This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Agree, and I support the Captain N/Nostalgia Critic quote.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdThe Series.Batman 1966 has a second quote added not long ago that just consists of...well
Do I have permission to cut this, seems really unnecessary.
Cut away.
TRS is in the process of renaming Eat the Dog to Emergency Food Supply Animal due to rampant misuse. The concern has been raised that the current page quote does not illustrate the trope:
Reverend: Eat the dogs?!
Benjamin: Aye, dog is a fine meal.
Billings: [enthusiastic nod]
Reverend: ...Good heavens.
Propose to replace with this from the Quotes tab:

That's a good one, .
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdDo I have the go-ahead to change the Nuckelavee quote to the following?
Yeah, that's much better. Current is way too long.
Homoerotic Dream was recently renamed to Awkwardly Gay Dream per a TRS thread and the new definition includes sexuality related shock or confusion. Does the page quote still fit?

Does Death Byadaptation work out of context?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."re:Nuckelavee
Yeah, that's much more bite-sized. Just go ahead and move the current to the Quotes tab.
The page quote for Wacky Racing describes the specific situation shown in the page image rather than the trope itself. The caption is rather generic, so maybe the page quote can be repurposed as the caption and something else can be chosen as the page quote.
While I'm at it, here's a better page quote for Billionaire Wristband
Much better.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdAlright! added
x4 I did some checking and it seems the current page quote for Wacky Racing was the caption for the page image until last September when Lapsem changed it. The thing is I can't find any discussion for such a change on this thread or the one for image captions.
x7 (#12260): No, I don't think the Death by Adaptation quote works without knowing the context. Unfortunately, there's no Quotes page for a replacement. Pull anyway?
The quote on Abortion Fallout Drama doesn't seem very clear that it's about abortion.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Just noticed that Suspiciously Stealthy Predator and It Can Think have the same page quote.
One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord.A possible replacement could be the song "The Freshmen" by The Verve Pipe (which is about the same topic):
And she, a punk who rarely ever took advice
Now I'm guilt-stricken, sobbin', with my head on the floor
Stopped a baby's breath and a shoe full of rice
I was looking over Forced to Feel Empathy, and I'm not sure that the current quote is as illustrative as it could be — it's fine, but it could be better. I was thinking that this one from the examples would work better:
Fry: And that'll allow Bender to feel other people's emotions?
Professor: Yes, if by "allow" you mean "force".
Yeah, I think the Futurama quote works better.
I could've sworn it was considered as the quote in TLP but maybe I misremembered.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. The current on Railing Kill is too negative. There's no quote page to get a replacement from, but I don't like having a quote that bashes the trope, particularly a totally neutral trope. Can I pull it?
I think we can remove the "after seeing [their names]" bit in the attribution because that's already implied in the quote and it's clunky.
