I made-up a creature for failed Spectre creation attempts. Also, have I mentioned that ghosts are Death Seeker? Oh, and I'll use this template when talking about creatures from now on. Is there anything else I should add?

Eidolon

Other Names: Lesser/Greater Eidolon, Rephaite

Height: Variable

Weight: About 21 g

Habitat: The whole world

Life Range: Undefined. It's known for expontaneously disintegration upon being too far from people and any other source of food*

.

Appearance: A picth-black skeleton, shaped as the creature it came from, surrounded by a dark violet aura, that behaves like flame. The "lesser" form usually has missing bones, most times waist down.

Abilities: Levitation (of self and others)*

, absorption of energy, unnatural cold * and emanation of heat*.

Behavior: It is known to retain some of its mind, and thus is known for haunting the people or the place it knew, or at least to adopt beast-like instincts.

General Info: It is born from failed attempts at creating a spectre. Its body is most probably made of ectoplasm, but it's also extremely unstable. Any piece that may be taken from it disintegrates within a second, and the bigger the piece taken the more chance it has for the "bone" (or even the whole skeleton) to disintegrates too. Even then, its aura is made of gas ectoplasm already in the decomposition process, emanated from its bones. It's known that the creature emanates some energy which helps to keep itself alive, and said energy also ignites the ectoplasm, generating the purple glow and increasing the amount of energy generated, but also speeding up the decomposition process of the ectoplasm (which would already take a few seconds to be complete anyways).

There are some mages which are known to willingly create Eidolons, and thus calling these "greater eidolons". It should be noted that all of the few known spells able to create an eidolon has already on its recipe a "mind-destruction" spell, althought some mages take that spell out of the recipe so they can "extract" the mind from the eidolon, using it as fuel and sacrifice for its spells, and sometimes even selling them in the black market. A greater eidolon has no mind from its own, and it does nothing until it disappears or until a mage command it to do something*

.

After writing this all I noted it'd have been better to write a text about it and use the above pattern as a summary, though as I want to write other creatures today, and I don't have much knowledge about how magic works on the world, I politely ask if one of you could improve my idea or rearrange it in a better way.

P.S.: In case I forget, the creatures I want to write about are: Salamander, Mulligans and some yet unnamed elephant humanoid.

Salamander

Also known as flying snake, boi-tatá and crawling smoke are a specie of semi-sentint being made of ectoplasm. Its original form is that of a transparent-liquid of bright white glow, that freely flows throught the air. Even then, it has the ability to shapeshift, frequently to the shape of a totally green snake, with no organs*

. The size of the snake, however, varies greatly depending on the individual's preference, varying to an arm's lenght to three times the height of a person. Also, sometimes they have other features while in snake-form, usually horns and wings. Though it should be noted that its shapeshifting abilities are far wider than only becoming a snake, thought while in the wild this is the most commom form in which it can be found.

As it feed off on energy, it follows the natural flow of energy around the world, being able to easily overcome the oceans when needed. Also, it feeds passively from the Aether, but is able to actively do so. The latter ability is the reason why many mages adopt these creatures as pets. Once the creature starts following the magic user, only because of its magical power, he or she may use it as a catalyser to its magic. With time, the animal may grow attached to its master. It should be noted that most of these creatures only shapeshift to another form when tamed.

Other names: Flying Snake, Boi-tatá, Crawling Smoke

Height: Variable, due to shape-shifting.

Weight: Undefined. When shapeshifting gathers more ectoplasm, becoming denser as it creates ethereal flesh, and thus gaining weight.

Habitat: The whole world, closer to big magical sources, as for example Ley Nodes.

Life Range: Undefined.

Appearance: Its original form is that of a transparent liquid (ectoplasm) with a bright white glow. Usually appear in the form of a green snake.

Abilities: Levitation, shapeshifting and to draw energy directly form the Aether.

Behavior: Some are very neutral and ignore most creatures, while others hunt animals only for fun. Even then most animals instintively fear this species.

I don't think I forgot anything, though I'd like to hear what you think about this one. Also, I had an idea for an individual, and it's kinda like an Ent.

I like them both, especially the Salamander. As for ent's we have Dryad but I don't think we have any traditional ent like creatures.

Actually I was thinking about one individual, but having an ent race actually would be better, I think. And I didn't type my other ideas, damnit.

I offer you the Entreni Duegar (And all Wood Duegar) and the Botanthrope Spore Trolls for your consideration in creation an Ent race.

Common Terms In Black Imperial Re: Elves and Dwarfs

The Sylvan are commonly called Sylvan Elves or just Elves except those populations that more commonly stop aging young, which are called Gnome, less commonly Sylvan Gnome or Sylvagnomes. The Elph descendants are also called Anima Elves or just Elves.

Duegar are commonly called Duegar Dwarfs, Elemental Dwarfs or just Dwarfs. The Dorf descendants are called Gift Dwarfs, Mortal Dwarfs or just Dwarfs.

No one finds this the least bit confusing.

I remembered an idea for Boogeymen. And also I had an idea for a location: The Cursed Twins (best name I could come off as of now). Anything that I should now for suggesting a location? (because my next suggestions for being should be for there, including those whose name I already mentioned)

The order of blowing leaves -

is an order of nomadic nature worshipers, mystics, and druids which travel Domhain sceal giving offerings and tributes to all gift spirits in the area, even masked ones so long as they aren't malicious*

They tend to travel in groups of four to eleven, and tend to avoid major cities and roads but will stop in them if there is a near by gift spirit.

They place a high priority on area's where they know worship and gift giving is low, as well as areas which are in drought or flooding. Seeing more then two groups in a given area is rare unless it's a harvest festival which often draws several groups.

Contrary to popular believe they are not a magical order but more a philosophical one that wants gift spirit's who watch over nature to be rewarded in some way, and to educate people on their existence as gift spirits often do not have the power to communicate directly to people, especially if nature worship has fallen out of favor. (Fewer than 30% of the order can use magic on average though in the past that number was closer to 50 or even 60%.)

The order is very loose with no set hierarchy as it's more of a philosophy than a true order, meaning some have used the name for the wrong reasons due to this lack of structure, but for the most part the order is self-regulating based on it's principles.

The Four-eleven -

The 4/11 is a group of 15 bandits which use nature to their advantage to rob, and pillage small towns and villages. The first group wanders through town a as set of four people mascaraing as a group of blowing leaves, they preform small task around the town and due the standard education, blessing and offerings bit and then leave and trace back to reveal the towns weaknesses to the 11 other bandits many of which are magic users, the four go off to the next town while he 11 bandits strike from the fields and forests at night, and make off with whatever goods they can grab, leaving massive damages in their wake, even burning some smaller settlements to the ground.

Rumor has it they have a pact with a vindictive masked spirit, who is slowly gaining power among those who sees nature's ability to extort.

This belief, this need, this yearning for comfort, it speak the Aether and births it. It is known by many names; The Reaper, That Which Waits, Grog, Terminus and more. It is not, as such, a very powerful Celestial God, but it is a very well-shaped one with a solid personality. It is thought by some that he, usually proscribed as a male in these cases, is an Elemental God, Death being a part of Nature. It is a tale that the undead can see him making rounds, a constant reminder that they have not rid of what he represents, only put it off.

Technicians cloak - The coat of extra arms

Magically enchanted leather cloaks/coats with long stripes of leather and rope with several fingers at the end. These coats have one - eight main arms with two - four shorter secondary ''arms'. Most common are those that have two main arms and two secondary as extra arms require their own enchantments and make these cloaks very expensive.

Most of the arms have simple commands, the second arms are used to seal the coat up without having to struggle with buttons while the main arm is used to hold items. Making it popular for those who might have to work with their hands at night, so that they may have their hands free. Also common among those missing a limb who can't afford a more sturdy magical or mechanical replacement.

Several variants exist mostly for combat, though select professions have their own variants as well.

The cloak of blades is used to weld a short sword with enough skill to strike and parry blows with reasonable expertise but is a lot easier to disarm.

The archer cloak is used to load up pull back a bow and arrow and thus has two have at least two arms to be effective. commonly used by Magical types so they can fire off spells or even enchant select arrows while the the bow is loading shots to be fired off with a word. Although this is not very effective if the bow is a compound bow or the bow is too heavy.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been too active here lately. As I mentioned last time I seem to be undergoing a really uncreative phase right now, I can't seem to come up with original ideas of my own, mostly I've been RPGing and such stuff. > < That reduced my job here to just keeping track of entries and votes. But if you want I can go back to doing that.

I'll get back to work as soon as I've caught up reading all the pages I missed. May take me a few days, though.

Meanwhile, I think I have found a way to get me back into writing: I've set up a storywriting game of sorts over in the Writer's forum! People suggests ideas and I incorporate them into one story as I go. The results have been- wacky, but fun. tongue More importantly I'm flexing those writing skills again! You guys are welcome to contribute, as well! Go here: [1]

Vague idea, introducing an Abyssal God or two to better describe the mechanics of them, primarily thinking of a mortal turned into an Abyssal God.

Jekhof Road To Perdition Paved In Blood

Jekhof is no Celestial, made from a collected emotion or belief. He was mortal, but none worshiped him so he is no Terrestrial. His madness, his self-justified cruelty, resonated with a glitch, a crack in the world and in a place under the earth that had never known lift the two things fused into an Abyssal God.

Jekhof has lived forever since then, with strange and terrifying power neither magic, mundane or mutant. He has been known by many names and many faces but those scholars who know have followed his path through history. He rises up and established a bloody regime supported on the back of slaves. He favors race based slavery, to ensure generation spawned after generation suffer under the yoke of his whip unbroken.

The one thing he fails to do is completely break them. He left their anger and their resentment grown, passed from parent to child for uncounted forgotten years until they rise up and kill him. Jekhof will only rise again, in a different land to do it all again. He will look toward the last place of his cruel world and in his eyes he will see a people now stronger from the suffering he caused. Firm in this insane belief, he carries out his mission to strengthen the world, one civilization at a time.

Tameirth: Race and Ethnicity -

Tameirth is more than 90% human, as it was founded by a massive collection of human refugees who someone found there way into the valley with little to no causalities. Humans in Tameirth tend to be very pale to fair skinned, their hair ranges from orange-ish red to dark brown, but blonde is not unheard of. The hair tends to either be straight or slightly kinky. Green and brown eyes are common, but blue eyes are not unheard of. Grey eyes are rare and considered a sign of great potential has the first king was grey eyed, as is the current king, and the king who instituted the constitution.

The other 10%- Besides humans, few other races can be found the only exception to this are the Brownies; which make up 8% of the population, the final 2 % consists of other races.

Origin's of Tameirth-

The story has been told for at least the past 1500 years but many say it's older than that. The people who would become the Tameirthians, were bronze age humans who were wandering hunter/gathers they lived in a remote valley far from Tameirth, a generation before they arrived however a war-lord forgotten by time drove them from their flat lands and deep into the rocky mountains. The once separate wandering tribes were forced to form into a united band, a light in the distanced seemed to beckon them toward it, as long as they were heading toward the light they seemed to be almost protected from the elements if they strayed from it, the mountains would quickly shift back into the harsh nature it's known for today. Many believe it was a god who lead them from the valley safely the only problem is the light disappeared without a word when they reached the edge of the dense forests. Still to this day many alters to the light exist often made of mirror or highly shined metal, because of this breaking a mirror when it is reflecting light is considered a sign of bad luck*

Many a repair spell has been spent to fix a mirror in Tameirth.

Tameirth did not start as a monarchy though, or even a single nation. The band divided to explore at first, there were 3 main groups and several smaller groups. The three main groups eventually became the three of five major houses, each was lead by a family which acted as it's head. Divided the Hoh House*

settled to the west, the Vostrkry House* settled in the east, and the Kelibi House* settled in the north. These houses began to struggle for control over the land as the small groups either gained power or fell into rival houses.

Alltus Tameirth, saw an all out war brewing and knew he had to act. He was close friends with members of each of the major houses and was a man of great vision, but not ambition. He did not set out to become king, but took the responsibility when it was thrust upon him.

He gathered a small band from the Tameirth house and others in the first settlement, and began to adventure between the tribes and houses helping them clear paths and creating goodwill, and bonds among his ranks. His small band soon evolved into a network of friends and like-minded thinkers. He asked the leader of each house to help him unite the band again, at first it was just as a friendly trading network. He and the band he created acted as defense force/ traders guild which protected all citizens where from a tribe or house and enforced a set of loose laws that all the houses agreed upon, which kept the land from becoming too lawless between tribes.

As the guild grew Alltus and the other guild leaders realized this was quickly becoming less of a guild and more of a nation, as demand for more uniform laws grew and more of the smaller tribes were leaving full control to the guild, and even the houses were letting the guild dictated their trading policies. When talk of a kingdom came up Alltus was hesitant to nominate anyone but before he could the other three leaders told him they'd decided who would be the king of the then unnamed nation; and was shocked when his name came up.

He first made sure, the three most powerful houses were made nobility and then worked to unite tribes closest to each other into villages and towns, using all the resources at his disposal to build even better roads between these villages and encourage land development along these roads. Each village and town got it's own noble family which had someone act as a representative to the king, hamlets and holds must send their issues to the closest representative and they report these to the king at their leisure.

...he (Genghis Khan) is either shown as a tolerant and just ruler who helped bring order in a chaotic period, or as a ruthless barbarian who slaughtered people for its own gain. The truth is a mixture of the two. He was a revolutionary conqueror in Asia for the time in that he allowed almost total freedom of religion, did not impose on the cultures of the defeated, and established a vast and effective trade and postal network that hugely benefited the Asian nations. On the other hand, he was absolutely ruthless to anyone who dared to resist his Mongol hordes.

Oh hello, Hrod, I didn't know you already existed on Earth.

The United Confederacy of Vespucci

Hrod thought they were easy picking. When the Black Emperor turned his attention from Iropa and sought to extend his reach over other parts of Domhain Sceal, one of his first ventures were Vespuccian Islands, a long chain of fairly large islands and numerous smaller nearbly islands. Each separate island, no matter how small or how close it was to its neighbors was a nation unto itself. Hrod thought they would operate better if they were united, under his rule of course. The Vespuccians disagreed.

He thought he could conquer them one at a time, seeing that their fierce independence would cause the others to ignore the pleas of their neighbors. If the Vespuccians did not have such enlightened leaders at the time, perhaps he would have been right. If Hrod had been older and wiser, perhaps he would have overcome that with guile and subterfuge. The Vespuccian's fierce independence would not broke the invasion of an outsider seeking to take it from them and the enlightened leaders of Vespucci conferred and came to accord. They closed ranks against Hrod and with superior naval force cast Hrod out from their home.

The Vespuccian leaders used the opportunity to downplay the independence of their country men and bring about interdependence, establishing in that crisis the United Confederacy of Vespucci. It was a revolutionary government, democratic and libertarian. Each island gave its patriotism to the cause, giving lip service to the whole, but in practice the unity was only half-way, each island acting as a nation-state independent from the whole. It is, from outsider's perspective, an often strange and sometime contradictory set-up but a combination of circumstances and culture will not allow anything else.

The Vespuccian are seen as a beacon of light against the darkness and tyranny of the Black Empire by other nations, and often style themselves now as the archenemy of Hrod. Since the founding of the Confederacy, they have thrown back one other Black Invasion as they call it, encouraging Hrod to sign a peace treaty with them and spawning the saying, "Never engage in a sea war with Vespucci." Hrod, on the other hand, speaks highly of them, although his many comments are interpreted as mockery by them, and the two power have been engaged in a generations spanning cold war. For the longest time, they refused to send a delegate to the Summit Of Nations at the north tip of Iropa, until Hrod prodded them by making it as a challenge of diplomatic warfare.
