Why the fuck is Timesplitters so popular? I really don't understand it at all
Because it has personality on top of being a solid console shooter (such as it is).

I think both Timesplitters and Modern Warfare are fun.

Serves them right for tricking me into buying a collector's edition of an Unwinnable alpha.

Yup, both were good games despite their bugs.

A game that looks and plays like it was made by a bunch of amateurs with barely any talent in making games? Yeah right. It feels more like shovelware than a mentionable game.

This thread is filled with derp.

I'm just hoping someone picks up the IP and uses the resources. Maybe Bethesda/Obsidian are willing to nab it.

[up][up] I think that has the potential to be worse. I don't really trust either to make a straight FPS (as opposed to be RPG/FPS hybrid with focus on the RPG part) game.

STALKER and Fallout 3/New Vegas have some things in common but they're still very different games. Neither Bethesda or Obsidian would be suited to making a STALKER game, IMO. (Or any American developer, for that matter)

How about Bohemia Interactive? I had the impression that Stalker tried to be too much like Operation Flashpoint/ARMA anyway.

Is Metro really that special game?

It's approach to weapon physics and health. Of course, it's not as extreme as the "soldier simulators" (that may have be overkill), but it has an unusually realistic approach that reminds me of them.

Actually, I kinda want to see a BI made Stalker. I totally sucked at OFP and the realistic mechanics gave me some trouble in Stalker, but I find that realistic approach interesting.

Amusingly, someone's actually made a STALKER-themed total conversion for ARMA II.

How can they do that despite, you know, everything?

I mean, good for them, I'm just confused on how they plan to carry out their mission despite the company being dead.

...I kind of wished Goldeneye was better.

Yes it's an old game but now that I am older I have realized how dated and bad it is. Needs a non-Wii retool.
