Pulling the current image and leaving a note:
As referenced by the TRS topic, this trope has no relation to Breaking the Fourth Wall or Medium Awareness. The OOTS one has a little problem with Elan expressing some Medium Awareness, but on the flipside it is used to Lampshade the variety of colors used for speech balloons.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Keep Until Better Image Suggested to the OOTS pic...the Boondocks one definitely needed to go.
Nthing "Replace with OOTS untill better is found".
Yeah, that was me. I freaked at the accusations made against the article, and wanted to purge it of everything questionable in order to save it.
I put the Order of the Stick image back now.
Understandable, but in the future when you think a pic may be causing or contributing to problems with a page, make a new IP thread.
I say Keep Until Better Image Suggested, but improve the image quality. The top speech bubble looks like someone tore off the top half.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Hey, look what I found: http://oots.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_characters_with_colored_speech_bubbles
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Err... there's nothing on that page.
Depends on what value of "nothing" you are using. It's a discussion of how OOTS uses the trope in general, although (admittedly) it doesn't link to any actual comic pages.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.No, I mean the entirety of what's on the page is
Are you sure you're copying the link correctly? It works just fine for me.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I can see the page contents.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. The page demonstrates thirteen examples of characters with non-standard colors for their speech balloons.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.It actually does link to comics—check the citations.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Of course, those are OOTS wikipages and not links to the actual strips.
And I need to stop hanging around the forums today with two cats on my lap. Got to write 2,000 words today....

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Breaking the Fourth Wall isn't this trope.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanBad example, remove.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I say the OOTS lampshade just emphasises the point. It doesn't confuse.

(From Black Cat)
I'm going to feel stupid for doing this, but I'm just going to screw around until the image shows up.
I don't think it resizes well.
That said, I don't really know if it even fits the trope.

we're so kink compatible we could pilot a jaegerThe mention of UI changes in the trope description reminded me of this example from the original floppy releases of The Secret Of Monkey Island (this small feature was dropped in the re-releases):
Anyone have the VGA floppy release? That version has prettier graphics and still retains the feature.

I needed the caption to understand the image. That's not a good impression.
OOTS is good.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. You know.. I've been trying to figure out exactly what this trope is about for years.
Seeing the proposed The Boondocks image actually finally explains to me what it's about. This is something that the current OOTS image fails completely at explaining. I just do. not. get. that image.
The old image was this:
I have no idea what's going on in the new one (which was put up a little over a week ago). It certainly isn't showing the trope. Let's put the old one back, shall we?
