So.
Who had the best lines in this series?
- Including Alucard
- Excluding Alucard
If I had to rank them in order, I'd go:
1) Alucard
2) Anderson
3) Walter
4) Integra
5) Seras after eating Pip

Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Alucard pretty much steals the show any time he's onscreen. As he should.
Props to the show for making me actually like Anderson. I found him obnoxious in the manga, but Ben's stylish vocals and impeccable delivery made him almost as entertaining as Alucard himself.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.What's he like in the manga?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPsychotic zealot that quotes passages from the bible as he slays heathens and heretics, with a awesome irish accent and a wonderfully hammy performance courtesy of Steven Brand and NORIO WAKAMOTO!!!!
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterThose AAAAAMEEENNNN Wakamoto roars were too notch ham tho.
Anderson probably has my favorite non-Alucard line in the series with his speech to the Iscariot about their purpose at the end of episode 5, specifically how he ends it on "and because it's fucking fun!".

I love his dying profession of love for The Boondock Saints.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.My favorite's still Anderson trying so hard to 1-up Alucard by recruiting Heinkel and Yumi, and calling them the "Axis of Righteousness."

Qui odoratus est qui fecit....So, I just finished the Abridged series. Well, almost, I think I have five or ten minutes left on the last episode.
Kinda want to ask: why did Walter want to kill Alucard so badly as to essentially torch his entire future? That sounds like a grudge that I don't think the origin of which was explained, though I may have missed it.
Also...yeah, snappy dialogue is definitely one of their strong points.
Also also, if I can take some of it at face value...the Hellsing Ultimate had some weird tonal shifts. I think it's because, at times, it uses motifs or moments that I would expect in, like, a slice-of-life such as Azumanga Daioh like with older Integra and Victoria bickering.
...Also^3, where the hell did that scene where Victoria is sucking on Integra's bloody finger come from?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Mostly Walter wanted to kill Alucard in Abridged because there was a whole lot of Unresolved Sexual Tension Walter had towards Alucard (in the original Walter wanted to kill Alucard to prove he's equal to him, which he is not). And Alucard was Girlycard during WWII. It's not really explained whether Walter is gay or he's really into Girlycard.
As for the finger sucking thing, if I remember correctly in the original since Seras never partake in drinking human blood and her abilities declining as a result (she needs SARDINES!), Integra slices open her finger and orders her to lick it. It pretty much plays off as very sexual.

Burning love!At one point during the breather episodes Seras tries eating normal human food but can't as she hasn't fed her vampire side. Integra being an understanding individual comes in and tells her this is what she is now, best get used to it, and pricks her finger so Seras has some fresh virgin blood to get some strength back.

Of course The Major's favorite Jojo part is Part 2.
