Guilty Gear

I just found out we don't have this thread... I plan on playing Guilty Gear X.

Never played Guilty Gear,but I'm a fan of Blaz Blue.

I've only played two of them. GGX on GBA, and Accent Core Plus on PS 2.

Accent Core Plus is gosh darned sugoi.

I really would like to pick up GGXX again. I rented it at a time when I was terrible at fighters. It was a cool game, so I think it'd have a better appreciation of it now that I have a decent grasp on fighters.

I have GGXX. Kinda wondering where I can get my hands on AC+, though.

I used to see it at Gamestop all the time, maybe you can get it online from them?

I seriously wonder if I should bother hunting down Accent Core + when I already have Accent Core.

As far as overall aesthetic and soundtrack goes, I love the original.

Especially its rendition of Holy Orders.

I believe Accent Core was the first Guilty Gear game I played. Not the best starting point when no one bothered dubbing these games and it lacks Story Mode for some stupid reason >.>

Game play wise, it was great though, as was the music, and I have XX for story purposes now.

I have GGXX #reload. I play it when I can, it's a real fun game, with some great characters and a really contrived story. :P At least it's nowhere near as screwed up as BlazBlue's.

Sol Badguy's my favorite, with Ky, Faust, Slayer, Baiken, Testament, Dizzy and Justice up close. Great cast of characters though, definitely one of the more original list of character designs.

Huh? I would think Accent Core would be a great starting point, as it features the most refined gameplay, and won't confuse any newcomers with its lack of a story mode.

Finally got one of these games (AC+) on a system with a controller I can play it on. Fun game, but I suck at stringing combos together. And the game freezes whenever EX Order-Sol or Kliff use their Overdrives. :(

But I like story, and having absolutely no idea what characters were saying meant I had no idea what they thought about each other, unless they had a specific opening that indicated dislike.

I still have GGXX#Reload and play it from time to time. It's a cool game overall and the soundtrack is nice.

So... what characters do you usually play with? I'm best with Millia, but I occasionally play with Faust and Zappa for shits and giggles.

I play everybody randomly, but I'm best with (and thus play most often) Sol and Ky.

At first it was Ky, Chipp and Millian, then Axl, Anji and Jam, but now I mostly stick to the latter two. My favorite is Anji.

I think I was best with Ky, but I played a pretty decent Chipp and Sol as time went on.

I hate Accent Core's announcer. Also the removal of blood made some of the instant kills feel watered down. Testament's especially, yuck.

SO he was saying romantic all this time. I was never sure if he was saying romantic or roman cancel, with the cancel being cut off.

Though romantic...Now I picture Sol in the middle of a tyrant wave and then suddenly embracing Ky in a hug.

AC+'s story mode was bleh. XX was much better.

I use everybody.
