I didn't notice one of these Covens for tropers that like to craft!

Anything is fair game, pretty much- needlework (crochet, knitting, embroidery, just plain sewing) to origami to carving wood to metalwork and everything in between! No matter your style, we wanna know about it!

Show off your projects too, if you want!

I do origami primarily. I specialize in multi unit modular origami. Very pretty stuff. Hardest bit is connecting the units.

I also cosplay. Which involves a number of crafty skills like sewing and such. I've also used my sewing to make a zabuton and zafu for a school project.

Yeah, cosplay seems like it's necessary to have a lot of skills, especially if you want to be good at it!

And modular origami is neato, too! You're right, it's very pretty.

Personally I am a BIG fan of crocheting, knitting, and cross-stitch. I also do some very basic origami on a less frequent basis, haha.

I've dabbled in a wide range of crafting, but my passion is origami right now. I've actually set up an Etsy shop making origami jewelry and items to help earn a little extra funds while I job hunt right now. PM if you'd like a link; not sure if I'd get in trouble for trying to sell stuff in the forums. I do regular beaded jewelry as well on occasion.

After that, cross-stitch is probably my favorite, though I don't do it as much as I used to because of my tendonitis. Holding needles hurts after a while. I do have this massive one I've been working on for 10+ years I really need to finish that I just dug up the other day, though. Especially as my sister just finished one she's been working on for 15-odd years. Wow!

Gosh, where do I even start? I was just talking about candlemaking in the Pagan Tropers thread. I also sew, mostly costumes. Once in a while I do a little cross-stitch/needlepoint. And I also do some fairly unusual crafts, like embellishing foamcore satin Christmas ornaments.

You can check out examples on my deviantART page.

I sew occasionally, and I used to go stuff like candle making and a little bit making dolls as a kid. Right now, I'm heavily focused on soldering. Most of the stuff I solder is connections between wires. I spent this past summer re-soldering the wires in the recording studios at my school.

Sockpuppets... Wait. Puppets made out of socks are (yes, that is better) needed for video productions related to the launch of Echo Chamber Season Two. PM me for details.

Note: This is for prime time. Do not PM if you can't take prime time pressure.evil grin

[up] Wow! I almost wish I was better at sewing, haha.

I went to knitting club this week, it was really fun. I crocheted this as a part of my secret santa (we decided to do it after winter break, haha). It's a little owl!

This is also a thing I made a while back. It's Zero! So cute! <3

My current big project is a set of embellished foamcore ornaments with an international theme. I've already finished China and France, but figuring out the right designs to use and then finding the materials is harder than I thought. I need to make a trip downtown to see if I can find some nice ribbon trims with "ethnic" designs. How is it that none of the local craft stores have any Celtic knot ribbon when we're in the run-up to St. Patrick's Day?

So crafting thread necro because why not.

I've recently got into sewing a few...months ago? I guess? For plushies. Friend of mine found a tutorial for making scalemates from Homestuck and thought it would be a fun thing to do when I came over. Lo and behold it was and soon I too had an armless mutant dragon to love and adore. His nose has a lump, he has a weird kink in his neck, and he's pigeon toed but dammit Lumpnose is the best dragon with snout cancer ever.

Lumpnose is the one of the right. The one on the right is a present from Weissritter. His name is Rocky.

Next I made this thing. Again it was made with help of a tutorial. I had to learn the horrors of tube turning and making a tube turner on my own however because the guide didn't say anything about how to turn tubes. My tube turner is now my best friend along with my fabric scissors. Back to the pincushion though...It's hideously useful and genius and I love it dearly.

For it will aid in many things such as this thing. It is my first attempt at creating a plush using a pattern I myself devised. It's this thing from a fic I happen to rather like. He will be glorious and have pipe cleaners for antannae (which are absent in this fan depiction of it) and googly eyes and stuff.

AND HE WILL BE OF MINE OWN DEVISING.

I have to get into the wonders of making clothing however...Because I found modifying a skirt for this costume here rather fun and fulfilling... It's a rather comfy and nice looking skirt dammit. And went with my costume.

I'm currently crocheting a blanket. I take the squares to lectures with me and crochet them in the breaks. I also take them to some meetings, the ones that I don't need to pay 100% of my attention to. My design has 16 squares; I have about six finished.

I made a plushie of a Flood infection form for my brother a long time ago, but it ended up rather deformed.

Be not afraid...

This is it. I actually didn't know there was such a thing as a tube turner... those tiny legs gave me a lot of trouble.

Yes. My family probably remembers that one night I sat at the kitchen table for hours complaining and fiddling with tiny pieces of material. Stuffing them was hard too, because they needed to have a piece of wire down them so it could stand up.

I made a little Cthulhu plush recently (amigurumi, if you know what that is).

It's really cute. Especially the wings.
