I have experience GMing, but due to constraints with school, I can't say I'd always have the time to keep watch if I were to help you GM this.
But what I've found is that if you truly care about something and want to watch it grow, you won't just walk away from it in a few months. In fact, most RPs with a predefined plot last just about that long. You could also make it open-ended enough so it can go on in your absence. It's pretty much a matter of instilling the discipline that it kind of takes to orchestrate an RP.
Also, trying to stick with an RP is sort of a slightly different ballgame than sticking with writing a plotbunny is, mainly due to the unique challenges that RPs face. The folks in the main RP forum or RP discussion might be able to provide more specific knowledge than we can.
I can honestly say that I'm quite interested in this idea, school or not.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Thank you for the advice (and interest), and I'm definitely leaning more towards openendedness now.
I was afraid to post in RP discussion because that was mostly for R Ps that have already started...
Contact Me!You can also take a look at other successful RPs and observe the goodlies that occur.
That too. I'm in a rather popular RP, and I've been looking at what it does right (and wrong.)
Contact Me!Sorry for the double post, but I think I'll start a signup now with Crystal Glacia's advice in mind...

OK, I got a really cool (in my eyes) idea for an RP, but I have some issues that will hinder me in running it.
Basically, the setting is PMD, but with a European Fantasy flavor. Dungeons can be actual dungeons, glitches take the place of demons, and swordplay and such mix with Hyper Beams and Dragon Claws.
However, there is one issue big issue, not with the idea but with myself.
My attention span isn't the best, and while I can get fixated on things for a few months I tend to wander away to somethign else after a while. Most would say "well, you aren't suited to G Ming, then." Normally I would listen. But I REALLY like this idea.
So, as I see it, I have two options. It could be more loose organizationally, with no real GM, like some other R Ps on here. Or, I could ask someone else to help GM.
Questions, comments, and concerns are all appreciated.
