Now in the space station, Desco ignored the loot that they had gotten. Some mooks would take care of putting things in their proper place. What Desco was more interested in now, was where she was going to go next. Schala had mentioned earlier that Desco still needed to kill the Chaos Lord and she was ready to go. It was starting to get late, but one little fight shouldn't take long right? Still, there might be stuff the others wanted to do first and if anything Desco preferred to let others take the lead. So she moved over to Zeal. "That was fun! What should we do now?"

Space Base

Zeal would catch the tail end of a report by Lois Lane to the Daily Planet. "— and the remains of STAR Labs are nothing but rubble... the people have been evacuated and the emergency forces are arriving, but the question on everyone's lips is... where's Superman?" Asgardia, however, was doing completely fine- no sign of trouble at all.

Bowser, however, would find himself on a completely empty Space Base— and the Overlords who had arrived at the base wouldn't see the giant brute either. Floating in the middle of the Base for Bowser was a dark-skinned, red-haired man, sporting a neatly pressed suit, no shoes, and with red, glowing tattoos covering his entire body. He looked over his newspaper, clicking his tongue.    "Ah. It's been a long time since one of you came through the cocoon."    Tatu said, lowering his newspaper and putting on his glasses.    "Ah. King Bowser. How nice to meet you. Are you hungry?"

Iron Heights

"Kiss me." Doctor Alchemy blurted out, eyes darting everywhere. "Once. Twice. No, three times! Be my lover? Be my wife!" He said, grinning madly. "Be my wife and I'll tell you where the S-Stone is! You'll look just perfect on a gown."

Zeal

Zeal frowned slightly at the silence Asgardia seemed to be giving. It should be in some minor state of panic, but it wasn't. Zeal was not sure if that was a good or bad thing. In any case, she began checking possible locations she could head to, either to get more items or to get some recruits. In addition, where were the others? It was pretty obvious that the Metropolis Mission was over. DESCO seemed to have come to the same conclusion.

"DESCO, want to come over here?" Zeal asked the artificial demon. "You too, Schala."

"I am looking for a mission I could potentially go on," Zeal then noticed some of her forces including Dalton leaving to rest for a while, which Zeal frowned at as Schala walked over to her. "Though perhaps after a night's sleep."

Menardi

The demand took Menardi by surprise, and her disconcerting smile was replaced by deep puzzlement. Lover? Marry him? Marriage had never even been an option in Menardi's life, after becoming a warrior and finally taking on the dangerous quest of relighting the Elemental Lighthouses. Furthermore, marrying this madman really wasn't all that appealing...perhaps she could do some bartering.

"You can have as many kisses as you like if you tell me where the Stone is."

Space Base, Alone With Tatu

Bowser was caught off-guard by the strange man. He didn't seem threatened at all! In fact, he seemed to have been expecting the Koopa King! So much so that the man had addressed him by his name, while Bowser himself had forgotten it! With this, something clicked in Bowser's head. He had remembered who he was.

Before he could even respond to that, Tatu had asked the King of the Koopas if he was hungry. As if to cut off any questions Bowser had wanted to ask the strange man, his stomach growled loudly.

"Alright, yeah. I'm kind of hungry. And maybe while we're eating, I could get some answers about what in the Underwhere I'm doing here."

Chase Young - Repulsing the Monkey

Chase couldn't help but smirk as he saw the Flash walljumping to dodge the fireballs. An impressive maneuver, yes, but also very risky since incoming attacks were far harder to dodge while airborn. Better yet, he had stretched his arm towards him once more, but four of his fingers were closed, as if he wanted to poke him. Clearly the masked superhero's confidence in his speed and agility were really high. But as a result he underestimated his opponent's ability to react, which was a serious mistake when faced against someone who had honed his skills for such a long time. A mistake that Chase wouldn't forgive.

Right before the Flash's hand came in contact with his chest, Chase intercepted it with his left hand and pulled it before lifting the man's body with the other one and using his momentum to throw him away, straight through the fire-spewing hallway. Then he darted away in the opposite direction, pondering which trap to use in order to kick his opponent around some more.

Meanwhile everyone was minding their own bussines, Blackfire, was again browsing the computer, looking completely bored , while she clicked with her mouse.

"Lame, loser, loser loser, loser, lo-"–She grinned looking at the screen— "A Martian...now this could be interesting"

"Allmighty Tatu, If you are hearing this. I want something to do, because I am bored" she yawned, sarcastically, as she actually didn't expect any response from him at all.

"If there is nothing interesting to to do;I think I might want to go shopping..." She said, while, heading for the teleporter". If interrupted she would be gone for atleast half an hour, before coming back to the station.

Kirei, Lancer (?) and Monsoon; The Coalition Against Ninjahood And Now A Schizophrenic Pyromaniac

The moment Kirei realised he would miss, he tuned all his senses in search of the counter-attack. He came up with a small noise and a soft tremor and a slight shift in temperature.

The Executor went completely slack. Every fibre of his being was iron, drawn taut by years of training. Now that same training let him evict his tension in a second, crumple to his knees like a messenger killed in the line of fire -

Monsoon shot past his chin. The ball of flame-force burst and sent him skittering, but it did not break him. His muscles, loose, did not tear from the strain. His bones were not crushed on their axes. His lungs were not punctured, only slightly deflated.

He tumbled inert as a doll, scraping and scuffing the sand.

On the fourth skip Kirei hooked his body back to his brain and twisted and pressed his legs to the ground. He skidded. The shock jarred his left arm and knee. He stood, opened his mouth, and felt his lips crack cleanly through the middle. The blood dripped from his chin and made tiny red craters in the sand.

But that was the extent of the damage. His vestments were woven through with Kevlar, and through again with runes that could ward and stay the most deadly of Magecraft. The rest of him was bruised, and that was nothing. He knew what it was to be broken.

Monsoon, too, survived the blasts sent his way mostly unharmed. He lacked any internal organs worth damaging in the vast majority of his body, and the slim remainder was surrounded by proprietary shock absorbers and armour plating. Although there was enough force behind the blasts to send him flying upwards and then swat him back down, destroying a few layers of paint in the process, the brunt of the impacts went into the matrix of carbon nanotubes that made up his body’s musculature and natural armour, dissipating along mechanical limbs. The rest bled out against against a tungsten carbide endoskeleton, shockwaves gone long before they could reach his head, and he was left with nothing more pressing than a few torn surface fibres, superficial damage to the artificial membranes that made up his skin, minor bruises on his pride..

But while Kirei brought his flight to an abrupt end, Monsoon did not. Instead, he rode the shockwave as far as it could last, twirling in the air at the last possible moment before impacting the arena wall. Then, the sheer power of his body leaving deep cracks in the concrete as he kicked away, he flew right back at her.

As Monsoon shot past him for the third time in two seconds, Kirei resumed the liǎng yìdìng and prepared his mind.

Dystopia flashing in his hands, the cyborg ninja angled his ascent to to take him just level with the insane ESPer, lesson learned and no longer trying for body strikes. Through he made a feinted stab towards her neck to raise a reflexive guard, his real attack was aimed outside her core, a slash across her raised arms landing as soon as her guard was up and her reactions were at their slowest, aiming to sever them just below the elbow.

Kirei watched and thought. An Executor had to be efficient in all aspects. His brain shredded out neat little packets of analysis and reassembled them at lightning-speed.

The madwoman can manifest her insanity in the world. This is not new. There is a class of recluses and outcasts who can twist reality at ungodly angles. Psychics. Pustules on the divine plan. They are but a step above the heretic Mages. Not abhorrent enough to be eradicated. Too abnormal to be accepted. At best they are tools for the elect to be used in the service of righteousness.

Even the fruit of your loins your only daught—

A mist spread over his mind, clogging it. He queried.

That is of no consequence. Fire of Magecraft, fire of cleansing, fire of the mind. All can be endured. All can be extinguished at the source.

Kirei dashed the sweat from his brow with one bloodstained hand. The fog flew with it.

Two seconds. The outcome of Monsoon’s attempt would be determined by now.

On his left arm, the Command Seals glowed. One stroke flared and faded, bursting into prana which, with no command to direct it, hung in the air. Then Kirei took the raw surge and rammed it through his legs and the ground liquified as he leapt at her.

To use a Command Spell for physical augmentation is by most measures a waste. It would have served far better in compelling one of your Servants

- if this was a Grail War, and if his Spells were limited to three. But neither of those conditions applied. He had let the idea skirt his mind for the past few weeks. The time had come to take it out of the realm of ideas.

The roiling mass of prana was free, colorless, independent of Magic Circuits and Magecraft both. A second was all it took for him to close the gap. He struck at her sternum, pulling the current up from his legs to his dantian and into his right arm. Even fading, the surge brought his fist to nearly transonic. A second Seal took its place, sharpening his eyes and honing his brain. His irises dilated. He struck. A third electrified his entire body and turned him into a navy-blue blur. His veins bulged. He struck and struck and struck.

He caught the madwoman in an explosion of blows, close in, shoulders and elbows and fists and legs all moving fast enough to graze her with their passing. He pressured her injured leg with every turn and step, aiming with his relentless assault to force her down. Once she was down, her days would end.

Her illness is no fault of her own.

Perhaps. Perhaps Mary Walker did not know of her transgressions. Perhaps she was innocent somewhere in the midst of her tangled sanity-skeins, as much as any sinner could be. But that was of no consequence.

For the beggar was born blind not from any sin, but so that he might reveal the glory of God.

"Just come to pick up a few things really. Now what were they...elasticity, fire manipulation, invisibility...a bunch of other abilities I get giddy just thinking about having."

"Now don't you worry, in my hands, your powers'll be fulfilling great, great things."

The Ultimate Eye was no stranger to movements, but the blast of fire still took it by surprise. Greed jumped back, his arm, still under the Ultimate Shield, being set aflame, burning at him bit by bit Greed shoved his arm into the next pile of snow he could find in an attempt to cool it off.

Tesseract and Mooks - Metropolis to Space in under a second

Tesseract's forces collected the surplus weaponry and armor, and would proceed to store them in one of the storage rooms. This equipment was untested and unknown, and therefore would not serve them as well as weaponry they understood.

Tesseract himself made a beeline for Tatu, and stood before him.

"The mission has been completed, with some success. We have acquired multiple artifacts, one specimen, and a single prisoner who had been singled out for recruitment. We were unable to recover anything else."

"For the failure to acquire the Genetic Accelerator, the blame lies solely upon me. I destroyed it in an act of rebellion against a plant being who was attempting to possess me. I will accept any punishment you wish to give."

"As for the failure to acquire more artifacts and allies, no blame can be laid upon my teammates... except for Greed. We agreed upon a plan of action, and were putting it into effect when Greed derailed it for reasons unknown. Judging by the lack of presence during the final half of the operation, he also prematurely retreated. Although I will do so if you wish, I have reservations in regards to working with him again."

He waited silently for Tatu's response. He glanced around the room, noticing the lack of the troops he had left behind. Presumably, another Overlord had decided to take them on another mission. He should probably check up on them.

Desco moved over to Zeal, but she had no idea what mission Zeal should go on. She thought about it a bit, but Desco was basically blank. They were still trying to be relatively stealthy about what they were doing. "Uhh, Desco doesn't know... what about Japan?" Desco pointed over to the small island country. "That is where Desco was created."

Hand Ninja Base, Japan

It didn't take the hearing of a werewolf to hear the Joker's laugh echoing throughout the base. Free and Crona knew where they had to go, and followed the sound of the clown up the building. The pair pushed opened the door to the room and paused, trying to take in what was going on. Joker was bleeding out, the spider-things were there, and a couple of the weirdos were fighting a woman. "The hell did we miss?" Free commented off hand.

Crona looked down at the bleeding clown and grimaced, taking a step away from the puddle of blood. "This wouldn't be a problem if your blood was black." The teenager said.

Space Station

Medusa had spent some time exploring the new additions to their base. Seems like Tatu had told the truth, and the actions of the others had expanded their influence. If this is what things were like with what little they have accomplished so far, then thing base was going to become very interesting as they start the final portion of their conquest in this world. The witch made her way to the computer consoles to look up what Poison Ivy was up to at the moment. She'd have to start planning around where she was as well as her abilities.

Doomstadt, the Sky

Ahriman narrowed his eyes as Doom vanished. They narrowed further as a multiplicity of small vortices tore open in the fabric of reality around himself, vomiting forth a number of his own Doombolts. A clever trick, and against a lesser foe it might have spelt Doom’s victory.

But these bolts were of Ahriman’s making, born of his own coalesced spite and hatred. He would not have them turned against himself so easily.

His hand swung up, palm open, and with a thought he altered their trajectories. The roiling bolts of dark matter converged upon his armoured palm, veering sharply around his body in the process, and struck. There was no explosion this time, only a snarl and a gnashing of teeth as the sorcerer reabsorbed the energies back into himself. Black fire scorched through his veins, figuratively and literally, and he could feel the skin of his hand blacken and split as if held over a promethium brazier. His hand curled into a fist, trembling with effort as he fought down the pain.

Then the moment passed, and the fire gave way to a dull persistent ache.

Ignoring Cosmin, Ahriman cast out with his mind, following the spore of Doom’s presence. Whatever spell his foe had used to whisk his astral body back to its corporeal shell had been a brutish and unsubtle thing, leaving a trail even a warp-blind tau could follow—a trail, and a fissure in the fabric of space and time, an aperture looking into the spell’s destination. Sound alone came through, but it was enough to let him grasp the situation; Doom was drained by their struggle, teetering on the verge of exhaustion, yet he still had one last trick up his sleeve.

Destroyer.

The Chaos Lord thought back to his arrival on the satellite a week before, when he had first perused Victor von Doom’s profile and chosen him to be his target. The words he had read from the hololith screen were as sharp and clear now as they were then, and he sifted through his memories of what he had seen there. Soon enough he found what he was looking for, and when he did, his jaw set in a hard line.

He could not let Doom activate this device. If he did, all would be lost.

+No,+ he replied grimly, +but soon I will.+

Ahriman channelled his power into his Black Staff and thrust it forward. From its horned head, crackling arcs of black lightning and roiling sheets of iridescent flame shot forth in a cacophonous beam of sound and colour, a beam that ploughed into the poorly-sealed dimensional rift Doom’s spell had left behind.

And for the second time in as many minutes, the fabric of reality was torn asunder. The wind howled as a shimmering hole of oily, scintillating light ripped itself open before Ahriman, his power and will tearing open the tunnel through which Doom had made his escape, shoring up its collapsed passage, altering its very nature so that it would permit the travel of physical entities as well as incorporeal ones.

Then the sorcerer was gone, launching himself down that shimmering gullet on howling jets of force and flame.

The time for subtlety and scheming was long past. It was time to end this.

Doomstadt

"M-Master!"

The sound of one of his servants' high-pitched squeak was enough to draw Doom's attention from the water he was using the re-hydrate himself and wash away all the sweat that had built up during his visit to the astral plane and towards the crackling electricity covering his bunker. Once he saw that all too familiar helmet popping out of the tear in space, he quickly turned to his servants, energy returning to his muscles.

"The Destroyer!" He yelled to one of them, who quickly turned around and ran down a nearby set of stairs. "And you, activate emergency maneuvers." Doom trembled to his feet, raising his two hands, ready to summon another spell when one of his servants stepped forward, carrying one of the pulse rifles they had laying around on strategic positions on Castle Doom for security reasons. "You—"

"Go ahead, Master Doom." The servant said, his finger shaking over the trigger as he waited for Ahriman's head to appear through the rift. "I'll take care of him."

"I will not entertain your notions of heroism." Doom grumbled, his eyes staring right through the man's back. "But your sacrifice will be for the good of Latveria." That phrase brought a smile to the servant's face. It wasn't the thank you he was expecting, but to hear his master say one positive thing towards him, even as he followed that up with a strategic retreat back to his quarters, was enough to give him enough confidence to blast the bunker with as many pulse blasts once he saw Ahriman crossing the rift into the castle.

Space Base

With Bowser

"Hm, let me put it like this, King Bowser."    Tatu said, rubbing his chin, before snapping his fingers and summoning a plate of ribs hovering right in front of Bowser's eyes.    "I'm just a very, very powerful being with a proposition that I think you'd love to hear. It involves conquering, fighting magnificent battles... and getting everything you've ever wanted with just the snap of your fingers. Would you be interested in that?"

——

With Everyone Else

Tatu was sitting down on one of the available seats as the mechanical servants operated the Space Base. When Tesseract made his report, the godly being looked down from his nails at his Overlord, before leaning forward and smiling.    "Well, how do you want me to punish him, Tesseract?"    He asked, raising an eyebrow.    "I trust you, which means Greed has to pay for costing all of us an important weapon, doesn't he?"

Medusa would see that Poison Ivy was currently on her plant-overrun home in the outskirts of Gotham, a slow heart rate meaning that she was currently asleep.

Troy

"All yours."    Tatu repeated, slowly placing his hands on Lambda's shoulders, his voice taking on a more comforting tone to calm her down.    "Came with the rings. It's funny... once this was a great, utopian city. But the Mandarin's pride and foolishness made it turn into this. He spent the last year or so crying over the destruction he had brought upon his people. But now, those mistakes have disappeared, along with him. You are the Mandarin... and so the city of Troy is yours."

Central City

The Flash managed to turn Chase's move to his favor in no time, narrowly dodging the fireballs (some of which grazed his uniform) and landing on top of the tubes from which said fireballs were coming out of. He jumped from tube to tube, before landing on the ground, tapping his feet several times to send out a few vibrations and running towards where Chase Young was.

And even if Chase had caught onto his trick and was jumping around to avoid being detected, the police officers watching from afar started yelling directions to Chase's location in order to get the Flash to the right place- so at least he had that covered.

——————-

At the same time, in another part of Central City, Blackfire would find herself face to face with a round craft, buried halfway into the ground, the centerpiece of an amusement park based around aliens and Mars. A man dressed up in a fluffy Martian costume bopped past Blackfire, leaning down and giving her a starship balloon before going back to his merry ways, as the people enjoyed a day on the park, visiting the various space-themed rides.

Mount Everest

"You will get nothing." The Super Skrull replied, his body being covered in the orange rocks from before. "But pain and suffering." He finished, before sending forward one rock-wrapped arm to wrap around Greed's waist. Knowing how those eyes of his operated, he quickly sent another arm flying towards the homunculi's head, trying to grip it and pierce his two eyes, not knowing of his enemy's regenerative abilities.

Iron Heights

"What kind of trade is that? I want them now. Right now." Doctor Alchemy said, showing Menardi a set of gritted, rotten, yellow teeth. "Right now, or no stone. I die, and the stone dies with me. No one will ever find it— not even those guards running down the corridor right now..."

The Hand Headquarters

Did Mary look like a girl with a plan? Because she wasn't a girl with a plan. When Moonsoon shot forward, she knew that everything wasn't as it seemed with the man, that she had to expect so much more. So when the sword went from her neck, Mary threw herself to the ground, attempting to dodge both the feint and the real attack altogether. She placed her hands on the ground, a surge of psychic energy sending her forward to kick Moonsoon in the face...

... as Kirei's fists met her leg right in mid-air. The punch was enough to send Mary Walker hurtling into the concrete, and it was strong enough to make her impact cause a crater on the wall around the arena. When the dust from the stone settled, Mary laid on the ground... her leg completely bent out of shape. From their position, Moonsoon and Kirei could clearly see that her bones were past healing. But while that would stop Mary Walker... it didn't stop Bloody Mary.

The steel grates covering the seating area suddenly splintered into a million pieces, as Mary raised her trembling hand, her bone cracking itself back into place as the metal wrapped itself around her leg, forcibly holding it upright and creating a makeshift, yet very, very painful leg brace for her to stand up on. But the pain didn't phase Bloody Mary. She had an insatiable lust on her eyes and a mad grin on her lips. Fists clenched, she opened her mouth and roared at the top of her lungs, the air in front of her doing a quiet, petering pop before suddenly exploding into a blast that covered the area in front of her in a wide arc in a wave of fire.

Space Base, Alone with Tatu

Upon seeing Tatu summon a plate of ribs, Bowser immediately grabbed a rack and started chowing down. As his teeth tore into the meat like a starving animal, he listened to Tatu's proposal. His face brightened significantly when Tatu mentioned that Bowser would be able to get everything he ever wanted if he played along. He took a second to swallow his current bite before responding.

"Bud . . . You had me at conquering and fighting. But getting everything I ever wanted? That's the icing on the cake! I'd have to be as dumb as a Goomba to even think of turning that down! GWA-HA-HA-HA!!!"

The Koopa King's mind raced with endless possibilities of what he could do and what he could have once this was all done. He could finally get Peach to love him! He could take over the Mushroom World with nothing more than a glance! He could finally get even with him . . . Bowser snapped back to reality, licked his right hand clean of the barbecue sauce that had by now covered it, and extended it out to Tatu.

"So, where do we start?"

"A couple of rules, of course."    Tatu said, standing in front of Bowser's plate of ribs and running his finger through some of that excess grease.    "First of all, I'm taking you in to be my general. King Bowser, I have a plan to take over the multiverse. And to do that, I'll have a multiversal army. That's why I need someone as powerful as you to lead it for me- alongside many other generals I have recruited from all over the multiverse."

"I shall send you and your follow generals into missions... succeed in those missions, and I'll reward you with a wish. A no-rules wish— you can wish for anything, to be bigger, stronger, faster, whatever goes through your mind, I can make it come true. This is all so I can prepare each and everyone of you for the battle, the war... do I still have your interest, King Bowser?"

As Tatu explained the rules, Bowser finally finished off the rack of ribs in his hand, and proceeded to use one of the bones as a toothpick.

With me helping you conquer the multiverse and you rewarding me with those nice prizes you mentioned, there's no way either of us could ever lose! GWA-HA-HA-HA!!!"

"The only reason I can see for Greed to have done this is that he gains pleasure from either bloodshed, or betraying his allies. Either way, a suspension from duty would seem to be an appropriate punishment."

Menardi

Doctor Alchemy was abruptly interrupted by Menardi's lips meeting his own as she pulled him into a warm kiss. She was not a very good kisser, having had little experience in her adult years, but it was noticeably warm and she did her best despite her partner's poor dental hygiene. This close, the Doctor could feel her bodyheat and the curious furnace-like smell of her dragonkin skin. But despite her tough skin, her lips were soft.

After some time had passed, Menardi let him go and put the Doctor back down on the floor. She repressed the mild disgust she felt over kissing the madman for now, and forced a smile. The guards could be here any moment, and they had to move.

"Now, where do we go?"

Space Base

"Your willingness is so appreciated."    Tatu said, snapping his fingers as the other Overlords currently in the Space Base and the mechanical servants appeared to Bowser- the giant Koopa appearing to them as well. Tatu had gone from standing in front of the turtle to standing in front of Tesseract, as he pointed over to the giant.    "Gentlemen, over there is our new General, King Bowser. I expect all of you to treat him with utmost respect. Bowser, on these consoles spread around the ship, you will find a list of exceptionally powerful individuals currently residing on the world underneath us. Choose one of them, go down to the planet and... rid them of their life, so that you may obtain their powers- this is for later, when all of you will run a full-scale invasion of that pitiful ball of dirt and water down there. Understood?"

And then, he leaned closer to Tesseract, lowering his voice so only the masked man could hear him.    "Tesseract, you want to know why I prefer people like you? You like to use your head. That's a quality I can respect— after all, I wasn't always a godly being who could abuse of his power. But you have to understand that for every you, I need two of those."    He pointed at Bowser.    "Two giant brutes who don't use their head because those people are the kind of pawns you need. Being suspended from duty is not a punishment for people like Greed. No, that's just an extended vacation. Tell me, Tesseract... what do you REALLY want him to go through?"

Iron Heights

Doctor Alchemy's smile was three parts dumbfounded and seven parts in outright ecstasy. "Downstairs. Way downstairs!" He started explaining, pointing at the door. "They keep my stone on a safe. A vault. A bunker. Way downstairs. Past the Abomination. Past it, past the Abomination, there's a bunker. A vault. A safe! That's where my stone is."

Tesseract - Space Base

"I wish nothing more than he receive the appropriate punishment. But you are correct, that would not be a punishment in his eyes."

Tesseract stayed silent for a moment, but nodded at the arrival of Bowser. No use to discard courtesy.

"During the mission, he showed bigoted tendencies towards human beings. Perhaps he should be pitted against a hero, or a villain, that is a mere human yet able to defeat Greed almost effortlessly. We should not allow Greed to return until he is on the verge of complete defeat or capture. It should be a humbling experience."

Teridax

Teridax lifted his eyes to the sky as the thunderstorm gathered, rain and wind howling around him in a maelstrom of anger; and then he smiled. The lightning struck.

Teridax's smile hung on to his visage even as he gritted his teeth. Pain flowed through him as the lightning struck him again and again; but instead of tensing up and redirecting the blasts he opened himself wide to it's energies. He felt his veins burning as electricity ran hot through them, as power surged through his body.

It felt great.

He waited till the lightning had subsided, to make way for the giant hand of steel. Teridax looked up at it and barked a laugh even as rain drenched him, steaming as it fell onto his armor.

"Is this, ALL YOU HAVE FOR ME?"

Another bolt of lightning struck him even as he spoke. He pretended not to notice. Then came the great claw of metal.

It's metallic fingers reached out for him and were promptly stopped in their tracks. A film of shadow energy had sprung up around the metal construct and enveloped it. Inside the shadow energy, the metal burned against the energy barrier. However, it wasn't going to hold for long, the film was tearing....

But that was all that Teridax needed.

In an instant, Teridax lit up like a light bulb. Lightning rippled out of him, sparking on the ground and lighting the dump on fire even as the heavy rain doused it down.

"Now, I suppose it's my turn."

A single garish blast of lightning leapt from Teridax's outstretched hand and hit Magneto's wall dead on. Then like a tennis ball the lightning rebounded. Under Teridax's dictation, the lightning arched before striking the wall again at another angle, then again, and then again. Where the lightning touched, the metal would glow red hot and begin to melt and burn.

Magneto's metal wall would soon find itself crumbling.

Then Magneto would feel a familiar knocking inside his head.

"Here we are trying to kill each other and yet you know nothing about me. Are you at all curious as to why I am here to burn your world?"

Menardi

"Downstairs, abomination, bunker, vault, safe. Wonderful."

The word "abomination" rang a bell. Menardi was sure she'd seen it on the list of supervillains. But why would it be in a prison, acting as a guard? Was it some sort of guard dog? She would have to burn that bridge as she crossed it. Menardi's smile was wider than ever, and she started getting ready to leave.

"Well then, if that's everything, should we go about setting you free before we head downstairs?"
