Interesting.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelSounds like fun.
I would have been glad enough just hearing that Fortnite hadn't disappeared, but it's also cool that it will be the first game to use UE 4.
Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark All the dinosaurs are running wildEurogamer says Minecraft meets Day Z, but it looks more like Minecraft meets Plants Vs Zombies.
Jonah FalconA small preview. Not much to say aside from an assurance the basebuilding is intuitive.

Gametrailers' discuss their hands-on experience with it
Gist of it is they are excite, wanted to see more than the three hours they got, and got a good feeling of the game being very deep.
There aren't enough really good co-op shooters, (Firefight, where art thou?)
The what?
Sorry for the years long necro, but Epic says it'll finally be out this year.
As I have still been playing the closed alpha...hell yeah!
Early access release date slated for July 25th, minimum $40. Pre-orders get to start on July 21st.

Early access...a shame. I presume the development cycle of this game, given its scale, would remain in early access for at least a year before progressing to gold (finished).
Forty bucks for what is basically an open beta seems like a choice that's difficult to defend.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need! That link's broken.
I honestly do not remember what the trailer I linked was. I'm guessing I fixed it.
So this is coming out in a few days. Official release next Tuesday, but pre-orders get to play on Friday. Anyone pre-order? I also heard someone mention Early Access, but I didn't see anything about that on the official site, and it's not on Steam.
You must have missed something, because I'm definitely seeing both of those things on the official website. There's a section saying to pre-order to start 4 days early, and here's the pre-order page which again states starting 4 days earlier at the bottom.
No, I don't mean early access as in "play four days early," I mean Early Access as in "pay to play a beta version a year before the game is 100% out." It's mostly a Steam thing.
Ah, ok. The website definitely does not elucidate what you're looking for there.
But yes, various other places say that the game's early access release on the 21st/25th is, like (well, some) others, paid closed beta testing up until full release sometime in 2018.
So, is anyone pre-ordering? The "four days early" starts tomorrow, and I'm considering it.
It was supposed to come out on Tuesday officially, but when you fire it up, it still says "Early Access" and that the purchase was allowing you into the "Founders' Program". Who, apparently, get to play a month early.
Also, whoever was saying that base building was intuitive is a lying bastard. First, the tutorial is so fucking obtuse that completing it gives you next to no knowledge. Second, once you place anything, particularly a trap, by mistake, you can't move it or take it apart. The best you can do is editing the walls, floors and stairs, but that doesn't always help. Worse yet, the tutorial doesn't tell you that there are only a couple of pre-approved wall designs and how they work, nor how do you build stairs in a particular way.
Interface is pretty bad too, particularly in those moments where you need an extra click to check whether the blueprint you're intending to put in your scrapbook is really the one with the shitty level bonuses.
Language versions are screwed, some of the voiceovers in the Polish dub have been left in English, and switching the language to English left a couple of quotes in Polish until I restarted the game.
Luckily, the important thing, that is - the shooting - works. Even if some guns sound like whacking a plank with a hammer.

And it's something you wouldn't expect from them.
