Everything is an Evangelion rip-off.
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuEspecially Evangelion.
I mean, it's literally shot-for-shot identical to NGE.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."whatever
I was never a big fan of Eureka Seven anyway, so... yeah, not watching.
It's an Evangelion rip off?
-dies a bit inside-
Sorry... but how exactly? (And yes, spoilers please).
Infinity...Huge mecha... Nuff said.
Ergo by haters: Anything with Huge mecha is a rip-off of Evangelion.
LOL
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuNo before I stoped read manga it was about random gigantic alien that caming on heros island (usualy always single) to be beaten by Nirvash...
Monster of the Week and such. There is chance anime will have different approach so I planing look on first episode but...
Sorry but I did see my share of mecha animes, and there are many I liked (NGE isn't among them though). I will consider that comment as in Joking Mode and will not feel insulted by that.

But the mecha in Eureka Seven look nothing like and are in no way related to those of Eva. Plus I don't remember Shinji ever changing hair colors and having a girl (who doesn't pilot a mech... on her own )with a non-mental disease (asthma) to look after.
So it's starts with Monster of the Week format? I don't mind that as long as they eventually have to leave the island.

Infinity...Despite fact that both Evas and LFO are living creatured recreated in mecha. And both series have serious case of teenage angst (talking about Ao of course) so there ARE common points
Today we should get first episode so we find what we should expect anyway.

For the record, I've watched a lot of mecha too, and Eureka Seven isn't really similar to NGE.
Eureka Seven isn't. Eureka Seven Ao (official manga) is. That is what I have problem with!

Ohhh. Well, I haven't read AO, so I can't judge it for myself, but at least you've convinced me to watch the anime. XD
I just noticed that Renton wasn't an angsty protagonist, he was really enthusiastic throughout.
Well, just going to have to wait then... Hopefully it'll be subbed tomorrow.
Also: Has Funi picked up the lisence yet? Because they are the ones who dubbed Eureka Seven and I want to see all the dub's actors return.

Infinity...Funimation didn't dub Eureka 7, Bandai did. But since Bandai doesn't handle dubbing anymore, I dunno who's gonna grab Ao.
Oh...
So the new policy is to cut out the middle man and charge us the expensive Japanese prices?
I want to hate it but I can't since it's actually a good business move and I'd pay whatever they wanted anyways.
Wait, doesn't this mean I have to learn at least a little kanji so I can navigate the dang stores?

Infinity...Just watched Jormungand. It's fun in a black-comedy, narmy sort of way. That and it has guns.
Just watched Haiyore! Nyaruko-san. Call Of Cthulhu on crack and moe. Nyarlathotep is an otaku, Call Of Cthulhu references, alien trafficking... yeah. Worth a watch just for the eponymous character being voiced by Kana Asumi.
MAL || vndb || BlogOr just use Japanese Amazon's English button?
I don't get that show. So Eldritch Abomination find entertainment by going to earth?
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuThey have that?
Rewatched the first episode of Natuiro Kiseki, it's still good but I'm afraid it'll turn into 'lets make my wish first! No my wish! She's so selfish like that! forever.
And Why don't they just wish Saki doesn't move? Or do the wishes wear off eventually?
Infinity...Thing is, the supposed abomination isn't very Eldritch at all. As I've stated already, the Lovecraft part of the show basically amounts to random Cthulhu references. You could change the identity of the girl from Elder God to alien and nothing would change plot-wise.
BUT! It still is very entertaining. Nyarlko is a relentlessly cheerful otaku girl and the whole thing's like a parody of the boy meets mysterious girl type of stories. It's got some laughs packed, and I personally like the somewhat black comedy.

So Eureka Seven AO has probably aired in Japan by now since it's Friday there already. Can't wait for subs.
Yes I'm excited!!!!!! .
Infinity...Fate Zero: Keeps on going, keeps on being awesome for us Nasuverse fans. Finally got around to animating the dogfight. Epic. Win.
Haiyore! Nyaruko-San: Pretty darn funny and I liked it even though it inverts the mood of the Cthulhu Mythos it draws from (which I'm a big fan of, course, I also live by the MS T3k Mantra). 4Chan is in friggin' love with it, even the fa/tg/uys like it. Hope that means it gets dubbed at some point.
Sankarea: My prayers are answered, they actually made this wonderful manga into an anime. First episode covers the first chapter (i.e. gets the introductions out of the way). Glad they didn't sensor the guts hanging out too much. Can't wait for more :)
Rock Lees Springtime Of Youth: Seems to be a half-decent comedy spinoff of the ball-bustingly popular Naruto franchise. Like how it focuses on some characters that don't get much screentime in the main show/series.

I still need to find time to finish the first Eureka Seven before watching the new one.
