching the timing on solo and support attacks. That wouldn't be so bad, but I've pretty much got certain people paired together permanently, and I should know this by now, but somehow

Currently in the middle of the last stage again. Pro-tip for Rob - make sure you have at least 2 equipment that give Cancel / negate enemy counters before you enter stage 40 or 41. These are:

• Sandra Soul
• Terror Mask
• Dancing Eyes

Equip them on Akira & Pai, Ken & Ryu, and Jin & Xiaoyu. Give them your best defensive gear as well.

And lastly - 15 turns is plenty of time.

I do have two of those actually. I don't know if I gave them to Akira and Pai though. I think I might have given them one.

I know I gave it to someone who can break guards, as being able to get past defence and not get hammered for it is plenty useful.

I'll have to do something about defence. I rarely change the equipment my guys have if I think it's useful truthfully (so if they have something that undoes certain status ailments, I let them keep it).

So I fought Lord Raptor and Nemesis again.

Got to finish the latter with Chris and Jill, which is very appropriate.

I also took that earlier advice and gave the Sandra soul to Ken and Ryu.

Also, Now Leanne and Zephyr can cancel counter attacks in addition to cracking guards, getting a Support attack and having the highest combos of anyone.

I fucking love these two. I wish I'd played their game.
