Him being Gonk (in comparison to most main characters) is a MAJOR relationship/plot point of the first arc.
(FYI: He is the pig and the silver guy as well.)
Looking at it again, I especially like how they managed to give all three "worlds" (Real Life, normal VR internet, and the accelerated world game space) slightly different art styles.

Not to sound like a broken record but since I seem to be becoming this forum's Official Cynical Mecha Fan.
Only one show, and its a friggin sequel to Eureka 7 (which I thought was mediocre)
Bah.
The list is nowhere near complete yet. Shows will keep getting added until a few weeks before the season starts

I'm starting to get really hyped for this season. The two retro shows, plus Kyo Ani doing a LN, plus Space Brothers, Amnesia, Kanojo X...
Now that you mention it, this season's offering is pretty varied. Time to try out some shows I don't usually watch!
