I don't think it's very clear: Boss Room

I mean, I know what it's supposed to be, because I've played Chrono Trigger. I rather think that an in-game image would be more suitable than an FMV image, and it would probably be best to use something closer to a Legend Of Zelda game than an RPG.

The image kind of reminds me of the Chamber of the Fayth from FFX. It invokes an ominous feeling, but I don't thing its well enough on its own (To be honest I only made the connection because of what the trope was name >.>).

This is a very difficult one to find a picture because it really does need to look like a boss' room rather than a large openplan dungeon.

Nice yes but where's the boss part of it?

Do we really need to see the actual Boss so much as "Big room that can only function as a Bossfight Room"?

Would help make it a "boss room" and not just a "very large room which a boss might appear in maybe".

That can work. We can work on the caption, something like, "Sudden appearance of a large, open space with no mooks in sight? Boss encounter rate approaching one."

Some of the ones suggested are quite good, although I'd still like to proffer the idea of a Mega Man example like Stratadrake suggested, since they're usually rather no-frills and would be a rather clear example. I'm no good with images, though.

Wouldn't it be good to show parts of the rest of the level, to make it clear that the boss room is rarely like the others?
