Tesseract - Metropolis
"Greed gave an order to release all the prisoners, Dalton. Not a single one. He has been rash, impulsive, and uncooperative since the beginning. We must salvage this mission before he completely destroys the plan."
Tesseract stayed in the elevator, simply staring at Dalton. This was all much easier when he worked alone.

Dalton, Metropolis

"The plan is unimportant when our goal is to seize the building Greed is in right now," Dalton noted to Tesseract. "If Greed has an alternate idea which he had gotten while risking being discovered to achieve that goal, then I, at least, wish to see if it is viable before dismissing it outright."

"If you wish to be rash in response to Greed's impulsiveness, then feel free to do so, but you shall have no help from the forces of Zeal," Dalton declared to Tesseract, glaring to his ten subjects.

DESCO's answer came in body language alone, there perhaps being no words she found sufficient - her frame tightened against me in something approaching hesitancy, but there were no attempts to flee. Indeed, the knife was taken with no protest whatsoever, implicit or explicit, and inspected carefully in a manner deliberately reminiscent of the seasoned murderer. Displacement activity, as is obvious, but there was a definite sense of preparation there, a definite sense of steeling.

And as she dithered with herself there was an apparition of sorts, perhaps drawn out by her discomfort. Instinctively I want to call it a Stand, and while I doubt such a convenient classification exists, I feel this an acceptably close approximation of its true nature. In any case, now it has been revealed to me, I can say it is an ugly thing - a mess of tentacles and eyes perhaps five, four-and-a-half feet long, colours matching the purple-and-yellow of its diminutive host, looming quietly behind us and diving a lethargic attention between DESCO's hapless target and my own inquisitive gaze. Squid-like as it is, I suspect I've found the secret to her elusive subermsibility.

This seemed to embolden her, perhaps its explicit purpose, and the deed was done with no additional fuss whatsoever. As is to be expected from something so obviously engineered to kill - for proof you need only look at her acronym - the physicality of the act held no difficulty for her at all. The only resistance the knife felt came from her.

Predictably we were showered in few jets of blood as the knife withdrew, DESCO pressing against my hand as juvenility once again overran her intended purpose, and the intensity of the moment was shattered irrevocably. I couldn't help but chuckle. Plugging the wound with my a finger of my free hand, allowing my vampiric essence to flow into his veins, I squeezed her shoulder in reassurance as he changed and reanimated next to us.

"See, DESCO? That wasn't hard at all, was it? There's really nothing inside him worth fearing. Would you like to know a secret? Now you know that, the next time will be even easier. I'd like you to keep the knife, just so you don't forget what you learned."

As I relinquished my grasp and straightened up, the other side of the room erupted into bickering; against all logic, Greed had achieved his objectives and connected the device, but as a fatal side-effect of being Greed, he wanted to jump the gun and release STAR's prisoners immediately. Opinions differed, from Tesseract's cautious objections to Dalton's indignant acceptance, but I fell in neither camp. Actually, that's a lie. Being honest, I'll admit there was an instinctive objection simply by virtue of the man involved, but intellectually I knew there was no point to the argument. A breakout might have destroyed their defences, or it might have triggered something to tighten them a thousandfold - the problem was, with Greed in charge of the decision and no easy way to twist him around his pride, there was no way we could affect the outcome.

"We can't do that yet, Tesseract." I said, gesturing towards the windows. "It's still at least an hour until sunset. You can have the fat man try to persuade him, if you want, but we all know he's made up his mind. His bed is made, and he'd sorely benefit from lying in it. For good or for ill, we can pick up the pieces afterwards."

Impulse control suspended by a fragile web of interlocking mental illnesses and self-medication, Vaas' instinctive response to the sudden infestation of ninja came in the form of his machete. The SCAR landed with a quiet thud somewhere in the mess of roots and leafmold behind him, already long emptied, and his the beretta slid into his free hand with all the smoothness of the experienced murderer.

When the order to go prone came though, he was already way out of the line of fire, pelting between the trees in silent fury. His eyes darted around the treeline, pistol following, trying to find a target stupid enough to let itself be seen and waiting for the inevitable strike towards his back.

By the time the explosion shook through the trees, dislodging leaves and shaking branches, Monsoon was already airborne. As his arc rounded on the battlements and the moonlight lit up his hair in a halo, his hands opened, and a pair of smoke grenades touched down softly amongst the gathering ninja. They detonated a split second before he followed, shrouding the entire level in an aerosol of burning red prosperous and aluminium-coated glass fibres - visibility was limited to a couple of feet at best, even into the infra-red, and the world suddenly smelled of match-heads.

Visor down, high-frequency sai thrumming in his hands, Monsoon turned the momentum of his landing into a lunge for the closest memorised target.

Metropolis

“Listen here, you impertinent whelp,” Eggman said into his receiver to Greed, his mustache bristling with annoyance. “My name, is Dr. Eggman, not “Fat Man”. You’d do well to remember that,” he said, also glaring at Dio for a few moments.

“And I will ‘’not’’ be releasing any prisoners just yet,” Eggman stated to Greed and the room at large. “At least not until I can do a little more research into the "prisoners" of theirs,” he continued, pulling up the files for the prisoners, along with the rest of the info he’d been searching up.

Desco pulled back, abashed that she had been afraid earlier. But she was puzzled too, unsure about what she was afraid of, while she didn't know it Desco had felt empathy for the person Dio mercilessly slaughtered and was afraid of that happening to herself, or worse Big Sis. Desco just wasn't sure that she had learned anything yet, so she didn't respond at first to Dio. It was disgusting still, to have blood poured all over her and the others had felt the same disgust at it.

Desco didn't want the knife though. It was a weak weapon, it could barely cut compared to Desco's sword form. "Desco doesn't have anywhere to put a knife." She held out her arm above her, and Yogsothoth's tentacle opened up, creating some kind of dark magic at it mouth from which slid out a sword nearly as big as Desco, decorated purple and light purple with an eye on both sides of the hilt. "Desco can make better swords."

Desco readied herself as she was told to move out, but as her tail slithered out and pushed her up so her little body would be about centered on Yogsothoth behind her the order was taken back and they started arguing. "Desco wants to go already and rob the bank!"

Tesseract - Metropolis

There was a pregnant pause. But slowly, and surely, Tesseract stepped out of the elevator, his soldiers following suit. Tesseract hung his head, a shame washing over him.

"I apologize. My professionalism has been comprismised by my emotions. I will endeavour to not let it happen again."

Dalton, Being Indignant in Metropolis

"It is alright," Dalton frowned and crossed his arms, referring to Queen Zeal. "It might be possible to convince Greed of his possible folly if my queen were here."

"However much my queen is fond of him, it is no concern of mine if Greed dies to his own stupidity," Dalton noted to the others. "He has done what he was supposed to do which is our only concern."

"Only Dr. Eggman has the power to release the prisoners, and I trust his judgement on Greed's idea," Dalton complimented the rotund scientist because, even though he may be an Earthbound One, Dr. Eggman has shown himself to be useful as a skilled inventor.

"Nah, that's not how the game works, fat man." Greed replied, shaking his head as he walked back into the server room. "Now, my guess is that this thing you asked me to connect to this server is what's allowing you to mess with it. So..." He briskly reached out and removed the device from the server. "I wonder what'll happen now that I disconnected it?" He spun it around in his hands. "Interesting little thing, ain't it? Now, Amon knows everything, doesn't he? So he knows what's inside this place. If you want to know that, ask him, but right now, what you're going to do is open all the cells, or I'll start killing every living fuck in this place. Got it?"

Egg-shaped Eggman wrestled with a high-calorie truth and blustered to reassert his authority, bosom wobbling indignantly, but a single message from Greed undercut it all before his ego could come to fruition - as is always pleasant to learn, I was correct in my assumptions. If faced with losing, no-matter how small the scale, that man would rather destroy the game in its entirety. Against that attitude, any kind of argument becomes an exercise in futility.

"Let him do as he pleases, doctor." I said, leaving his belly out of matters. "We'll clean up his mess when we arrive. And if he's misjudged things and we have to take him back in a coffin, well, I won't be losing any sleep. Will you?"

Paying no attention to the world and boring politics of adulthood, DESCO balanced on a retractable tail and missed the point with brutal efficiency - lacking pockets and apparently able to generate swords, she failed to see the value of the knife that brought her into my world. A remarkably pragmatic approach for one so young, this is true, but not in line with not my desired result. The lesson hadn't quite sunk in, and she wasn't yet what we needed her to be, something to be rectified immediately. I wandered over to her once again, abandoning a situation in which we could do nothing but wait and observe Greed's gleeful tantrums, and kneeling, gently plucked the knife from her hand.

"This isn't just a knife, DESCO." I said, turning it in my hands so she could observe the blood congealing on its blade, the tiny fragment of skin that'd become stuck in the hinge as it withdrew. "That was the first time you killed a man like that, wasn't it? The first time you saw the blood so close. Your first 'slice of bread', if you'll let me call it that. You learned something, didn't you? Or... maybe you just saw something. Think carefully, DESCO, what was it you saw inside him? Meat, yes? Meat and blood. That's all men are, DESCO, even if they're too afraid to admit it. Meat and blood, deluded enough to call itself a man. But you know that now, don't you? Here's a secret, DESCO; killing meat like that, eating a slice of bread, these aren't things people like us should be afraid of. There's no need to be ashamed, and this... is the knife that let you learn that. That's why you should keep it. If you think you might forget, or if you start seeing more than meat, look at this knife. You'll remember what it taught you."

Tesseract - Metropolis

Tesseract's head shot up at Greed's next transmission. Shame over the fact that Greed had compromised his professionalism turned to anger that he was making a farce of the plan. He raged silently beneath the mask, endeavouring not to let it show.

"It seems I was correct. Eggman, seal the building. All outside communications, all electronic doors. I want as little as possible coming from that building during Greed's rampage. It is a choice between him rampaging now, and probably destroying critical assets, and him rampaging with the cells open, and most definitely destroying critical assets. We must hope these cells keep people out as well as they keep people in."

He paused for a moment, tempering his voice. Some anger had pierced through in the final few sentences.

"I believe I speak for all of us in saying that I am going to avoid working with Greed again."

Dalton, Metropolis

"I can see why my queen likes him," Dalton smirked as what Greed was doing was, well, exactly what Dalton would do if he was in Greed's position. After all, he was the only one crazy enough to threaten Schala's life when trying to take her from Algetty to the Ocean Palace where she was required to power the Mammon Machine. "We may as well do as he says then, and let him pay for his stupidity."

When Greed removed the communicator, it was he had the upper hand here. As much as Eggman hated it, he relented. "Very well, brat. I'll release your prisoners. It's you're funeral, afterall," Eggman said at last, mumbling the last bit under his breath.

Waiting until Greed reinserted the connector, Eggman completely sealed the building, and released the prisoners. He also sealed off any rooms that contained more delicate equipment and experiments.

"I've taken the liberty of sealing off any rooms with more... fragile equipment, for the time being" Eggman said to the room at large (but not Greed). "We don't need that brat Greed or those ruffians ruining anything important until we know they can be trusted-or controlled. Preferably the latter."

"Good to see you can do a simple job, fat man." Greed snickered, walking over to a microphone on one of the computer tables, connecting the device back in. "Now... Amon, was it? Have the fat man broadcast your voice through this place. I want you to whip the released prisoners into a frenzy... have them clawing at each other's throats. This place is a hunting ground, and the workers here are the prey. The ones who unite, survive and thrive... will get a place of power when we take over this world and all it has to offer. I've been yearning for some lieutenants for quite a long time."

Desco looked curiously at the knife, blood and flesh adorning it. She was curious about about what Dio said, what she was supposed to have learned in this. "Desco knows that blood is icky." But what was he trying to teach Desco. She concentrated, Dio wanted her to be braver in these things. A Final Boss had to be brave, she had to be able to face down any challenger. Yogsothoth reached out with one of his lower tentacles and grabbed the knife, as the sword in Desco's hand dissipated. "But Desco will try to be braver!"

Dalton, Metropolis

Dalton held up his hand to prevent anyone else from responding, and activated his communicator to talk to Greed.

"I suppose Amon could do that, but I would have thought that you would want lieutenants loyal to yourself rather than Amon," Dalton snidely commented on Greed's idea. "After all, you just freed the lot of them so they should owe you their lives, but if Amon uses his enthralling voice on them, then they will just be loyal to Amon, not you."

"Instead why not work with the prisoners to seize the building and if any of them starts to become a hindrance then..." Dalton smirked at the thought. "Well, I am sure you are strong enough to beat up anyone who oppose your leadership, Greed."

Dalton shrugged, turning away from the others, "But if you want the prisoners to be loyal to Amon, I suppose Amon could oblige."

"Dalton, General of Zeal," Dalton frowned as if he was irritated, "We have a little less than an hour before the sun sets, so we cannot actually start the distraction as of yet because of Dio's condition, unless you want us to go out without him and his forces."

Dalton frowned, but figured both Eggman and Amon were smart enough to keep Greed's desires in check. However, after turning the communication off, Dalton glanced over at Tesseract, crossing his arms as he continued to frown.

"I would like to say I am going to avoid working with him, but my queen is infatuated in him," Dalton said to Tesseract.

Tesseract - Metropolis

Personal gain. Greed was sabotaging the mission for personal gain.

Tesseract was going to reccomend Greed's removal from the group as soon as they had the opportunity to speak to Tatu. This would not stand.

"It will not be enough, Dalton. Turning the prisoners against each other means that what we come out with will be the luck of the draw. And if it's the most savage, they are most likely to be unable to listen to reasoning. Not to mention, the employees of this facility are themselves an asset, being scientists of great experience."

He paused. He tempered his voice, stopping it from straining with anger, and kept it at his normal professional tone.

"We need damage control. Someone on the inside who can repair Greed's damage. Without the distraction, we cannot cross the street with our wide variety of weapons and expect the police not to arrive. Whoever goes is likely to die."

"This incident has reminded me why I work alone. I volunteer."

Asgard, Hanging Gardens

Amora was laying on the ground, apparently lifeless, near the edge of the gardens, a beautiful small typical American city underneath the floating city of Asgardia. But once Zeal got close enough to the body... it would disappear! Behind Zeal, Amora would reappear, holding out her hand. "Begone!" She yelled, sending a burst of green fire from her hands, aiming to produce a blast that would send Zeal flying out of Asgardia and into her doom.

——

Asgardia, Outside

"Tell me, does this look like the face of a fool?" Loki asked, contemplating his face on the water in a nearby fountain. "I may make a fool out of you, but I am not a fool myself. I know of one thing: if I stick with this group, even if we defeat you, eventually they will turn on me. I represent everything they despise. The world is far too black and white for them to understand my morality. Besides, I couldn't be bothered by this whole taking over the world business. Already tried it once. Almost succeeded. Same goes for the opposite... saving the world? Not on my resume."

"All I want is for you to take care of some of my teammates. But not kill them, no... you see, in return for my inactivity in the fight against your forces and the information I shall give you, I want you to take certain team members and... twist their morals. This is an unusual universe, and there are many ways to do that. I want you to make them like me. Loyal little lieutenants. You give me them and let me live the rest of eternity in peace on an island somewhere or out there on the universe, and I'll help you do whatever you want to this pathetic Earth."

New York, Saranac Lake Village

"Not really." Raleigh replied. "It actually sounds... kinda nice. I've learned from a man, a brave man- a mutant, like you- that you must take pride in who you are, see the good side in yourself. You're at an unique place in this world... you could do a lot with your condition. Don't see this as a fall from grace. See it more as the rise... of the phoenix."

STAR Labs, Underground

Once Eggman pressed the button to open up all cells... nothing happened. For Greed, that is. His floor, or at least the room he was in, remained perfectly silent. The cell near him didn't open, and there wasn't a peep or a slither coming from anywhere near him. And then... it started. First, it was the thumps. Footsteps? No... the sound of bodies hitting the floor, the walls and the ceilings. The thumps were followed by the voices. Screams, laughter, people begging... you asked for it. And then, the alarm hit. More bangs. What was it this time? Perhaps someone trying to escape? Things in Greed's room remained the same: visually calm, but with a deafening soundtrack of terror. The 616 cell just wouldn't open, and Eggman's move had actually activated a 'opening in 24 hours' command for that specific cell.

Metropolis, Invisible Office Floor

For the people overseeing the operation from the office floor, it was a much different sight. Eggman now had access to the cameras, and he got to see just what the prisoners could do. He saw as a normal corridor was filled with labcoat wearing scientists running from a naked man who suddenly transformed into a lizard, biting down on the nearest scientist and throwing him towards the camera with extreme prejudice. On a lobby, scientists ran around, each one facing a prisoner of their own. A fairly normal looking madman hacked into a scientist. One was shocked into ashes by a prisoner made out of electricity, travelling through the walls. One slowly withered away, turning into a husk of dead skin as the old woman biting him became young and strong.

Each camera showed scientists getting obliterated left and right, army men getting kills here and there, but mostly running from prisoners. This display showed just what STAR Labs had in store. Every prisoner there was a WMD on its own, holding a power that, if explored properly, could cause massive damage. Scientists banged against the wall as a little kid tip-toed towards them, before suddenly transforming into a six foot tall musclebound man, squishing the oldest scientist with nothing but a simple press of his fingers.

This display of power was turning into an unnecessary bloodbath. Not only were the prisoners killing the scientists, but the prisoners were killing each other. Eggman barely missed a grotesque display when he switched over to one of the cell lobbies and every inch of the area was covered not in blood, but in a slimy green liquid, body parts scattered around. Whatever went through here liked to leave a mess.

Amon watched everything from behind Eggman's chair, the images reflecting in his eye, the man who knew everything seeing something he did not know. "Doctor." He said, recomposing himself. "It seems to me as if these prisoners would end up being a problem to us in the long run. Their stay on the laboratories has caused them to lose their sense of ethic, something sorely needed in an army. Greed might not realize that, but I think he has showed us a better alternative."

He pointed at Tesseract. "We shall inform Greed of the most dangerous of the prisoners, and warn him that if he desires to have his lieutenants, that he go after them. Tesseract, you should recover all artifacts and equipment we want. Although the good Doctor has sealed up the place, I think an alarm will escape soon enough." He then turned to Dio. "The sunset is less than an hour away. You could conceivably arrive at your location by accessing dimly lit areas, could you not? Then, by the time you got there, the sun would be halfway through setting."

Japan, the Hand Hideout

The totems seemed to be getting stronger with every attack directed at them, and something was keeping them up and working. At the same time, someone approached Anubarak and his servants from behind... a Hand ninja, holding two swords, who smiled as four more arms, each hand holding another sword, appeared magically on his sides. The ninja adopted a fighting stance, waiting for his enemy to move, just as one hand dragged Howard Sense into the portal, ready to gorge upon his plump meat...

Of course, this happened just as Moonsoon made his move too, attacking the gathering of ninjas that was going after Anubarak's servants. The cloud of red phosphorus didn't affect them, with the ninjas continuing to hide among the shadows, now using the low visibility to carefully sneak up to each of Anubarak's servants so they could carefully slice 'em up, aiming to drive their 'master' insane. The largest target, the six armed man, was also ready for this attack, and spun around just as Moonsoon lunged after him. Six swords in hand, the man jumped back far enough so that the mercenary would hit the ground in front of him, already doing a triple slash forward to take care of him.

——

The burly ninja barely had time to look back and react at the incoming rocket. But right before it hit him, the soldiers could see him joining his hands together, muttering something under his mask. The explosion happened successfully, taking out some trees, part of the wall, the grass on the ground and a few unlucky ninjas who were hiding in the trees and who had their last breath. The burly ninja, however, was nowhere to be seen... until a badly burnt hand sprouted out of Yuschenko's shadow, trying to grab onto his leg and draw him in.

As the ninja fighting Sy had his last breath, the one fighting Tailes, sensing an incoming attack, spun around in place, barely dodging the energy blast in the hopes it would hit Thailes, but not him. Just as this was going on, the ninja fighting Ramirez squirmed in the air, dodging his sword but not his foot, meaning that once he felt the full force of the rocket's fire he was very much alive, as his muffled screaming could show.

——

The Joker, who had taken a safe position away from the blast along with Crona and Free, clapped his hands. "I knew Japan had excellent fireworks! And I even have a person of indeterminate gender by my side. If I had a shrinking violet lady who's beautiful on the inside wearing ancient Japanese robes, I'd have hit the cliche jackpot!" He told no one in particular. "Well, I'd wager a guess that whoever controls this clan is inside that building. Therefore, ipso facto carpe diem répondez s'il vous plaît, if we get the person in there... the ninjas have to obey us!"

-On seeing the ninjas' tactics, the Nerubians fight them on their own terms. Burrowing as one, they disperse, surfacing to release a swarm of symbiotes or viscous strands of inescapable web before returning underground. Anub'arak turns to the mutant ninja, slamming his claws into the ground, a line of tendrils erupting towards it, sending any unlucky enough to be impaled into the air.-

Tesseract - Metropolis

Tesseract nodded, turned and walked into the elevator, but was interrupted before he could send it to ground level.
"Sir, you sure you want to go into that mess alone?"
"You have your roles. Besides, going into that... massacre unarmed is not a prospect that gives a high chance of survival."
"   Gud thing ah don't use those fanceh rahfles.   "

One soldier stood forward, shucking his helmet, mask, combat vest and sword, while pulling an impeccably folded trench coat from his bag. Slung low on his hip was an old six-shooter, and on his head he placed a stetson.

"   Eastwood, sir. John Eastwood. Formerly Pious Indenture, but ah left that name behind when ah left the Temple.   "
"...very well. Come."

Eastwood joined Tesseract in the elevator, and the pair made their way across the street to STAR Labs. Coming to the front door, Tesseract radioed in to Eggman, asking for it to be opened.
Tesseract's Mooks, Bravo Team - Iga and Kōga Mountains

Maneuver Team

The burly ninja would feel no resistance from Yuschenko, as he was completely unconscious. Possibly dead. The leg was not a good place to check someone's pulse.
Unfortunately for him, though, his shadow trick was not unnoticed. Initially running to Yuschenko's aid, Burns spotted the shadowy hand, and fired a burst of magical laser at it. She moved closer, sword drawn, and would continue to blast and hack at it.
Meanwhile, the other soldiers began pulling Sense back towards the fire position, keeping low beneath the arcs of possible suppressing fire.
Fire Team

The machine guns and precision weapons fell quiet, unwilling to fire into a smoky mass that possibly contained allies. If a ninja broke from the smoke, a quick burst of fire would come their way.

Behind them, Ramirez drew his sidearm and emptied the clip into the flaming, flailing, screaming ninja. He also closed in to stab the ninja a few times, just to make sure.

The energy blast completely missed Thales, it having been fired in the thought that it would burn straight through the ninja, and therefore aimed away from him. Thales countered the ninja's maneuver with a wild swing, while Hunter and Sy moved in to send shallow slashes at the ninja. It was obviously not going well for him.

Asgard

"Vector Plate"

From her vantage point in the crowd, Medusa watched the fight and saw her chance. She kneeled down and placed her hands on the ground and exerted some of her magic into it. As Amora appeared behind Zeal, a set of large black arrows would appear on the ground under Zeal's feet and along the ground. The arrow Zeal was standing on glowed red as Zeal was suddenly lifted into the air a few inches and forcibly moved to the side to avoid the attack. She was moving at a high speed, and soon enough moved over another plate. This one glowed and suddenly changed the direction she was being moved. Zeal hit one more arrow before it changed the direction of her movement to be directly at the Enchantress. Medusa tried to space them out enough to give Zeal enough time to figure out what was happening, she just hoped the queen could take advantage of it.

Japan

Crona tilted his/her head as they looked to the building that the Joker pointed out. "Is that really how ninjas work?" He/she asked, unsure if the Joker had reliable information. Free just grinned and cracked his knuckles as he walked over to the building. "Awright, this should be a piece of cake!" He said as he approached the first door he could find and threw it open.

Asgardia

Zeal looked in surprise as Amora disappeared, and would've been thrown off of Asgardia... Except an unknown form of magic seemed to have saved her... Arrows that were now moving her into a collision course with Amora. Given that this was not Zealian magic or magic that would be advantageous to the Enchantress, this must be the magic of Medusa... So naturally, Zeal extended the Ultimate Spear to try to stab Amora while Medusa was moving Zeal towards her and ready to jump should Amora try to blast her off the Arrow.

Meanwhile, ice began to form around Amora's feet... After all, Schala was there as well and this had went from a one-on-one fight to a three-on-one fight. Amora could probably break out of the ice given Schala's lack of training in offensive magic, but Amora would likely be more busy dealing with the current attack of Medusa and her mother.

Teridax

A silence followed Raleigh's little pep talk as the robot contented himself with simply looking at her. It was contemplating silence, as if the master of the suit was truly brooding on his place in the universe and his so called 'condition'.

Of course, he wasn't really doing that. He was busy allowing the sentimental atmosphere to seep into the stupid child looking up at him. He even allowed the red light from his optics to dim ever so slightly.

Not as nice as you might want to make it unfortunately. It cost me the life I knew and the future I had hoped obtain.

For a moment, the robot's shoulders sagged, his tone had grown sombre.

Still,

Hope entered the voice, re-fleshing the voice with it's smug impeccable baritone once more.

You are right that I have an incredible potential to live up to. Indeed, indeed....which brings me to the point....

Here the robot shifted on it's feet, as if to display the discomfort of it's possessor. Clearly, he was about to approach the heart of the matter.

The reason I stopped you on your way was because I'm currently looking for a man named Magneto. He...was on your mind so I approached you.....

The robot might as well have twiddled his fingers.

Do you know him?
