And I like Elphelt.

Elphelt is good yeah, but I prefer Ramlethal.

Ram is much sexier and stands out more although her personality is meh.

Ephelt is like, the sort of thing GG doesn't need.

Idk if I like the current story direction so much though. Feels too retread of Blazblue with the Valentinez thing.

Hilariously, it started in Overture, a year before Blazblue debuted; if anything, Mori borrowed Daisuske's idea.

While Overture predates BB, basically, we didn't get in-your-face BB references until Xrd, which came out after Chronophantasma, with Overture's Valentine being Lambda, Elphet being Mu/Noel, with a bit of Celica, and Ram being Nu without the Yandere.

They're both stupid, how about we accept that?

I find Elphelt perfectly acceptable.

Although I think that now that we have Jack-O' (who is our fourth Valentine no less) Team Red can hopefully relax on the pandering characters, since we have enough.

Actually, Ram and El were just enough. Jack-O' is pushing it a little.

But hey, minor problem.

Well, Elphelt is one of those characters that will either be well liked, or have you grinding your teeth in annoyance.

I like her myself, even while seeing that the Waifu angle is laid on far too thick.

Though I'm not much of a fighting gamer, I'd imagine if she's fun to play, many would ignore any thing else they might not like about her.

She's a sweet girl.

And don't get me wrong. I like Elphelt too. More than I thought I would initially in fact. I will admit that the first time she was revealed though, I rolled my eyes.

Yeah, I also did that.

Admittedly, I am reacting a lot better to Jack-O' now.

I'm sure a lot of people did actually.

She looks like the kind of person who can get people rolling their eyes pretty easily.

Its not even just her design, she's pretty dumb to fight. Not Kokonoe levels of dumb, but still enough to make you wanna pull your hair out while shouting profanities.

Elphelt is my favorite newcomer precisely because of the waifu theme (feels like a parody of it imo) so the fact that she's annoyingly good only makes me happier. Oh, that too.

So she sucks to fight, but how is she to play?

Not bad I guess, nothing too complicated.

Nothing's more satisfying than trapping your opponent in a wedding cake and slashing them in half.

So, I once again find myself wondering some things about the world of Guilty Gear once again:

Do they still have movie theatres and stuff? What do they make movies about?

Is there stuff about the Crusades? Do actors sometimes ask to shadow Ky to understand his character?

Man, making a movie about the first tournament must be impossible. Two of the competitors are dead, the rest even wouldn't be interested in providing info, travel through time, or are grumpy bounty hunters.

I'd like to imagine there are.

Not sure if there's Television, but there is radio and apparently, radio serials (Elphelt mentions in her mirror-match win quote that she's listened to every episode of 'Magical Ab-venger: Cutie Goddess').

I've no doubt there are countless serials and/or movies depicting the events of the Crusades, a global hundred year war like that doesn't go ignored. As for the first tournament debacle, it gets a loose adaptation.

You know, for a while I had a theory that Ino was either a Gear herself (namely another alternate and evil version of Dizzy, hence her twisted joy in torturing the latter), or recently, a Valentine.

The latter theory has been thrown out due to Jack-O however. Not only are there enough Valentines, but she doesn't even have the same face as Aria. Though to be frank, I don't think Jack-O, Elphelt, and Ramlethal have the same face either.

Only Jack-O and the first generation Valentine been firmly stated to have Aria's face, yes. Which leaves one to wonder just what part of Aria is in each Valentine, if Ram and El aren't just based on completely different people in the first place.

Man, the dustloop folks were right. This is getting to Murakumo Unit levels of silliness.

Well, there seemed to be some indication that Elphelt reminded Sol of Aria, so maybe she has a similar personality (with more wedding craziness).

Looks like Ram is the odd Valentine out.
