I know this is kind of a 'late for the bandwagon ride' thing, but...yeah. I has interest. Mostly because I just bought Skyrim not a week ago, and I'm already obsessed with the damn thing.

And because an insignificant little post like this won't make the headlines anytime soon, I might as well apply at the same time. Conserves posts, you see.

  • Name: Zaitoma Torin
  • Gender: Male, in case the name didn't give you a hint.
  • Age: 24.
  • Race: Imperial
  • Birthsign: The Warrior
  • Homeland: Skyrim, of all places. Has the accent, too.
  • Appearance: Zaitoma is your commonplace, slightly clichéd, rough-and-tough, brick wall kind of guy. He's not as tall as most other people, only barely breaching the average height mark for men, and that's counting his helmet. He makes up for it in broadness and muscle tone, however. Suffers from heterochromia iridum, making one eye blue and the other an odd shade of green that borders on gray. His hair is your standard-adventure-color, brown, and it just as short as you would expect as well. Small — very small — traces of Altmer blood in his veins causes the tips of his ears to point, although it's very slight.
  • Personality: Zaitoma is...well, he's a Boisterous Bruiser on his best days, and a Blood Knight on his normal ones. He takes a certain glee in shoving his sword into the abdomens of unsuspecting individuals. He's the kind of guy you would expect to see hunting for treasure, or starting barfights because of only the slightest provocation. Although this is where any normal person would put a 'but hiding under that thick skin' piece of drabble, I am afraid I cannot do so. There is no compassionate human being hidden under this 'thick skin,' only the spirit of a teenaged boy who has just gotten his first sword from his father. The true nature of eloquence and romance is lost on this roaring figure, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a situation he didn't solve by just stabbing some bloke in the throat.
  • Possessions:
    • Weapons:
      • Orcish Sword.
    • Armor: (or apparel, as the case may be)
      • Fine Steel Armor, complete with shoulder pieces.
      • Steel Boots.
      • Banded Steel Shield.
      • Plated Steel Helmet (the one that looks like it has metal wings on the side)
      • Imperial Iron Gauntlets.
    • Other:
      • A whopping 500 septims, hanging from a large gold purse at his side.
      • The medieval equivalent of a crowbar, the woodcutter's axe. Uses it for breaking down doors, not chopping wood, however.
  • Skills:
    • Expert:
      • One-Handed.
      • Heavy Armor.
      • Block.
    • Adept:
      • Smithing.
      • Alchemy, of all things.
    • Apprentice:
      • Destruction.
      • Lockpicking.
      • Two-Handed.
  • Abilities-stroke-Spells:
    • Spells:
      • Fire Bolt.
      • Flames.
      • Sparks.
    • Abilities:
      • Voice of the Emperor. With this, Zaitoma's voice takes on the same — ahem — persuasive properties of the Empire's leader, and he can convince anyone to stop a fight.
      • Warrior Birthsign. He is more adept with things made of metal that make the peoples fall down. Simple as that.
  • Background: There isn't much to say about Zaitoma's background. He grew up in good old Solitude, which, as you already know, was aptly named. Zaitoma didn't have many friends through his childhood years, mostly because he'd scare them all away with his frighteningly vast knowledge of the exact direction the blood of a Khajit would spurt if you slit its throat. When he grew up, however, he did a year-long tour in the Legion before deciding, "Nope. Too much order. Screw that," and leaving to go on his own little adventures. At the moment, he is on his merry way to Whiterun, fully intent on joining the Companions and showing those cocky spods a thing or two about fighting.

Small — very small — traces of Altmer blood in his veins causes the tips of his ears to point, although it's very slight.

We generally try to keep the characters 'purebred', so to speak, but that's an insignificant little detail so i'm fine with it sliding.

Skyforge Steel Sword.

Reading your backstory, he wouldn't have this at start, but he could get one pretty easily. If you'd kindly remove that, we'll be working that out in-RP.

Other than all that, i'm fine with it.

Be aware, however, i'm treating it alot like the game's version of the Companions - Dylinnil will most likely be taking Zaitoma along as a Shield-Brother on his next assignment, and generally be the one testing him.

Skyforge Steel Sword has been kindly removed, sirrah, and replaced by an Orcish Sword. I decided to skip on the war axe, since Zaitoma is more of the person to...you know, enjoy stabbing things.

Now, I pose a question.

How, pray tell, can I introduce Zaitoma? I haven't exactly read a lot of the main thread thus far, and I'm not entirely sure if I should use script format, a la We Are Our Avatars, or story format, a la the Massive Multi-Fandom thread.

I would assume story format, since this is Skyrim we're talking about here.

Story format.

... Ezio. You play Ezio.

Anyway, the best way might be to just enter Whiterun, maybe go to a smithy before heading to Jorrvaskr. One of the characters is kinda limboed doing work, so you might be able to work something out so Mac Duffy has something to do.

After that, head on up and speak to Kodlak, and i can take it from there. Might want to read Dylinnils profile just in case you need it for descriptions.

That would be cool, but we'd need to decide what they're like (race, attitude, etc)... and decide who they side with, rendering all our choices about Stormcloak/Imperial moot.

Name: Jenna Malaise

• Gender: Female

• Age: 22

• Race: Breton

• Birthsign: The Mage

• Homeland: Skyrim, Winterhold

• Appearance: Jenna has a very slight build, she is much shorter than the average breton and is very thin. She has shoulder length black hair that she usually wears down, her eyes are a pale grey that is almost white. Having spent much time indoors Jenna has very fair skin, she usually wears college robes.

• Personality: Usually quite sombre Jenna can be very cold towards others. She is very ambitious and will stop at nothing to get what she wants, she has a strong willpower and can be very stubborn. Jenna has a natural affinity for magic and is an accomplished mage, she enjoys performing abstract exmperiments particularly the secret ones that she performs within the Midden below the College. She does have a soft spot, she is very protective of those that she considers to be her friends as she does find it difficult to make new ones, she will go out of her way to help them. Jenna is incredibly manipulative, she is prepared to spread rumours and turn people against each other and she is very good at it. In battle Jenna mostly relies on her skeletons and zombies, with little knowledge of the destruction school and her comparably weak physical frame she has few ways to cause damage to a foe.

• Possessions: ◦ Weapons: Steel Dagger.

◦ Apparel: College robes

◦ Other: 200 septims, 7 petty soul gems, 5 common soul gems, 2 Black soul gems (she keeps these a secret)

• Skills: ◦ Conjuration-Expert, Alteration-Expert, Restoration-Adept, Illusion-Apprentice, Destruction-Novice, Speech- Adept

• Spells: Conjuration-Dread Zombie, Expel Daedra, Soul Trap, Summon Familiar

Destruction-Flames

Illusion-Fear, Calm, Fury

Restoration-Steadfast Ward, Turn Undead

Alteration-Detect Dead, Detect Life, Telekinesis, Stoneflesh

• Background: When Jenna was a child her parents were killed in an anti-magick attack on her parents house, both of her parents were powerful mages however the aggression of the towns people overcame them, Jenna escaped the slaughter by hiding under the her bed after her mother had cast a spell of invisibilty on her, she witnessed the death of her parents and she saw who killed them. Several years later when Jenna had reached her teens, the people that had killed her parents began dying one by one in the dark of night, when they were found each morning the bodies always had the hands of a skeleton wrapped around their throat. The deaths were immediately blamed on the College of Winterhold however the culprit was never found, Jenna managed to get away with her revenge. Jenna still lives in the College of Winterhold, she has become quite skilled in the conjuration school of magic and often helps Phinis Gestor with the training of apprentices, Jenna met Jeane through her dealings with Phinis Gestor and she now considers her as a friend she enjoys discussing Oblivion with Jeane (I have asked KSPAM if this was ok and I recieved a yes). Jenna hides a secret life within the Midden, here she stores corpses and practices necromancy without the knowledge of the arch mage. She experiments on the corpses and often when she raises one of them it has extra appendages. Jenna is almost always accompanied by a tall, burly Nord with short blond hair, he is clad in iron armour and never leaves Jenna's side. This man is the one that landed the killing blow on her parents, she preserved his body within the cold depths of the Midden for years, slowly embalming him and preparing him for survival in the outside world, with the help of a special concoction that Jenna invented herself his body does not decay and remains in a state of normality, he passes for a normal Nord man except upon closer inspection where upon one would discover the vacant look in his eyes and his inability to speak. She refers to the corpse as her brother Sven when people become too curious, otherwise she addresses it as Fool or when she is in a better mood simply Corpse. Jenna must feed the corpse her concoction regularly to prevent decay. She saw it as a fitting curse that the man who killed her parents must serve her for eternity. Jenna's life goal is to discover the secret to becoming a Lich and to live forever.

Chadderbox, try to condense the personality a bit. I can't quite pinpoint exactly what she acts like, but she seems to have a violent mesh of 2, maybe 3 personality types.

The backstory might want to be redone as well. In particular, it sounds like the entire town Jenna lived in attacked her family, which would really set her high on the Most Wanted list. Not to mention that the methods and amount of people make most of it improbable; they'd probably try to burn her home down first, and even if they resorted to close combat, Jenna would not be able to know who everyone involved in the attack was or find that information out anywhere near easily.

A particular detail i have a problem with, even if you're able to change all of the above to be better overall, is the bodyguard she has around. This is mainly because there are strangths and weaknesses to a character, but the bodyguard covers her weaknesses.

One other detail is the four armed zombies. That should not be possible. Concoctions that can preserve dead are plausible, but a way to make a body grow limbs when it's dead and should not be able to actively create any more cells goes a little too far.

Name: Vincent Wirich
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Race: Breton
Birthsign: The Steed
Homeland: Cyrodiil, Skingrad
Appearance: Of average height (6 foot) and of a large build. An almost horizontal scar is right above his lips and below his nose, a lucky knife slash from a bandit playing dead. Not much could be said about his looks. A standard Breton really. Brown hair is kept close to the scalp.
Personality: A guarded individual he trys to keep people from learning anything about him. He doesn't like to draw attention to himself and prefers to watch as others do the talking. Enjoys music and jokes. Quick to anger when wrongly accused of things. High sense of honor and refuses to suffer attacks on his personage. Tends to give up if it seems hopeless.
Possessions/Gear: Steel armor, gauntlets, and boots. Iron longsword, mace, and helm. A dented iron shield. One set of clothing, one copper with sapphire inset ring, and 79 septims.
Skills: Excels in Heavy armor, One handed, and blocking, sufficient in destruction, can technically do restoration if you give him an hour and noone talks. Knows healing, sparks, lightning bolt, and chain lightning.
Background: Born into a good house he was sent off to apprentice at a young age to a higher house. There he learned some basic destruion magic and sword play only to be shipped off again at the age of 15 when some local houselord decides to title himself count, strike banners, and try to play warlord. The imperials crushed the rebellion and executed the count and all the heads of houses who had supported him. Left penniless and with no means or wants to go home Vincent simply sat down on the streets of Skingrad with all the others soldiers who had nowhere to go. A few days later a Dunmer named Balyn approached the group of confused soldiers and started telling them tales of riches beyond imagination. Of how one day they could all be as rich as the emperor himself, of gold and glory. All he needed was men who had no loyalty to any side. 37 men joined the Dunmer that day and soon tales grow of a group of bandits who went from battlefield to battlefield looting corpses and gathering more and more former soldiers, a group who eventually started attacking settlements and leaving no survivors.

Five years after the groups formation was the groups annihilation. It had become to big to remain roaming and had thus settled in an old abandoned fort. Being one of the youngest members meant Vincent drew watch tower duty and being one of the first members meant he was allowed morning duty. He was the first to spot the legion army coming through the woods and thus was the first to be hit by an arrow. He staggered and fell backwards off his tower and passed out. He awoke three days later to find the fort numbers had fallen to roughly a hundred men. They had run out of options and only one plan was left. They raised a white flag and opened the gates. What came next was pure chaos as they rushed the Legions line. Luck held and a good 43 of them were able to pass them and they only lost another 13 in the pursuit. Down to 30 men Bayln took the group south. Vincent went north. He was done with the Bayln's Black Bannermen. He spent roughly 4 years working as a caravan guard. As of late he thinks back on his bandit days and the call of gold and glory. The call is a powerful force and with news of war breaking out in Skyrim he hears the call of both.

Is it okay that I made Skingrad into a war of the roses situation? All that we know of Cyrodill is that has devolved into a series of city states.

I decided to create a completely new character, my other one was a mess, im sorry if my characters are bad this is my first rp so I dont fully know what im doing.

• Name: Eduard Loche

• Gender: Male

• Age: 22.

• Race: Breton

• Birthsign: The Mage

• Homeland: Skyrim, Winterhold.

• Appearance: Eduard has a slightly more muscly build than other mages due to his use of a shield during combat; he is shorter than most Bretons however he doesn’t mind this as it suits his combat strategy. He has short blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

• Personality: Eduard is very independent, he has had to rely on himself throughout most of his life and this quality is reflected in his defensive abilities. He is very reserved and quiet and rarely socialises, he prefers his own company however due to the type of magics he specialises in he is quite often hired by others to be a companion on journeys. Eduard can be rude to others due to his tendency to shy away from socialising though he doesn’t mean it, he is very wary of placing too much trust in others due to the fact that he has been let down before. In battle Eduard will cast defensive spells on his allies and himself while leaving the actual fighting to his familiar; he will occasionally use his shield offensively when an enemy gets too close. Eduard excels defensively however he is very weak when it comes to damage output.

• Possessions: Apparel: College Robes, Iron Shield

• Other: 300 Septims

• Skills: Alteration-Expert, Restoration-Expert, Conjuration-Novice, Block-Adept

• Spells:  Candlelight  Ebonyflesh  Circle of Protection  Heal Other  Greater Ward  Summon Familiar

• Background: Eduard was born and raised in Winterhold, his father was a warrior and he wished for Eduard to also take up the sword and shield when he was of age, during the practice sessions with his father Eduard was clumsy and found it difficult to weild the sword properly, he did however discover that he had a gift for evading and blocking attacks and found himself using the shield more than the sword. Eduard eventually wandered into the College of Winterhold, there he was entranced by the wonders that magic could perform, despite the great damage potential provided by the school of destruction Eduard still found himself drawn to the more defensive schools of alteration and restoration. When Eduard told his parents of his desire to become a mage his father was ashamed, he told Eduard to leave and to never return, from the on he has had to rely on himself and has been hesitant to trust others. Eduard began training in the schools of alteration and restoration and eventually became a favoured student of both Tolfdir the Master Wizard who specialised in alteration magic and Colette Marence the restoration specialist at the college. Eduard quite often travels Skyrim with merchants and nobles who hire him for his defensive spells to shield them from attacks.
