According to my friends, i have a killer voice.

But then again, we are completely vitriolic towards each other, so...

My talent is being really, really, ridiculously good-looking.

Meh, I dont have any talents were noting. A former friend who once put me in the friend-zone said I was very caring, moreso than anyone. I dont believe her. She's no longer my friend.

ANYWAYS, uhhh, I can tell you what kind of car one is just by listening to its exhaust note. My girlfriend gets mad when we're trying to sleep and a car passes by, and I'll randomly blurt out "that was a Subaru STI!" Also I can shoot a handgun kind of accurately.

@Odd, okay, if you say so. Prepare for a long story.

I met this girl in junior year of high school and immediately got a crush for her. Me being shy and somewhat socially awkward, I had trouble talking to her. This was around the time when My Space was probably at its peak and I was lucky enough to get a friend request from her, and from there we slowly started talking more. Finally we exchanged phone numbers but I had no idea if that meant anything romantic, since I had about as much experience with relationships as I did with flying space shuttles, possibly less.

One semi-big moment was when she called me because she needed help finding this dance class in the county college I lived near, and she picked me up to help her find it. It took us a half hour to find it and she asked me to stay in the car while she took the class, which kind of sounds like a douche move but at the time I had such a huge crush on her I didn't even care. Of course nothing happened romantically, but it seemed to make our friendship grow. After she dropped me off, she crashed her car and I asked her if she was alright the next day at school, she said yeah and she didn't want to talk about it, yet almost immediately talked about it to the guy she really liked and ended up dating, after I left her but not before I was out of earsight, which I was upset about but never brought up.

We started talking more and it became a bit more obvious how I felt but she never said anything and I never tried to do anything, but she kept going closer to friendzone, but I didn't think anything of it and thought naivély (is that even a word?) that I could still be with her. She would call me up and we'd talk on the phone all the time, sometimes for hours, I was sure that we'd end up together.

Which all came to a head the day after Independence day that summer, when we spent the day together. We went shopping and I went to watch her at her singing lesson, after which she dragged me to her friends house but went in on her own, which I let her know how extremely annoyed I was, and after she got back 45 minutes later I told her that and started walking home. She eventually convinced me otherwise and we ended up arguing in the car, I forgot what about, but I remember her starting to cry. We eventually made up and we went shopping for some clothes for me. I noticed her getting a bit more affectionate toward me which gave me serious butterflies in my stomach. Eventually she brought me home and came into my room and we just lied in my bed, and she started to cuddle me and told me how sweet and caring I was, and then asked me to kiss her. I told her I wasn't good at it but before I could finish she kissed me, we started making out. She climbed on top of me and this went on for a couple minutes. When it was over I was seeing stars. I thought I finally got what I wanted. We made plans to go to the shore in 2 days and we kissed once more before she left, and I went to sleep the happiest guy in the world.

Afterwards she completely ignored every attempt I made to talk to her, and I knew what was going on. I later found out she was back together with her old boyfriend, which didnt even last, but I knew what I was, the shitty rebound kiss. I was completely heartbroken, devastated knowing it was her, the only person I wanted to be with. She didn't even care about me, and I would have taken a bullet for her at the time. I spent most of the summer crying over her like an idiot. I knew exactly where I stood in her life, I was forever in the friendzone.
