Dr. Eggman

"Hmmm. You have a point," Eggman conceded, handing the Soul Dagger over to one of his badniks for safekeeping. He’d have to be sure to leave the Soul dagger in the hands of someone he could trust.

It was then that Amon reported in that everyone was finished up in STAR Labs and were all heading back. "Understood", he said into the communicator.

Turning his attention back to Queen Zeal and the matter at hand-namely, Zeal’s reluctance to let him experiment with the only vial of hypno-pollen available to them-Eggman responded "Oh, Believe me, Zeal, I have extensive experience tapping into the energies of ancient artifacts and relics. In fact, I'm an expert! Tapping into the Ibis stick's energy will be mere child's play, and once I've done so, we'll have an endless supply of hypno-pollen to study!"

Metropolis

"... D-Dio, I—"

The held back gasp that interrupted his speech was born out of a couple of reasons. First one, and perhaps the most easy to use as an excuse, was the fact that at that moment, STAR Labs was consumed in an instant ball of fire, as the lower windows of the building exploded, its bases giving in as the once proud glass behemoth slowly sunk into the ground, sending a cloud of dust spreading through the entire street as the shockwave from this explosion blew out the glasses of a few nearby stores. Thankfully, this didn't seem to affect the people inside the elevator, which shut its doors on the nick of time.

Secondly, who... or what was this man standing in front of Amon? He thought he had gotten to know Dio and his verbose manners ever since he joined the group of Overlords a few weeks ago, but this intimate moment had shown him a rather surprising side to the vampire. His looks did not betray what happened inside his mind, easily hiding his masterful ability to craft poetry out of even the most common combination of words. Maybe he was just exaggerating, and maybe it was truly the heat of the moment, but right there, standing so close to Dio, Amon felt as if every word of his rang so true... his soul, his spirit was almost soothed into a peaceful state by this lullaby.

The explosion and the silence of the elevator shook him out of this moment he didn't know if he truly wanted to leave, allowing him the chance to formulate a response that didn't make him sound like an enamored young person. "There is truth in your words... I simply wish you would have spoken to me sooner. Let me use this moment to tell you what I found..." He raised the bloody vial he had been holding on his left hand. "Inside this vial... is a living being. A symbiote, if you'll remember what we saw before heading to STAR Labs. It had been bonded to a being from this world, a human whose abilities were enhanced... perhaps... tenfold. He was the sole man responsible for all that destruction."

"I removed this being from him with the assistance of one of the scientists." Amon continued. "Unfortunately, he did not get out. Instead, I had to watch as this creature forced the scientist to eat a chunk of its finger, at which point said chunk suddenly ripped him into pieces from the inside once it had reached his stomach." He glanced at his tattered sleeve. "All I got from it was a ripped sleeve."

"This symbiote, from what the scientist told me, has a mind of its own. However, the one in control.. most of the time... it's the host." Amon looked up at Dio again. "And that is where we are now. I hold in my hands what could be the key to turning me into something that even the mightiest members of our team will fear..." He sighed, shrugging and arching his eyebrows. "Or a mindless monster with an insatiable bloodlust whose only way out will be a sword to the neck." He watched as the something within the vial started writhing. "What do you think?"

Upstairs, on the computer, Eggman would get a message. Ready to go up? was what the message asked, and annexed to it was an ASCII drawing of Tatu's face.

Troy

   "You called?"

Tatu's voice brought a sudden, inhuman warmth to the location, as his form suddenly appeared on the middle of the street, leaning against a car, still reading his newspaper.    "Sorry. It's just... I've been watching you, and I am giddy with excitement over the fact you managed to destroy the Mandarin. Truly, I am."

He walked over to Lambda's side, before suddenly doing a rather dramatic bow.    "A pleasure to meet you, o Great Mandarin."    The godly being spoke with a type of respect one wouldn't usually hear in his voice.    "May I have the honor of holding your hand?"    He asked, holding out his own dark-skinned hands, its long and slightly sharp fingers squirming insignificantly.

Central City

Hearing the sounds of Chase Young's footsteps leaving the platform, the Flash took a deep breath. It seems as if his enemy hadn't really made his research. Every speedster in this world tapped into an ethereal energy field they had nicknamed 'the Speed Force', which is what let them do a myriad of unusual things with their abilities. Wally knew about the power of the Speed Force from memory, what with all the journeys through time he had done, and the whole 'faster than a speeding bullet' thing.

But he also had a lesser known ability, that to control vibrations. After all, they were a sort of speed too. By tapping into the Speed Force, the Flash could sap an object of its vibrations and transfer that power to its legs, or vice versa. And the first step of the training that let him reach that kind of power level involved sensing vibrations.

So as the Flash jumped from the platform, he effortlessly landed on a normal platform, placing his hands on the wall, feeling his 'eyes' expand over the maze as he searched for the vibrations that came off Chase Young's steps. Luckily, he was now jumping from platform to platform, which meant...

... and in an instant, Chase Young would see the Flash running from the opposite end of the corridor he was in, a grin in his lips and a hand stretched out.

Iron Heights

"I don't think it's going to be that easy." A voice came from the other side of the iron door, and there was a tongue click followed by rapid scurrying. "Let's just say if any of you two get through that iron door... hm... I'll turn the blood coursing through your veins into stone." Three quick chuckles which almost overlapped each other followed. "Actually, do come through the door. I really want to see that happen now. You two are enough idiots to trip the alarm and warn all of Iron Heights' to your presence, anyway."

Blackfire, noticing Shala didn't seem entirely convinced, she released her from her, friendly, grip and then she took two big wads of money, she had been hiding near her chest, and offered one to Schala .

" Speaking of freedom...Wouldn't you like to go shopping? Maybe we could get you some new clothes, It's my treat.—Blackfire smiled, deviously, to Schala— "Unless you want to ask permission to your mother first. I would understand..." she teased her.

Dalton

As Dalton watched the STAR Labs building go up in flames, Dalton decided to muse a bit.

"You know, I think the ones who built the building set those bombs," Dalton noted to the others. "If I kept as many valuable artifacts and powerful prisoners in a singular location, I would certainly have some sort of failsafe in case chaos ensued... and chaos certainly did ensue."

"...You may have a point, Dalton," Zeal agreed with her second-in-command, pocketing the Hypno-Pollen. "Well, then, I request you inform me when you have successfully harnessed the power of the Ibistick, Dr. Eggman and I shall let you use it on the Hypno-Pollen."

"I guess this spells the end of that man who ate the Hypno-Pollen," Schala frowned a bit as STAR Labs exploded but smiled as she was given some cash and looked at Blackfire, "I would love to, but I believe we shall have to leave here soon."

"It is about time we leave here," Zeal said out loud for everyone to hear. "We have gotten enough items and done enough damage for one city."

Menardi froze while reaching for the door handle. What was with that threat? The files had said nothing about him having any powers save for what the Stone gave him. Did he really have the Stone in there with him? No, it had to be a bluff. Or...was he in this prison of his own free volition? She supposed that was possible, but...it seemed so unlikely. Should she confront him with it? Or keep talking until he gave it away?

"Now, Doctor, is that a way to greet your rescuers?"

Tesseract - Metropolis Secret Base

Tesseract strode from the elevator, and nodded at Zeal on his way in. However, he made a beeline for Eggman, and stood behind him for a moment before speaking.

"Other than what your forces and Dio's Forces may have obtained, we have the Ibistick, claimed by Dr. Eggman; a vial of Hypno-Pollen claimed by my queen; and the Souldagger, as well as enough weapons, armor, and supplies to outfit both our groups," Dalton noted to Tesseract. "Also, Blackfire and DESCO were successful in obtaining the currency of this planet."

Dr. Eggman

As Eggman watched the STAR Labs building go up in flames, he said to Dalton grumpily "I suspect you're right, Dalton. I have no doubts that this will cause some complications down the line." Oh yes, they'd probably be feeling this one for a while.

The others then returned, and a rundown of the items he and Zeal had obtained had been given. "And what items did you all retrieve?" Eggman asked, holding the Ibis Stick in his lest hand, while stroking his mustache with his right. "I witnessed a good deal of what you did within the facility, but with all the ensuing chaos, my attention was divided."

Lambda looked truly surprised. Her new master appareing before here just like that, prasing her, bowing and offering her his hand. It was quite a bit to take in at once, and she didn't know how to respond. After all does one congradulate a gun after they've shot someone? Or sword after they've sliced them in half? This victory belonged to Tatu in her mind.

Though still dumbstruck, she meekly took his hand in her own. Though there was something she wanted assert even if it might get her punished. "S-saya. I want—I want to be called Saya..." she said trembling slightly.

Teridax

Well, that was unexpected

If Teridax could shrug, he would have, even as the newly powered Marco smashed apart his shadow constructs. A shame really, those constructs were being quite useful up until now. But Teridax wasn't one to mull over lost opportunities; more interesting developments were taking place in the form of form of Magneto giving Briar his helmet.

Now, why would he do that?

Not only did that leave Magneto open to attack, it gave Teridax's own mind free range. It was a mistake Teridax would not give Magneto time to regret. If Magneto's mind had a front door, it was kicked down the instant the his helmet left his head. Then, through the door stepped Teridax.

It was an incredibly strange sensation, even for Magneto who's past encounters with telepathic individuals gave him a certain degree of familiarity with mental struggles. For up till now, all the minds that had intruded into his were human, or at least, mutant. This was different. It was like having a sharp and annoying rock in your shoe that you couldn't remove.

But such comparisons only lasted until Teridax spoke.

"Hello Erik, nice friends you have there."

Teridax paused and examined Magneto's mental barriers, occasionally tracing a finger over the surface. What were Mental barriers but thoughts? Inventions of the mind that protected the inner works from prying eyes. Of course, mental barriers drew their strength from different sources: some from sheer hardiness and will power, some from certain hopes and ambitions, others were simple reflexive actions. But whatever they were, they were of the mind. And the mind could be fickle.

Teridax smiled. Any moment now Magneto was going to use his mental barriers to evict him from his head.

"such a shame you won't get to see me rip them apart."

Visions flashed through the metal master's mind; of streets covered in blood and people lying dead in them. Some of the faces he would recognize, some of the faces he would never know. Through the streets strode Teridax, nonchalance guiding his stride.

Meanwhile for Briar, welcome release was provided by Magneto's Helmet. She would see Teridax stop in his tracks, his claws holding pieces of her mind. He looked up then around at her, his glare burning into her eyes. Then, he began to fade- starting from the feet until his body had vanished. Last to vanish were his eyes, their hellish burning with malice.

"We'll be seeing each other soon."

And then he was gone.

Back in the physical world, Teridax had grown tired of being smothered by Magneto's metal. Doubtless the man was going to try and crush him. Ineffective and inefficient. Magneto should have ripped him apart. His mistake. Teridax shifted as well as he could still he had both hands on the metal, then he triggered his power of Disintegration.

Glowing cracks spread across the surface of the metal, spreading like veins to all corners of Teridax's impromptu prison. The cracks pulsed before going out. Then Teridax exploded out of the metal like a caged beast ripping free from the bars. The metal around him became dust and blew away as he charged towards Magneto's ring of metal, shadow energy condensing on his hand like the morning dew.

Chase Young - About to enjoy himself

The fact that the Flash was approaching from the opposite side of the corridor he was running through actually surprised Chase a bit. He wasn't expecting the red blur to get close to him so quickly. But the competition was just beginning, and he wouldn't let his rival get such an easy victory. Specially not without at least having some fun with him.

"Spider doing Hokey Pokey!" Chase exclaimed, hopping out of the platform he was standing on and propelling himself forward at great speed, aiming to give the Flash a vicious kick to the partially metal-covered face that would hopefully send him flying away. After all, what's a showdown without some fighting?

Up above, the clock continued ticking down.

Iron Heights

"Clearly you jest!" The Doctor replied, laughing. "Why, it's obvious my wellbeing is not that important for you people. If it had, you would have warned me before opening a hole in this iron door. In fact... I believe you're here to do something completely different. What proof do you have of your good intentions, my pretty?!"

Troy

"Saya?"    Tatu smirked, nodding.    "Yes, yes, of course. Saya. If that is what you want to be called, then so be it."    He rubbed his chin, still holding out his hand, waiting for her to give her hand in return.    "Saya... such a beautiful name. Befitting of a strong-willed fighter like yourself. Yes, I watched this battle, and I was very, very impressed, my dear Saya. Weren't you?"

Saranac Lake City

Almost instantly, Magneto activated his mental barriers, defenses he had developed after many encounters with his friend, Xavier. They appeared like fences, erecting themselves around Teridax, made out of powerful, thick, unearthly steel. The fences rolled around, merging with each other, gaining barbed edges as they tried to push Teridax more and more out of the metal master's head.

And if the visions troubled Magneto, he did not betray him. In fact, Teridax would see a total lack of emotion- apart from anger- as Magneto exerted his control over the dust particles Teridax had created. Sure, it was dust, but it was still metal. These dust particles melded with each other, forming several razor thin, almost invisible wires which placed themselves in front of Teridax's charge, floating steadily in the air, hoping to slash off his limbs and his head as he accidentally ran through them.

Central City

Spider doing Hokey Pokey?

The odd nature of Chase's announcement prompted Flash to forget about his objective for a mere second, which was all Chase needed to kick the scarlet speedster right in the face with enough strength to send him to the ground. The cops watching the battle jeered loudly at Chase Young's move, yelling out words of encouragement for their hero.

"Go Flash!" "Kick that kid's butt!" "Make him ask for his mommy!"

Gritting his teeth at having lost track of Chase, the Flash gripped the wall and started tapping his finger against it at mach speed, sending several vibrations through the ground which expanded over the maze. The vibrations would 'go around' Chase Young after he landed, and using that information, the Flash would resume the hunt for his enemy, running towards him as fast as he could.

Nothing could distract him now.

The Tamaranean then followed Shala and Zeal, as they attempted to flee from the lab.

Chase Young - Definitely enjoying himself

The moment Chase set a foot on the ground after the kick, he quickly darted back the way he'd come from, hopping through the platforms again and turning to the left, headed for the fire-throwing walls, where he was hoping to put his elemental powers to good use. He had almost reached them, when he felt a small vibration under his feet. He didn't need to think much to know it was the Flash's doing.

So that's how he does it... I'm impressed.

Needless to say, he quickened his pace and arrived to his destination, where the bursts of flames came out almost instantly. The heylin warrior did not wait, turning around and extending his arms to the sides, making the burning flames swirl in his palms. Now all he had to do was wait for the Flash to show himself, and then he'd greet him with a few fireballs.

Lambda couldn't help but blush and look away from Tatu at the praise, still not knowing how to deal with it. "This wasn't for me." she said meekly "You're my master, and I'm your sword." she said trying to slip back into a more neutral tone of voice. But swords don't need names, at least not people names. Maybe it was too much to ask for that? she thought to herself. So many doubts began to bounce around her head, that she almost wished for it to be wiped away.

Zeal

"Junk and a pet then," Zeal noted when Tesseract and his forces spoke up about what they got. "Dalton, get the other Zealots equipped and then we shall leave! Schala, that means you also!"

Unless someone decided to stop them, the Zealots would take their share of equipment, though not more than half of it since Tesseract might want some for his forces. After that, Zeal would ask Tatu to send her forces back up to the space station. Zeal was happy with the Hypno-Pollen, the equipment, and the deal with Dr. Eggman in regards to the Ibistick and Hypno-Pollen.

Fair point, Menardi wasn't going to argue on that. Oh well, it had been worth a try. Mind games had always been something she'd preferred left to other people, such as Alex. She preferred simpler methods. She cast Resist on herself and the Master, the purple spectral magic-resistant shield flickering for a moment before becoming invisible. If the Doctor had the Stone on him, well, she'd just be killing two birds with one stone. She smiled and gently pushed open the door, making sure not to step inside. The moment the gap was large enough, a great fireball exploded inside the cell, as she released a Fiery Blast within.

Teridax

Teridax had no accidents. Unless of course if you counted that time he was turned into a trophy by a rag-tag Toa team or that time he was frozen by an unwilling puppet. But these accidents had little consequence and so Teridax decided that his life was one without accidents. That fact was not about to change today.

The fact that Magneto would feel Teridax being slowly but surely pushed out of his head was no accident. Teridax had seen the merging walls of mental steel and retreated. A slow retreat nonetheless and Magneto would be able to savor that sensation of throwing him out of his mind.

But hadn't it been too easy? A sudden doubt entered Erik's thoughts. Teridax had torn Briar apart from the inside yet he had left his mind almost willingly. An uneasy shadow lay across Magneto's mind and try as he might, his metal would be useless at dispatching it. Doubt was hard to shake off.

Was Teridax really gone?

"You have a splendid gift, Erik."

The voice rang through his head mockingly.

It was like a feverish dream. Teridax was there and then he wasn't, shimmering in an out of conscious existence between the sheets of metal. Then he raised a hand and smashed through a wall of metal like it had been half baked pastry.

"Such a shame you learnt it the hard way. Your mother was a kind soul."

Teridax dug his claws into another barrier and ripped it apart.

"Does she know her darling boy is a monster?"

Teridax chuckled as he solidified his presence in Magneto's mind. The sound echoing aimlessly as Teridax began to tear apart Magneto's mental barriers.

Meanwhile in the living world, Teridax swiped his hand through the metal strings in front of him. Shadow energy had formed gloves on his hands- careful preparation had cultivated a healthy store of the energy inside him not to mention the additional help he had from his Mask of Shadows.

In a clapping motion he drew his hands together, pausing for a moment so that his psychic self could spare a moment of concentration. During the pause, Teridax ceased his attack on Magneto's mind and returned partially to his psychical body. Triggering the Mask of Shadows, he felt the energy coursing through him condense to frightening levels on the tips of his fingers. In his mind's eye, he saw his shadow energy blast through Magneto's defenses, then, he made it happen.

He pointed his hands towards Magneto's circle of metal, his fingers pointing the way. The result was instantaneous. The Shadow energy punched clean through Magneto's barrier of metal front and back. Aside from a path of melted rubbish, anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the blast would have their skin boiled off their bones.

"I could wipe away those doubts."    Tatu said, crossing his arms.    "If that is what you want. I could wave my hand and return your mind to the state it was before I found you. Before I allowed you to become something much more... grandiose."    He gripped his chin, smiling.    "Although I am your master... you are not my sword. You are the master of your own destiny— is that not what you want?"    He reached for her hands, clenching them.    "Feel the power coursing through your fingers... know that you have defeated a figure of power of this world and claimed its power, its name for yourself. This deceased nation belongs to you too. Is that the job of a sword or of a warrior?"

Metropolis

And so, to those who wanted to return to the Space Base, a small portal opened up for them to slide through. The Space Base had increased considerably: it now had even more machinery, more rooms in the backs to store their weapons and supplies, a corridor filled with quarters for the crew and rooms for each Overlord. Oh, yes, and it had a crew now: faceless gray robots who controlled everything and oversaw the world media for any reports of superhero activity. The giant screen which Tatu had used earlier now showed a picture of the world map.

Saranac Lake Village

The shadow attack pierced right through Magneto's defenses, but the master of magnetism wasn't one to juts take an attack without trying to fight back. He attempted a dangerous dodge, and this attempt ended in a horrible dent on Magneto's health: the blast seared the left side of his face, scarring him so much that the man fell to his knees, clutching that particular side, yelling in pain.

"MARCO!" He yelled right after that, and Marco Maron got to action, dousing the area Teridax was standing in with a thunderstorm- that meant rain, thunder and strong winds- as Magneto raised his hand, creating a giant metal hand with long, sharp fingers out of the metals in the surrounding piles of dump. The hand tried to clutch Teridax from above, to pierce him from several spots at once, the thunderstorm hopefully working together with the metal to give him quite a shock.

Iron Heights

The fireball exploded, but it didn't take the cell with it. When Menardi opened the cell door, on the floor laid the good Doctor, completely unharmed, clutching a parcel in his hands and anxiously muttering to himself. If Menardi were to forcefully take the parcel, she'd find... nothing. "You want the stone?!" Doctor Alchemy queried, pointing one long finger at the Master. "I know where it is. I know how to get it. You- ha, ha!- can't kill me- ha, ha, haha!"

Central City

One could get speed from many things. Flash had leeched the vibrations off car engines, ferris wheels, even the movement of a planet, but he also managed to feel the speed of several other things one wouldn't normally associate with speed. Being connected with the Speed Force made you one with this feeling... this sensation of being constantly running.

As such, when he reached the corridor Chase Young was on, he could feel the air moving to allow the fireballs to move through, and he quickly reacted to that by wall jumping, barely dodging the fireballs with twirls just to drive into Chase Young's head what he had gotten himself into. And before he landed, he held out his hand to poke the young man right in the chest.

Bowser's Castle

Today was not a good day for the King of the Koopas. He had made another attempt to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom and take Princess Peach for his bride. He had suffered another defeat at the hands of Mario. He had trekked back to his castle in the Dark Land bruised, beaten, and humiliated once again. The castle wasn't in much better shape. As usual, it needed some serious repair work after Mario was done with it. At least the throne room was mostly intact this time.

Bowser grumbled as he trudged toward his throne. The members of his Koopa Troop that were stationed there hung their heads low as he entered the throne room. Even the Goombas knew that their king's latest attempt at conquest had failed. As he parked his royal shell on the throne, he turned his head toward a Magikoopa that was floating on a broomstick nearby.

"I almost had him this time, Kamek."

The Magikoopa was holding an ice pack to his forehead as he nodded sympathetically. "I know you did, sire."

Bowser didn't seem all that interested in Kamek's condolences. "If he hadn't had that Super Mushroom in reserve, I would have finally roasted him to a crisp!"

Again, Kamek nodded, and told his king, "I know, sire. I know."

Bowser continued on with his tirade, "If I could just beat that pesky plumber one time. Just one time!"

Kamek again tried to comfort his king, "Perhaps next time, you'll get him."

This remark snapped Bowser out of his pity party, and instead caused him to snap at Kamek. "You always say that! You always say I could get him next time, that I only have to beat him once to win! But you can see into the future! You saw Mario and what's-his-face in a vision when I was just a little Koopa Kid! You told me what steps I'd have to take if I wanted to beat him and take over the Mushroom Kingdom! Don't you know if I'm going to finally end his game?!"

Kamek tried to keep his cool as his lord accused him. "Sire, my prophecies only predict what can happen, not what will happen. The future isn't set in stone, my lord. Sometimes things happen that cause my predictions to fail."

He placed a hand on Bowser's shoulder. "Why don't you sleep it off, my lord? We can get to work repairing the castle tomorrow, and then we can focus on coming up with a new plan."

Kamek's explanation had calmed Bowser down, at least for now. "Yeah, maybe you're right. We'll try again some other time." He rose from his throne and started walking to what was left of his bedroom. He had stopped just before leaving the throne room, and turned back to Kamek. "I know I can be," he struggled to find the right word, "difficult . . . but you've served me well for all these years. If I sounded angry at you, I'm . . ." He again struggled, as he never wanted to admit feeling sorry about anything, even if he did care for his Koopa Troop. "Tell you what, why don't you take tomorrow off, Kamek? I can oversee the repairs myself, and the Mushroom Kingdom isn't going anywhere."

"Sire, are you-"

"Absolutely sure, Kamek. Good night."

Bowser then exited his throne room, entered his bedroom, and laid down for the night.

"Yeah, tomorrow's going to be a good day. I just know it."

The Next Day

Bowser opened his eyes, and judging by what little he could see and the tight feeling of what appeared to be a cocoon around his body, he was in no place that he recognized.

"What the-?! Where am I?! How the heck did I get here?!"

The Koopa King flailed around inside the cocoon, tearing little holes in the back with his spiked shell as he tried to make heads or tails of how he ended up here.

Okay, think. What were you doing before this happened?

The last, and only, event that came to mind was him going to bed. Whatever else may have happened, he could not recall.

That's it! I can't think in this cramped place! I'm getting out of here or my name isn't-

Wait a sec. What is my name?!

Out of frustration with his prison and with his inability to remember much of anything, Bowser tore his way out of the cocoon, which took virtually no effort, thanks to his sheer strength and his claws. Once freed, he turned his head to an unfamiliar sky and roared simultaneously in triumph over his escape and in rage due to his current predicament. A large blast of flame had accompanied it, ensuring that if anyone saw this act, they would know not to mess with him.

All in all, today was not a good day.

Zeal

Seeing that they were back at the Space Station and that the Overlords had rooms now, Queen Zeal ordered two of her Zealots to carry the Doppel Doll of Amora and the Hypno-Pollen into the room intended for her. She threatened to turn them both into Doppel Dolls if so much as a single item is harmed.

Schala whispered over to the woman she gave the four seeds to carry the seeds into Zeal's room as well.

Meanwhile, Zeal went over to the map to check on the situations in Asgardia and Metropolis. Metropolis should naturally be in a panic now, but Asgardia was a particular failure for her since she had to give up an army because of that woman and her thunder god! However, she did realize what went wrong... She got too greedy in wanting to claim the women rather than just letting them leave and taking the men while only that woman was around to stop her. She could have also have the men hold Sif down and kiss her, which would've put her under control. In any case, if she is to recruit people, she would need to be more subtle about it.

Menardi

Ah, wonderful. Thus far, things were going well. Menardi smiled and picked the Doctor up from the floor with a scaly arm, his feet dangling a foot above the floor. Now it was just a matter of persuading him to surrender the information. She looked deep into his eyes, and the Doctor was face to face to her own fiery red eyes. Her cheerful smile seemed out of place, with those infernal eyes and the soft red markings of Proxian warpaint.

"My dear, did I not say we were here to rescue you? Tell us how to find the stone, and we'll make sure you will be free from this place."
