Plus it looks like an entire work which is another thing to avoid.
It's Just the little C, with no indication of who is claiming the copyright that's the problem. What that has is a copyright block — the indication that it;s coptright, and by who, and when.
The fact that it is the whole strip is a problem.
But the third frame isn't necessary to illustrate the trope. In fact, it makes the strip an illustration of a subversion of the trope.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I... Think... This went through IP. It's not in its entirety and the (c) is all right because it's not standalone (which is the bad guy), so it doesn't look like we're claiming the work.
Confirmation? (Both on the history and the legal mumbjumb?)
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. It is the entirety◊. (I checked.) Most of the weekday strips were four panels, but this one was a three-panel. We have the whole strip up; the only change is we stacked it vertically rather than using the horizontal layout.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Ow.
We can lose the last panel, I think. That said, I don't understand the comic...
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. He says he should get the last piece of pie because he wants it. His mother says he shouldn't be selfish. He then asks if he should be dishonest, instead (by giving some other reason than "I want it!", which is his honest reason.)
I think using the final panel adds a layer of confusion.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Actually, the final panel shows Calvin getting what he wants by being selfish and admitting he's honest about it, supporting the family unfriendliness here.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Ah, okay. I vote for cropping out the third panel then.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Seconding losing the third panel.
I can get behind that. Third'ed
Motion carried.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Full strip moved to ImageLinks.Family Unfriendly Aesop.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Excellent; locking up.
To quote How To Pick A Good Image:
That little © is in fact located on the last panel, left side. First character.
