Hmmm I read earlier that they make it back to the zoo so I was wondering if the penguins and the lemurs stay at the zoo setting up the show, or is it just a different continuity. Because I think that would be a good tie-in to the show.

[up]The show is its own continuity. The penguins and lemurs go with the circus.

It's astounding what audiences will latch onto! People sang along to it and the end! When the circus audience in New York applauded Vitaly for jumping through the ring, some of the real life audience did too!

Speaking of Vitaly they actually never showed him how he does that through-the-ring thing, eh?

Nope. And when after he gets the courage to try it again, he does it several times and they STILL never show it!

Was anyone surprised they went there with King Julian seeing the Pope, stealing his ring, and someone else getting arrested for having it? Granted, it was in a silly montage and wasn't really offensive. It just caught me off guard.

So what's everyone's opinion on the visuals? I think the 3d really made the circus scenes wonderful.

Yeah that circus scene was quite amazing, like, really, really, really beautiful. I just wish they didn't go with Katy Perry for music, that kind of took me off it.... :/

Visually I think one of the best scenes was when they were training trapeze "Americano" because the lighting was amazing.

And the ending was really well animated as well, the lighting was also beautiful and the angles were really dramatic, like when Alex and the animal control lady (I seriously forgot her name) were falling into the water pit with cobras and the jet pack namely. That whole climax was just really spectacular, Dreamworks, bravo.

Really liked the first one, enjoyed the 2nd, and i think this one (just saw it) was pretty damn good too. might be the best, but i'd have to rewatch it

Came in expecting Shrek 3/ 4 quality, came out amazed.

The amount of character put in every scene, no, frame was beautiful. Madagasar 3 added new characters fleshed out so well that I actually became attached to em, and was genuinely horrified when Stephano, my favorite of the bunch, was almost captured by De..... Denies? Or something like that.

I seriously don't really remember the plot of Madagascar 1 and 2, to the point where I question if there was even a villain in 1, and what I remember from 2 felt like four seperate Saturday 30 minute cartoons of each main character dealing with their "problem" combined into one story.

My only gripe with the movie is the choice of music in the circus scene, and that the plot feels kind of disjointed until Vitali's backstory is revealed, kind of like seven minute shorts that shifted from several extremely different conflicts, but I think it's forgivable.

[up]DuBois Chantel, or is it Chantel DuBois?

And I thought the third movie has the whole movie connected instead of 2's disjointed acts.

I find it weird that Vitaly wears clothing... that covers the groin.

Yeah, Julien's subplot was the only joke I only had a slight problem with, in that I didn't...... get why it had to be drawn out as long as it did. I only half-heartedly laughed at it. I just didn't get it.

Julien is one half of the series Breakout Character, so I suppose they had to find something for him to do or the audiences would've complained.

[up][up][up]I think the joke was that he falls in love to a character that is very huge and feral compared to him.

I had no problem with Julien's scenes but compared to the rest of the film yeah they are the least memorable parts.
