So I know that there's alrady a post for guilty-pleasure songs, but I thought it would be fun to start a thread about songs for kids that are just too catchy not to listen to. Yes, even if it's "I Love You" from Barney, you can post it here—none of us here will judge!!! :)

I guess I'll start, since otherwise I wouldn't have thought of this thread in the first place! One of my guilty-pleasure kids' songs is "This Is Me" by Skye Sweetnam, which was written for the "Barbie Diaries" movie. I first heard it when I hung out with a younger friend of mine (who was then a Barbie fan), and it pops back into my head sometimes. (I'll say to myself "Wow, that's a cute song. Where did I first...oh...yeah..." =/)

Here's a link to it, in case you're curious. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMwY8gesUU&feature=related

I'd have to say anything by the Aquabats, though I'm not totally sure if that's meant for kids or not. I think most of the fanbase is older than kid age, but I'm not sure if the actual band is aiming at kids or not.

Either way, they're pretty damn awesome.

[up] From what I've heard of The Aquabats, they strike me as just being for adults who have a particularly goofy sense of humor (not a bad thing at all mind you). One of them did co-create a kids show (with a heavy Periphery Demographic) for what it's worth.

Oh and personally:

Oddly enough, I never even saw that song on Sesame Street as a kid, but I remember someone gave me a mix tape with it as the last track when I was a teenager.

Other than that, um, do They Might Be Giants' childrens' albums qualify?

I like many kids songs, but none of them are really guilty pleasures, I'm afraid.

Sesame Street did give us this, which I forgot for so many years and was recently reminded of.

no one will notice that I changed this

Anything from the Class of 3000 soundtrack. But it think it's purposely intended to be enjoyed by parents, young kids and everyone above or between. I also like the preschool show band thingie the Fresh Beat Band.

Will Smith and Bill Cosby didn't have to cuss to sell records!

[up] Seconded.

"The Word is No" from Sesame Street:

That thing was so catchy.

Also, I like nearly all the Lazytown songs.

"Pluizig En Blauw". The Dutch translation of "Fuzzy And Blue". I like the lyrics and the vocals much better than in the original American version.
