I agree, I found this chapter pretty bad. I have a feeling this arc is going to be about Raku appreciating how Yui works hard to be so perfect and it'll probably be bleh.
I got a feeling it'll be somehow Raku's fault that she's overworking herself. Or rather it'll be treated like it is with no real reason.

Actually, I saw it as a chapter dedicated to showing how and why she was running herself down. The praise was just showing us how flower-wreathed her goad was.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. It is already being treated like it's Raku's fault, if what the Char Siu midget said is any indication.
he was kinda dense about it,but Yui was being a bit of an attention seeker there,i think, with all the showing off.
Secret SignatureAnd most of it is completely unrelated to Raku.
Raku shouldn't be expected to be responsibe about making sure Yui doesn't push herself beyond his limit. But he will be, I'm sure.
And if it turns out she was doing all of it to show off to him and it's still trated like his fault then... that'd be pretty damn stupid is what I'm saying.
To be fair the mafia groups in this story were never presented as reasonable people.
Didn't you know? High school students are supposed to be more mature and knowledgeable than adults. Raku failing to keep her in line is a grave failing and he should be ashamed of himself.
To be fair, Yui isn't much of an adult yet either, agewise.
But yeah, this is, without a doubt, not Raku's responsibility. Yui bit off more than she can chew, and now pays the price for it.
Chapter 147 is out.
Huh, this turned out a lot better than I feared it would. Raku didn't apologize for anything.
Also, I had a good laugh at him sisterzoning Yui again.
Huh. Yeah, that was actually pretty good. No complaints here. Good job, author-san.
Honestly, Nisekoi always seems to do better in my eyes when it's going for feels as opposed to laughs.
hmm.still not sure if Raku knows that Yui sees him that way.probably not.usual harem density i guess.
so Ie calls Yui this?
wonder if we'll get anything about Raku's mom.she might be the one who gave him that hairpin.
Secret SignatureWhy did the flying granny toddler keeping calling her 'this' anyway?
Language barrier?or it was actually "this child"?
Secret Signaturechapter out.
ah,so even Yui gets embarassed?how nice.
i'll let Raku's Chaste Hero density pass here.Yui's too much of a tease, and they're pretty much siblings.he makes a decent point.
Ie is starting to get annoying.or the "this" at least.
Secret SignatureBleh.
Also, christ, are any of Raku's love interests capable of pursuing him without another character pushing them along? Apart from Marika, I guess. Onodera gets Ruri and Haru, Haru gets that lesbian, Chitoge gets Tsugumi, Tsugumi gets Paula and Yui gets Ie. When Paula falls for Raku will she get a third year middle school student hitman transferring in to help her?

Nah, she just needs to get Chitoge to help her. That solves it.
If he married them all he would create a criminal empire in the process wouldn't he
Ugh... more forcefull machmaking. I'm not really fan of stuff like that. How dull.
Wait, Marika does have that one friend from a little bit ago. There you go, every love interest has their own matchmaker.
probably the most annoying one too.
Secret SignatureWhoever marries Raku will have to bring her matchmaker to the wedding night, to sit next to the bed with a Kamasutra and guide them every step of the way.
That person will probably have to raise their children as well.
I like Yui, but a whole chapter dedicated just to praising her and talking about how perfect she is - without a hint of irony - was just obnoxious.
