Jar-Jar: Raj-Raj
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"Phonetically. Wook-Eee. Eee-Wok. The long-short variation in one syllable is the only difference, and it's surprisingly slight.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Star Wars Celebration will be livestreamed just like last year!

If I'm remembering right, there were four walker traps shown in the battle, a trip wire, a catapult barrage, and the two log traps. They ewoks only had a 50% success rate with their traps and that was only after Chewie and his buddies hijacked one.
Hey, has Marvel begun re-printing their old Star Wars comics? Because I saw this panel◊ and now I need to spend money.
Why is Vader holding a cup while choking that guy? How does he drink from it? Does that mean the Force Choke gesture is really just "holding an invisible cup"?

Meanwhile Tarkin's totally rocking that single raised eyebrow.
but HOW?I love the table. It's like the Imperial Command stopped in at space Denny's.
Most of you guys probably watched this by now, but here's a video that I thought was pretty darn neat.
Man, that lightsaber has seen things.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I still think it's weird that they're going the whole "artifact of destiny" route with Anakin's lightsaber.
I hope they don't try to strictly stick Rey to it like glue in the future. I'd much rather for Rey - like Luke (and Anakin, really) - to create her own lightsaber, to match her own identity and signify her growth into a true Jedi.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I want Rey to build a double-bladed lightsaber. Given her experience fighting with a Simple Staff, she's probably be better with it than with a single blade. Luke can keep his father's lightsaber.
Rey should go full Bastila.
So, some people have gotten Life Debt early. Some interesting tidbits:
- General Hux is a bastard child and his first name is Armitage.
- The Fleet Admiral is Gallius Rax, he is actually a Grand Admiral and member of Palpatine's inner circle.
- Palpatine indicated that Jakku "was significant to the Galaxy a thousand years ago, and will be significant again" at least according Mas Amedda and Rax.
- Amedda tries to defect to the New Republic, who tell him to get lost or surrender the Empire.
- Rax stages a surprise attack during the peace talks.

That information on Hux is pretty interesting. Might explain why he has such a large chip on his shoulder.
So Rax is truly Thrawn with a different name aside from him liking music instead of art. Have they said if he's an alien or human like pretty much everyone else in the Empire?
He's human. Also, the Eclipse is mentioned. It was Palpatine's personal SSD. It has mysteriously disappeared....on Rax's orders. Also, Tagge's SSD Annihilator is now controlled by pirates.
How the hell can pirates crew an SSD?
Something something Errant Venture.
but HOW?Errant Venture was a regular Star Destroyer! An SSD is way more resource intensive, way beyond the bounds of literally every pirate game, except maybe the Zann Consortium!
Do we know who's in charge of that pirate crew? Cause if by some ludicrous coincidence it turns out to be Hondo, I won't care how it happened, just as long as it happened.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Hey, check it out, new canon Galaxy map◊! Crosschecking this with my Atlas and... everything's basically in the same place! Yay for no geography retcons! Actually, there is a slight one: Sullust, Eriadu, and Dagobah seem to have been moved one trade route to the Galactic East. Everything else is the same. I even see the Centrality and the Corporate Sector. No Hapes though.
Ruusan's on the map.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.
R2-D2 backwards is 2D-2R! Sound the alarms! Mass panic!!!
