Fuck. Yes.
......yes.
And so the wait begins.
— goes to lurk on the interwebs —
Shocking development! More at 11!
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThis may have to do with Ace Attorney's 10th anniversary. Along with VS Layton and 123HD.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.(Has hopes that it will come on PC's as well)
grahSince when do Japanese console games get released on PC? O_o
(Still has his hopes regardless)
What? A man can dream, right?
grahWeren't the cases from the first three games rereleased episodically for PC a few years ago?
...I'll just copy paste my thoughts from my post in another forum.
"Hmm, looking at the logo, it's just called AA 5 instead of the usual title format of "Protagonist name: Ace Attorney" ?
If so I'm really curious as to who the protagonist will be. Will it go back to PW? Or continue with AJ? Or maybe they'll both be playable? "
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiIt's just called "Gyakuten Saiban 5", although it's probably just a working name for now. The Japanese names are just "Gyakuten Saiban #: Subtitle" rather than the "Protagonist: Ace Attorney: Subtitle" that the English-language series uses.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Yeaaaaaaah, it created problems for localization team when people had thought Phoenix Wright is name of series and since protagonist changed
That said, somebody has noted that the sparkle is on the left side of the logo, which is how it was done for the Phoenix Wright games, as opposed to the right side for the Apollo Justice games. Also noted was that the 5 was red, which is Apollo Justice's colour. That said, the logo is just a mockup at the moment, and this may not really mean anything.
Thanks for the clarification. Still I'm wondering whether they'll continue using Apollo or not.
EDIT: Good point, I did not realize that.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiI'm wondering a bit about who's making the game. If the game is going to be on the 3DS(which is likely considering Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney), that would likely mean they'll need to make the game with polygonal 3D. It may just be that Level 5's going to be working on the game again, if that is true, since they've already started with the aforementioned game.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Supposing Capcom sticks to their old formula*, wouldn't it be possible for the game to receive a simple download release on the D Si/3DS? It seems like a muchmore convenient choice.
*Crosses fingers.*
Please let this be localized...
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!It will probably depend on the sales of Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.
Which will fail to be released overseas due to poor international sales of AAI 2.
I have a message from another time...I have heard that the international release of AAI2 is still on the table. I don't have the greatest faith in that, but if it's true, I can see a download release on D Si Ware being possible.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I think that PLvAA is under Level 5's discretion, not Capcom's. They're developing and co-publishing. And it won their poll for which of their games North American fans want localized by a landslide.
Go to court-records.net, like now.
All we have is a new logo. It has a big 5 on it. And it's red. But at least we know the project isn't dead-in-the-water. There's now a team working on it, not sure how involved Shu Takumi is at this point. Plant your epileptic trees everybody.
