I've looked for your point and I can't seem to find it.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. Here's a picture◊. I'm afraid it says GPD. 8(
EDIT: Well, then again, maybe Chris Nolan just can't make up his mind. Here's why.

Care to critique my villain's prison escape plan?...
Oh, you don't like that they just call it Gotham?
I don't really see a problem. Gordon is really the only important member of the police force.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. This an incredibly tiny detail to nitpick over. If you're going to allege that They Changed It, Now It Sucks!, why not get in a tizzy about any of the big changes that Nolan made?
I didn't write any of that.I don't know about that, but my point is that Nolan is doesn't seem to care much about in-comics continuity, to the point that easily amendable errors like this get in.
See also the edit to my previous post for another possibility...
Care to critique my villain's prison escape plan?Nobody cares.
Well, that's just nice.
Anyhow, this conversation also concerns other bits of comics continuity that could easily have been slipped into the story, which The Joker Blogs is really, really good at. I want to know what other people wanted to see too.
And for, GCPD vs. GPD... It's important to me.

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.New York City isn't officially called New York City. It's New York. Maybe Nolan was thinking that if Gotham City were real, it would officially be known as Gotham.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Pointless thread is pointless.
Bite my shiny metal ass.Trivial complaint thread. We don't need this.

Whatever happened to Gotham City in the Christopher Nolan Batman films?
Actually, let me rephrase that; Whatever happened to Gotham City in the Christopher Nolan Batman films?
In the comics, it's Gotham City. That's why the police force is called the GCPD. I swear by Bob Kane that Chris Nolan deliberately goes out of his way to be as half-assed about these films as possible. We need a director who can make a quality film and respects the fans.
...This looks like a job for the guys behind The Joker Blogs!
So, what do you guys think about this blatant lack of research, and what else has he done in this manner?
(And no, comparing the New York Police Department to the "GPD" does not work. It's GCPD in the comics, so there. Yes, they have actually recognized there that the word "City" is part of the city's name)
