Well...
I hope it's going to be at least a bit decent. I'm kinda skeptical about the Dungeons & Dragons guy helping with the project though...
A heaping helping of stupid. They better do this right. What a day of surprises.
Okay, why do they insist on doing live action knowing how difficult it would be to make things convincing and the amount of money that they know they aren't going to spend to make it good?
CN already released a live-action Ben 10 film. Why do they need another one?
Money, dear boy. Why else?
Ben10 is clearly the Spongebob of Cartoon Network.
This is not fair. Or nice. Ben 10: Omniverse is already looking to screw up any good childhood memories of Ben10 Classic, why do they insist on throwing the Ben 10 version of The Last Airbender at us?

RISEI don't know, why do people always stupidly insist on trashing movie adaptations before they have even seen a trailer? I'm sure the two must relate is some way, yes?
While concern is understandable, judging something on the bare (And I mean BARE - It's so early in production they don't even seem to have actors yet) basics that a website gives you is ultimately pointless, as you have nothing to judge to begin with except the directors and producers, which (as the article pointed out) have had both hits and misses.
Edit: Basically I'm not making an opinion until after a trailer or more details come out. Just hope it'll be better than Omniverse.

Oh, geez. I wrote that two years ago, did I?
I can't say I'm really invested anymore. Sure, I'll go see it if the trailers don't look too bad, if only out of nostalgia, but a Ben 10 movie is firmly "meh" right now.
Oddly enough, I like Omniverse now. Go figure.

RISEWhen I watch Omniverse I'm only watching for Rook.
It's been two years since the announcement, and we don't even have news on any developments ever since. I think we can pretty much write this one off anyway.
I agree with chloelee here: it's best to wait at least for the trailer before making a judgement. Also, to answer those amongst you who question why they try another one after Race Against Time and Alien Swarm: those were direct-to-tv movies with fairly low budgets. This is going to be a theatrical movie with a much bigger budget, meaning we do have a change of seeing good special effects and the aliens looking realistic this time. It will depend on how much effort they put in it (I admit knowing the guy who did the Dungeon&Dragon movies will be part of it doesn't really reassure me). But there is a chance we might get something decent this time.
Just curious, who would you like to see as the villain?
Vilgax of course.
Same here. He would make sense, being connected to Ben's origin. Plus his fighting style would fit for a movie.
Not sure if want...
Then again, we've already had 2 live action TV movies of the show so it lessens the shock a little..
