Why Danica Patrick is so hated

Probably because she's not a proper Sega Allstar from a video game. Wreck-it Ralph came from a movie that's about video games that has Sonic and Eggman in it as cameos, so they sort of get a pass. But Danica Patrick was never in any Sega game AFAIK. I think she's sponsored by Sega during her races, but that's it.

Personally, I'm aware of all that, but I find her fun to play anyway. In fact, she's the second character I started playing in this game after Sonic.

I agree. I mean, I kinda understand why they did it (Shogun is PC only, and Football Manager is mostly PC), but it just kinda feels wrong since they are Sega characters.

But let's be real, they're not exactly on anyone's list of want-ins as far as more characters go.

And Danica patrick also sticks out like a sore thumb. I didn't unlock her and haven't regretted it yet.

Hilariously, on those vids where people hacked the Xbox version to play as AGES and Team Fortress, they always choose Danica to be the one to be replaced with them.

So, regardless of how they would play like, would you want the All-Star move for a hypothetical third ASR to stay as a Super Mode for Planes, or go back to being a full on character-specific Limit Break?

I would go with the Limit Breaks, with the condition that they try and visually justify the grounded moves (for instance, the GGs using spray paint to give Beat a road to skate on during Boat/Plane sections.)

Speaking of Beat, this game led to me getting Jet Set Radio HD, and I very-much-so do not regret it.

Level 1: Super Mode

Level 2: Assist Character

Level 3: Limit Break

I liked the first game's all stars more, though they kind of need to be balanced better. None of this auto-pilot at full speed crap.

Yeah I still get the urge to play JSRHD whenever I play this game sometimes. I'm so happy Sega finally released it.

I would also prefer it if they went back to being character specific-limit breaks.

The weird thing is that some of them could have still worked in Transformed, like Super Sonic, or Ulala and Amigo's All-Stars.

Ni GH Ts' All Star in Transformed is basically Super Sonic anyways. Joe's is a better version of Ulala's, and iirc Amigo's was kind of broken if the user knew what they were doing (though unlike the other broken ones, it ensured the rest of the racers would be closer together).

Opa Opa's would have still worked... Heck, Opa Opa himself would have worked in this game. He'd probably be the only character who would be suited to land, air and sea without transforming.

Yeah, I remember thinking it was odd that he wasn't in this game. After all, he's already a transforming vehicle.

Opa-Opa was such a cool pick in the first one, I miss him, Jacky and Ryo. But I just want more cheesy lines from Jacky and Vyse made up for Ryo's absence, somewhat.

Yeah, out of all the characters who didn't return, I miss him the most.

I also find it odd that Ryo didn't make it in, considering he was the biggest ATFR moment for the first game.

Finally got this game today; I'm already into the second World Tour event hub. There's such a massive difference between C and B rank event AI - I all but dominate when I do C rank, but when I do B rank all of the enemy racers suddenly become incredibly aggressive.

I've seen some footage of the 3DS version and...I dunno, it doesn't look too hot. In terms of frame rate and stuff.

So I've actually mamanged to beat almost the entire game (unlocked everyone, every track and every console mod) and boy, hoo boy, was that an exhausting task. The CPU cheats like no tomorrow, the difficulty never eases up... I felt relieved that I would never have to face the insanity that is the S class AI in this game ever again. It was so bad I needed the 2-player trick TV Tropes mention in the SART section of its Sega Superstars page.

But insane challenge level aside, it's a well-made game with some great tracks and easy to learn, but hard to master mechanics that are also quite satisfying when mastered. Anyway, does anybody play this game online on PS 3?

I'll PM my PSN ID to you. As for characters, I'm currently working on maxing out everyone, but my most-often used at the moment are Sonic, Robotnik, Joe Musashi (all three are at max), Metal Sonic, Vyse and Ralph.

Everytime I play online(which is rarely), the first characters I see picked are Vyse, Shadow, Sonic, and Metal. Vyse is crazy popular.
