Siobhan Mac Tir, “The Sons of the Land Hear Her Call.”

Bio: Born to two Tameirthic priests of Elena, the human child called Siobhan spent her formative years learning the (schizophrenic) commandments of the nature-deity. As she grew old enough to go out on her own, she began to take a rather hands-on approach to nature, frequently spending hours upon hours alone in the dense forests. Of course, as such things always happen to people of import, some extraordinary event determined it should unfold in front of her. Namely, a battle between two Werewolf packs- one aligned with the Primordials, one rogue group of man-hunters- in which she came into contact with a smattering of Werewolf blood.

Knowing that her fate was sealed, the leader of the victorious Primordials informed her of what was going to happen to her. Siobhan left her home that day, with nothing but the clothes on her back.

She trained for many years with the Primordial pack. She was a natural, learning to retain her mind when she shifted within only six years and learning to change her form at will within twelve. She also discovered another gift- or, rather, a Gift. Namely, the seemingly-unique Gift which grants her a powerful affinity to wolves and other lupine creatures, which came to be called the Gift of the Wolf’s Voice.

Now, at the age of thirty-two, Siobhan, granted the epithet Mac Tir by the Changelings of the Veil (yes, she’s been there), is a wandering priestess/adventurer, spreading the word of Elena and Baton alike while doing general good deeds (this includes everything from helping impoverished people to slaying dragons). She thinks that actions speak louder than words, and does as much as she can in Werewolf-form, to show that her kind are not all destruction.

She is followed everywhere she goes by a small pack of intelligent wolves, her faithful companions, which also assist her in everything she does. These wolves cannot speak the humanoids’ tongues, but can converse with each other- and Siobhan- freely. Siobhan’s reputation is well-known across most of Iropa and various other places, and she is likely to be recognised by many people. Their stances on who she is and what she does may vary.

Appearance: A tall, slender human of mostly Elven and Promethean features, Siobhan sports pale skin, short, dark hair, and pointed ears. Her eyes are the colour of grass, and outlined with laugh lines. She dresses in loose clothing (better to shed quickly when she transforms) in earthen colours.

This character can be translated easily into Legend Game System (Barbarian tracks, Legendary, with the Minions ability. The Barbarian's Rage is used to represent her Werewolf form), D&D 4E (Druid, beast form is a werewolf), and GURPS (though the things there are far too long to list, since it's GURPS).

Awesome. Nice combination of Elena and the Primordials' concepts.

I want to try my hand at character-creation for Sceal but... I have eyestrain right now. -_- Darn, maybe I DO need a vacation from this computer. At least the tinnitus is almost gone.

The Shining Knight

An inherited title granted upon whichever Shaman holds the Shining Legion. The original Shining Knight was a Shaman of purported purity of purpose, strength of will and a strong character, a shining example of a hero. Attracted to her were like-minded spirits that admired her character, a protective Primordial, a championing Oremna, a nourishing spirit of Elena who was destroyed and rejected taking up the Mask, a Silver Knight, a lightning dragon that's schemes to enrich the living standard of the surrounding humanoids had been cut short by murderous treasure hunters mistaking her for a treasure drake and a pack of Vine Slime. They all made to come inside the hollow of her spirit and merged into the Shining Legion.

She was granted the power to manifest a suit of armor around her body made of True Silver, decorated with shapes crossed between a dragon and a wolf. Placed in it were seemingly vital spheres, a large one over her heart and small one set in the brow of her wolf-dragon helmet. A green cape flew behind her, decorated with the manifested visage of the fallen spirit, now captured and enraptured in joy and featuring the spirit of Elena prominently. Surrounding her when the armor was on would be a swarm of pale green bubbles between the size of tennis balls to basketballs that would attach themselves to people.

In the armor, she had the power and ferocity of a Primordial werewolf and the werewolf's very presence of command over other people as she had in life over other werewolf. She had the wisdom and intelligence granted by the long lived dragon and the Gift of the Lightning Mover. She would not need to eat, to sleep, to breath while in the armor, becoming an implacable foe. She also had the power to heal and to comfort, granted by the nature spirit and made conduit through Vine Slime spirit who were the bubbles, they would latch unto people and impart the power Greater Biomancy to whomever. Her weapon was a protean thing of quicksilver, to be a sword or a staff or a shield, whatever she needed.

The Shining Knight, her identity kept secret, championed the cause of good and righteousness, fighting the good fight and righting wrongs. The legends of her deeds are immense and still told but that was over a thousand years ago. It was not actually that the Shining Knight died of old age, no. She died as many heroes must, a martyr, sacrificing her life against impossible odds so others may live. The Shining Legion though lived on, for lack of a better word for live, dragging with them their mistress's spirit and seeking out a new host.

So it has been for over a thousand years, when one Shining Knight dies and new one will rise. Often a female Shaman, for the original Shining Knight guides the Shininh Legion now and all of the original spirits, save the Oremna and the Vine Slimes, were female too. Each new Knight is a beloved champion known to fight for the cause of good and known to drop like mayflies as the power urges them on to their martyrdom.

What do y'all think of my Shining Knight? I actually tried to incorporate many different things into her.

Eddie says he may have to close down the forums to save cash (because Google is being a bitch again).

The issue is most likely fixed, but it never hurts to be sure.

Questions: in the event that the forums get closed, would the rest of the site stay?

(Or do you mean Sijo? Because that was my mom misunderstanding the title of the TV series "Sea Hunt" [1] as the main character's name. Hey, she didn't speak English, OK? Yes, I'm totally serious. (It also turned out to be a legitimate name in some Eastern countries, but that was a coincidence.)

GOA, I love your Shining Knight concept, thought there's a small error (the Orremna are not old enough to be included in her origin, I think) but otherwise, awesome.

Another thing I think the project needs; I have said this before but: VISUALS! Not necessarily for everything, but certainly major characters and concepts eg. Hrod. People want them in every supplement they buy. Plus I have a lousy visual imagination.

We don't need to draw them ourselves. The Internet is full of breathtakingly beautiful fantasy art we can link to. Heck, I propose we add a "visuals" section to the main page, with precisely such links.
