(The diagnostics lag like all hell... but eventually, the tried and true cause is clear to Peripa. That goddamn stubborn glitch with the pain response that recurs whenever Near tries to stuff it back too hard. She's TALKED to him about this shit, man...)

Dunno. Maybe it was how you reacted when I asked for pay. Or maybe I'm just imagining things.

-behind him, the thugs are already starting to shake off their stun...-

-The Dusknoir gives a firm nod before seeing the said rapscallions snapping out of their stun.-

   "Dusknoir, protect that cat and make sure they don't grab them again...!"   

-Dusknoir immediately goes to get between the cat and the rapscallions, readying his fists for a potential attack.-

-Allister then looks towards the cat, very serious.-

   "Get out of there...!"

-Deuce is thrown to the ground, where he flails impotently-

-Vania snatches the sword away a bit hastily, and careens out the window-

-Numerous hordes of sweaty, awkward cosplayers are saved by Morph Moth's care and attention, as she prevents a bloody stampede-

-Banelle stares at the fire-

I can't self-terminate... COME ON! COME THE F-CK ON!! LET ME DIE!!!

-Steph stares as she is dragged out-

-When they're all safe, she rubs the back of her neck-

Uh... wow. That was a wash, huh.

-Babyman doesn't have time to defend himself, he is undone-

-Babyman melts away like blood in the water, or smoke in the breeze-

-The strands of his body drift around the blade of Durandal-

   His strength, whatever meagre measure of it there was, is now mine. And it is now yours.   

Trudy Kidnapping

-Trudy is taken away from the crowds and streets, being dragged into a dark and suspect alley-

Pirateventure

The only way out of this place is through the door in the cistern. Good luck getting through it, though. As you most certainly noticed, it's locked.

-Rows of homogenous architecture line the roads-

-A few human shapes move behind the windows, watching-

He remains there, gathering his breath before he turns to Deuce. "Well, wasn't that a hell of a thing..." he says as he approaches him, extending his hand. "You okay?"

-Steph sits down on the ground next to the tent, looking at her shoes (well, Bezalel's shoes)-

-Kanaya steps out of the doorway into the backstage area-

   Whatever the mongrel tongue of this festering —   

-An axe embeds itself into the wall behind to Kanaya-

-A Babyman stands by the winner's lounge, juggling axes-

-And another one emerges from the stage entrance-
