Read brandygang and Richard Pilbeam's reviews to get my opinion of the comic.
I've noticed that transformation-based webcomics tend to excite a hatred well out of proportion to their actual badness.
Fixed.
I never really particularly liked The Wotch, but didn't really hate it either. The main characters were just kind of...meh. A couple of the sideplots were actually interesting (the genie backstory arc in particular), but they never followed up on them, so...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Tried put of curiosity recently. Couldn't ger past the first issue.
It was too cliche for me the Chosen One plot with the average girl with an average school that gets magical powers Because Destiny Says So and yet another dark lord big bad( doesn't scream originality at all) ... Not sure if it gets better later. But what I saw wasn't very good.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Start in the last few pages. The comic is pretty bad, but with the artist change, it is at least readable.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Why do people always call "meh" art style "BAD!" ? I can get the "lack of improvement" argument, but whenever something looks like, say, El Goonish Shive's early strips, some people react as if looked like Sweet Bro And Hella Jeff...
As for the story and Unfortunate Implications, usually I tend to give those debates a wide berth cause I fear the fire.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Yeah I always had a soft spot for the transformationcomic, but I will admit that the artwork in the beginning till the artist change was horrible.
Also known as Achillesforever6 of Lordkat.com fameLooking back at the very first page, the first comics indeed have the kind of problems I hate (greyish contour lines, use of JPEG for a flat colors picture...)
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."It's not that the first comics had horrible art, it's that it really didn't improve that much. However, I like the new artist a lot.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Guess who's up to no good again!
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Now I'm being reminded of Ian's "Idle Minds" comic...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Neeeeecroooooo...
Since it's back I thought that we should discuss it. I for one was a big fan of it when it started, but when it went on the hiatus I stopped caring. Now since it returned I got say, I'm glad they got the artist from Cityof Reality to do the artwork. (He is much better) Anyway what are yunz guys thoughts about it?
