Bugger.
Should somebody warn them about the place?

In fairness, it seems less like it's a site completely flooded with garbage and more one of those 'teach the controversey' sites that also has some quality stuff on it.
So you could just see it as an exercise in critical reading.
Or you could not.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.Well looks like I won't be watching Forgotten Weapons anytime soon. They could stop the bs attempts to make a statement and join the same alt site Hicock is going to. It appears to be less crazy by comparison.
Who watches the watchmen?
Honestly, despite some of his rant videos, Hickok really doesn't make a fuss about gun politics at all. He even says that on his site that he loves teaching people of all backgrounds to shoot, and that a good portion of his viewers are liberals.
Just a tip to those who are interested:
Since we are approaching the 50th anniversary of the student protests in 1968, we are likely to see a lot of interesting discussions about the protests and their (alleged) consequences, both in newspapers and among historians.
Particulary the new generation of historians is now questioning a lot of the so-far held believes about the "revolution", and some very promising works are due to be published. I'd recommend at the very least to check regularly the articles on SPIEGEL and Welt Online to get some insight into the two basic different perspectives on those events.
Thank you. I'll be on the look out.
Random scene writing question!
How plausible is it to kill two men in less than a second with a Glock? The victims were slightly muscular adult males who stood 5 meters from the shooter.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Well executed Failure Drill will do it
A movie example.
Two to the chest, one to the head in rapid succession. Target will be dead before they hit the ground. It's also sometimes referred to as the Mozambique Drill.
Oh really when?Wait, you mean your scenario requires you to kill both of them in under one second, total? Not possible, human reflexes aren't that fast.
This Space Intentionally Left Blank.Gotcha.
Man, how did I forget about that awesome scene? I can just use that as a reference. Thanks!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Also yeah if you're being literal with that timeframe it's not gonna happen.
Tom Cruise spent a loooong time practicing to get that scene right and really that's about as fast anyone is gonna be able to manage pulling something like that off.
Oh really when? There is one way. Through and through kill. Close range rifle shot to the head can do it but your talking one shot two kills territory.
Who watches the watchmen?That's cheating
Oh really when? Now I'm reminded of a scene from Breaking Bad season 3 where Mike killed two guys (and a window) with one bullet.
That scene made me think: "Man, that's one powerful pistol."
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Garcon: Your right. You need a .50 BMG and a bunch of guys lined up to eat a SLAP round.
Who watches the watchmen? You'd have better luck with a Luger 9mm, if you can get the other guys to line up for you.
An interesting article about a prototype recoil-dampened shotgun. [1]
The way it seems to work is that the barrel and BCG recoil together and a system of pulleys use that motion to push a counterweight forward.
They should have sent a poet.
Indy's using a P38, actually.

The P38 fired 9mm luger. "9mm luger" refers to a cartridge, not a gun.
While the 9mm Luger cartridge has better penetrating power than the .45 ACP, it won't shoot through four or five live human bodies all lined up in a row. One or two maybe, but that scene was just Hollywood B.S.
This Space Intentionally Left Blank.
Thanks. In that case, can the Luger itself be referred to through 'Luger', 'P08 pistol' and 'Luger P08' ?
edited 27th Apr '18 3:13:36 PM by TheWildWestPyro
You can usually just call it a Luger. The gun itself was originally called a Parabellum pistol, but was typically referred to as a Luger or Luger pistol after its designer. P08 was the German Army designation for the version they adopted in 1908.
They should have sent a poet.Even Weird Al references the pistol as "an old German Luger" in the parody song "The Night Santa Went Crazy".
Who watches the watchmen?Officially, the cartridge is called the "P-08 9mm Parabellum," but that's too long to fit on a brass case headstamp. So it's usually just called the "9mm Luger" or the "9mm Auto."

So apparently Forgotten Weapons is moving off YouTube in the future to a place called The Maven.
I looked them up, and the blogs they currently feature, and while there's some cool stuff there (human rights abuse news that seems to be of pretty high quality,) you also have such gems as 'If Your Kids Know More About Genderfluidity Than Auschwitz, Your Culture's Toast,' and a blog called 'Blue Lives Matter,' which may be the most tasteless name for an ostensibly-serious news outlet I've seen outside of Fox News in quite some time.
What I'm saying is this looks like the hottest of hot garbage.
