Here it was. Personally, I agree with the zap. It doesn't show anything, just a face and a caption.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Keep Until Better Image Suggested
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI don't like this pattern. Joss Whedon JAFAAC is still JAFAAC.
That said, I got nothing. I never got anything. I tend to just be the pull-suggester and the Me Too! parasite on Image Pickin'.
EDIT: Well, that pic was eventually pulled after all.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn! It's a guy with a gun, with no indication that there's anything more then that.
Support the pull wholeheartedly.
I swear, we had this discussion before and I brought up The Heavy, but nothing came of it.

Also supporting the pull. Just shows a guy holding a gun.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I still like The Heavy better. See, that is how you caress a gun.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Supporting the pull. The Heavy is much better.

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdThe one with Heavy looks much better.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Still just a guy with a gun tbf. Lets have some more suggestions...
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.We would need to rely on a caption for this, or at least a picture from a comic or something.
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything. — Talking Heads, 1977Dang, technically the Heavy picture doesn't actually show the trope (Naming your gun) but it certainly strongly hints at it. (Hugging it affectionately.) I do want to vote for it, but no, it's not directly indicative.
Pretty close, though.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. The trope isn't so much just about naming a weapon, it's about the emotional attachment that naming a weapon implies.
Plus, he does call in the Minigun Sasha in his meeting video. I think The Heavy is a better picture.
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeHe's a better picture, but is he good enough? Seems open to question.
I think the Heavy is Not JAFAAC.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Yes but then you need to have seen the vid to get the image's connection to the trope.

"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.I like that page, very helpful.
I think Heavy pic is good, as long as it has a good caption to back it up; preferably a quote from him about it.

You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything. — Talking Heads, 1977Quote, eh? Offhand, all I can think of is "Kiss me..." Which is one of the quotes he may say when he hugs his gun like that. Not sure how fitting it is.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Wait, wait, isn't the trope specifically about naming a weapon? The description doesn't in any way suggest that the naming aspect is optional.
We can always make the caption and image work in tandem a la My Greatest Failure, and it has visual cues, stronger than the Firefly image, but let's make decisions with that "named weapons" requirement in mind.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.OK, if it's expressly about named weapons, then the Heavy isn't good enough. Unless we can find a comic or something of him calling the gun Sasha...
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdYes, the trope is specifically about characters who are so attached to their weapons they give them a name. The named weapon is an integral part of the trope.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong. It's expressive enough, so why bother finding a comic of him if we can just put it in the caption?
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I say it's not picturable, unless there's some image of a gun with a name tag.
Pages Needing Images
Crown Description:
The picture originally on I Call Her Vera showed the Trope Namers, but didn't clearly indicate how they were examples, as it did not include the gun's name or any indication that the gun in the picture was the Vera in question. We now look for a picture that clearly displays the definition of the trope: A weapon named after the owner's affection for it.
The previous picture was taken off a while ago claiming it was JAFAAC. (Jayne holding his gun endearingly, which I thought was okay, even before I started watching Firefly ) Any ideas?
