Honestly, I don't see Ariels being Mrs(?) Mystery. The images we've had of her don't seem to match up with the Silhouette.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...An ASW stream just ended.
Not a lot of new information, but we got three tidbits.
- Johnny's story mode model was, apparently, not fit for gameplay. The one you see in the screenshots is a completely new one built from scratch. I'm not sure why this is, but the heavily specific way models are animated and textured for gameplay may have something to do with it.
- The subtitle 'Revelator' is story-related, so we can definitely expect more Story Mode stuff.
- They're not going to change much in terms of balance for the rest of the cast. Apparently Version 1.1 proved to be that popular with arcade-goers, so they might be keeping the other playable characters largely the same.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiSo I've been re-reading some stuff on Overture, and got an answer to my question about Gears vs Valentines.
Dizzy had to be sealed in the first place because the first Valentine tried to sublimate her (which I assume means take control of her). She was also able to control many of Paradigm's fellow gears.
Considering this, and that fact that Dizzy is the daughter of a Command Gear (and I assume one herself) I'd think it's safe to say that any Gear vs a Valentine ends with the Valentine winning.
One Strip! One Strip!Did anyone ever commented on how bad the animations in xrd's story mode are?
Because they are fucking horrendous.
Really, Guilty Gear, alongside Blaz Blue seems pretty big on world building. Much more than most Fighting Game stories in fact.
Technically, SNK (the company, not to be confused with Shingeki no Kyoujin) did it as early as 1991.

Wasn't that a case of Stylistic Suck in order to mimc how 2d fighting games looked?
I mentioned King Of Fighters I believe......didn't I?
Edit: I did not mention it in the post you quoted, but I believe I did so in another post.
Anyway, I just binged on the Arcade mode stories.
Funny how the events that lead to the story mode vaguely take place and all that. It's hard to determine exactly how they happen, but they pretty clearly do.
I'm guessing that that aspect of things will remain a broad strokes sort of thing.
I wonder if Guilty Gear will ever get it's own anime. I mean, if fricking Blaz Blue can get something as bad as Alter Memory (though I've yet to see it so I can't fully judge, but I've heard nothing good), then Guilty Gear might benefit.....but then again, fighting game animes don't tend to do so well.

One Strip! One Strip! No, because the game looks fine (even if they have somewhat sub-par animation techiniques) during fights. But whenever those models have to act out in anything besides face expressions, they end up looking like dolls controled by a kid. I've never seen an anime where a hug looked so stiff and awkward as Ky's and Dizzy's was.
Dressed to Kill. That's due to the fact that those models were intended to be viewed on a plane with limited animations for gameplay purposes. They look fine in talking head bits, but other places? Not so much.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Looking back yea, the Animation is pretty stiff in a lot of areas.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. You're not wrong, a lot of the animation is extremely...I wanna use the term 'tweeny', because it just looks like tweening, and as a result, very unnatural.
Considering the absurd amount of time and effort they put into making the rest of the game look like how it is, it's likely they just couldn't afford animating the entire story mode just like the gameplay.
Although there are a few story cutscenes animated in that fashion, but even they are short, few and far between.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiNah, tweened animation doesn't have so few frames in it.
That's the whole purpose of tweening, to automatically generate frames between keyposes.
Well, yes. Tweening is automated, and that's just what the story mode animations look like.
It looks like they just made keyframes and let the models just transition from one pose to the next with nothing else done, which is why it looks bad.
From what I know, if there was no tweening, it would just look like one keyframe suddenly shifting to the next in a second.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiIt's a completely new character.◊ Her name is Jack-O, apparently, and she's the third henchman for That Man alongside Raven and I-No.
Didn't expect that.
Well, That man seems to be gaining more followers (and they seem just as loyal and less crazy than I-No, though I've never seen Raver, so I can't make any judgements on him).
I wonder if this means a lot of the characters introduced through out X, XX and Accent Core are being dropped.
One Strip! One Strip! It IS a waifu!
Break out the confetti and vomit bags! I can hear the Broken Base coming from a mile away!
(not saying more waifus is bad of course, I'm just saying this might trigger a few discussions about where GG is headed)
From the screens, I'm guessing she might be some sort of minion-summoning character, or a trap based one.
Another thing I'm wondering is if Daisuke just pulled this design out his butt only recently, or if he always intended That Man's third servant to be this character.
Final thought: I'm certainly looking forward to what she might bring to the cast, and her design isn't terrible. Not spectacular, but eh.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiHer motifs and stage just make her look like Fem!Testament
Didn't That Man already have a third follower anyway? Could've sword the character sheet said something about it.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyHe did, but said third servant's identity has never been revealed until now.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiToo late, its already here.
"Ew, she looks a Blazblue character"
I can't sometimes...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Noel and Arakune look great though so how is that even an insult? Lol BB haters/GG elitists are so full of it.
That said...another freakin blonde? Really? There's just too many, I'm starting to hate blondes in fighting games because there's too many of them, it starts to make them boring design wise. JP fighting game devs have this weird fetish for blonde people to where a good 3rd of the roster in DOA/GG is blonde now. It's kind of silly.
I think she's a Smashing Pumpkins shout out(why Japan loves these guys idk), although again a bit too obvious which was kind of how I felt about elfereit or whatever her name was to Guns N Roses. Lack of subtlety there, but then again Axl Low isn't exactly subtle either lol.
She looks too otaku-bait at first glance but she might be cooler in motion. Her design is underwhelming though.

the funny part is that the game is made in Japan.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.lol
I don't think there will be widespread contentment until everyone from the previous roster is back in.
I think she looks nice.

Any news on who voices her?
Huh, Jack'O. Reminds me of what the original Persona with its translation problems call Pyrojack.
Now that we've got a better look at Jack-O, I just realised something. Shes wearing what appears to be a stylish one-piece that ends in bell bottoms.
Disco much?
