Yeah, the third one is the clearest. Better than the current.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Honestly, I have no idea what's going on in those.
Higher quality versions of pics with the same bosses that are already pictured, but in Super Smash Bros Brawl instead of Super Smash Bros Melee:
Same boss, but in Kirby And The Amazing Mirror instead of Super Smash Bros:

- 3 doesn't work, no clear indication that it's supposed to be two bosses at once. #2 looks decent, but would be better if it included their HP meters.
Of those the first hands picture is more clear that they're separate entities.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Streets Of Rage has several examples, especially in the last stage. This fight or this one or this one come to mind. (This does too, but I'm not sure if it counts.)
A less obscure source would be The Legend Of Zelda, which gives us this.
EDITED IN: Not sure which specific screenshots from the Streets Of Rage examples to go with, but I've picked one from the Legend Of Zelda example:

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartWhat if we got a Dual Boss Boss Subtitles? Like that Ocarina Of Time temple boss in the desert.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Forgot all about that one until you mentioned it. I went looking for a video of it, and one problem I ran into is that while the text is on-screen, they're holding their hands together as if they were one creature. However, the following angular position might give a reasonably low extent of that impression...

Those Ocarina Of Time screenshots are also very dark, so it's hard to see what's on them.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Variation on Ultimatim's suggestion:
(350)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
If the problem's that it's unclear that they're separate entities on the three I posted, perhaps this would work better:
Could just go for something really really simple◊

Those are not bosses in that game, a SMB 3 or a Mario And Luigi pic would count as an example. (The former would be a Mini-Boss though.)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!A mini-boss is still a type of boss, so if there's a good pic of them it works.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Crowner?
I dont like any of them really none say "Boss" on it really. (and the one that does is too dark.)

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartI kind of like the Hammer Bros. They are a mini-boss, it counts.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.^^ Still a bit too dark, though.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Maybe we just need a better picture of them.
Which game had the best-looking Hammer Bros?

Again, that's a matter of quality. Brightness can be adjusted. The point is first and foremost to decide on how it is to be pictured.
