Frozen (Disney film)

It sounds like they're gonna go Happily Ever Before on the movie's ending. Whatever. I'm sticking with unofficial fanfiction and any canonical sequels we might get. Is OUAT any good? From what I've heard, watching it sounds like a really unpleasant chore most of the time.

No Olaf though.

And to think, I was so close to going my whole life without ever seeing Prince Zuko in a dress...

I swear, if Elsa and Hans end up in some sort of alliance, against someone even more evil than he is, I'm going to go postal somewhere.

Oh please, Hans will be posing as someone else, and will be the one making the heroes think Elsa is evil.

My biggest issue with Hans being in OUAT is that personally, I don't see how he can fit in any context outside of the original film without degrading his effectiveness. He was there to show that, yes, strangers can turn out to be manipulative behind their genial personas. Yes, even a "friend" may have ulterior motives. Yes, it is better to take relationships slow before you unintentionally dig a hole too deep for you to escape. He had an agenda, he was willing to carry out that agenda, bam! One of the biggest animated films in history.

After that, what could he possibly do to top it?

That and they're almost certainly gonna make him sympathetic. I'm sorry, but no amount of familial neglect can excuse what he does in the film.

I don't think the Frozen hype will calm down until another animated movie eclipses it, but which one? On the Disney side, Big Hero Six will probably appeal to another segment(s) the most, and I don't have too many hopes put on Zootopia (it'll probably be another Madagascar at best, keep in mind I like all Madagascar movies but they hardly have reached Frozen or, let's say Shrek, levels of pop culture public cred).

I'd love to see The Book of Life steal some of its attention, but I doubt that'll happen.

The Book of Life seems to be more of a niche film with its impressive, if unconventional, art style.

Big Hero 6 has the potential to be another record-breaker, although I'm worried about how the film can juggle the relationships within the team.

Holy cow!! That's an EXPONENTIAL number of sales over Evangelion 2.22!

Holy crap indeed. You know Disney truly has Japan by the balls the moment Frozen beat feckin' Hayao Miyazaki in the Home Video department.

Please, please use those profits for something beneficial to its fans... I know it's wishful thinking, but still!

Belated Easter nightmares

I actually had a dream similar to that once when I was six. Except the lights were next to nonexistent, it involved my stuffed Barney the Dinosaur, and he was calling out my name in the darkness.

I was so attached to it that I wouldn't let my mother change its batteries, even when its voice started going all demonic. So she tried to pry it from my sleeping hands in the middle of the night and turned it on by accident. Result: a slowed-down, garbled version of "I Love You" playing in total darkness and a confused child asking her mother what she was doing to Barney.

I had a weird childhood.

The guys at Eva Geeks are none too pleased about Frozen beating Eva's record.

To further slide the finger up the EVA fans, the Frozen sequel will end with three minutes of a penguin confessing his love for Elsa.

If Disney ever does anything with this money, it will most likely be only for the Japanese, and I won't see any bit of it.

I got myself a new avatar, it's raining like the sky's tearing itself a new one, Mom's going away to Taiwan for a month, still sweating in an air-conditioned room, not even close to finishing my next chapter, and Frohana Week starts tomorrow.
